Stayed for 3 days. Wilna took really good care of us, going over and beyond for us. The cottage was clean and well equipt. There was always enough hot water for a long shower. I will definitely be going back. The signage isn't great and a 4x4 IS A MUST to make the trip once you get off the main...

Friendly people. Poor signage and if you don't have a 4x4 don't go. Further more it's a cottage. 3 star is pushing it. Very dissatisfied based on the rate. Look reality was it's a pretty setting but it's not a lodge to be perfectly honest. At best an average stay.

The food was absolutely marvelous the Hospitality of the staff( Wilna,John,Fiona and Werner) are top notch. The champange lunch was the best. We stayed at the lodge for 2 nights. The welcome and hospitality was fantastic - felt at home FROM the moment we parked our car! The owners were wonderful. The food was great - nothing was too much for them. We especially enjoyed our Champagne lunch and our barbecues (braais) at night - wonderful. The bathrooms were lovely. The walks...

I was absolutely beyond impressed with Oori River Lodge, the service was out of this world, truly going the extra mile for the client was exactly what Wilna & Jack as well as their Daughter did. The setup and the nature was beyond spectacular. The food was most delectable and mouth watering. I would recommend this lodge to anyone and...

Having moved from Europe to Joburg just a few months ago, my husband and I were looking for a weekend-escape not far from where we live now. Even though we had a little problem to find where to turn off the N512 (look for the sign that says 'Lost Paradise'!), the pleasure began when we passed the entrance of the...

On a holiday to South Africa (from London) my husband, teenage son and myself spent three days and nights at Oorie River Lodge before moving on to visit family in Johannesburg. It's hard to believe that the Oorie Nature Reserve is only about 40 minutes drive away from Jo'Burg, as the reserve is so peaceful and idyllic, and well off...

The service was friendly, the room was very clean and the atmosphere very relaxing. I loved the view of the mountain. I can recommend it!!! But I think a T.V in the room would have made my stay more comfortable. There is a public lounge where you can relax and watch T.V but I would have like to do that...

We stayed 3 nights in the B&B part. I wanted somewhere quiet and comfortable in that area to take my 85 year old aunt. We had excellent food on 2 nights and ate out at the Portuguese restaurant/motel quarter of an hour away o the third night. Our stay could not have been more different to the one negative review...
