We read an article in Smithsonian Magazine in September, 2016, and went right to the internet to learn more about the spirit bears and the Spirit Bear Lodge. We have always enjoyed hiking, camping and canoeing but never in such a real wilderness. The TripAdvisor reviews convinced us we should experience this exciting adventure. The reviews were correct in reporting...

I had been looking at the B.C. Aboriginal Tourism sites ever since our trip to NW B.C. a couple of years ago, and also to Haida Gwaii. I kept coming back to the Spirit Bear Lodge and thought it would be an amazing experience, especially if we could actually see a Spirit Bear. I had seen incredible photos of this...

Thanks Elaine for your kind words about your experience at Spirit Bear Lodge! Indeed you were blessed with a beautiful encouter with the white bear. We estimate only 50% of our guests in any given year will see the Spirit Bear. But when it happens its magical! Tim McGrady General Manager Spirit Bear Lodge

Spirit Bear Lodge is in an excellent location at Klemtu in the Kitasoo/Xai Xai's territory as it is central to all potential wildlife/bear viewing areas. The Lodge itself is very comfortable and the food is of an excellent standard. However, what makes it all special are the quality of the staff, guides, and people associated with it. Tim and his...

It’s been almost a year since I visited Spirit Bear Lodge and since then I’ve struggled to find the words to write this review. I suppose I should start by saying it was the best holiday ever—but it was more than that. In your time with the team at Spirit Bear Lodge you can expect to see 19 bald eagles...

We spent 3 nights at the incredible Spirit Bear Lodge safely tucked away from the noise and clamor of urban life. Moose, a member of the First Nation which owns the lodge, picked us up in Shearwater for 90 minute ride to Klemtu. He pointed out orca and humpback whales along the way. The manger of the lodge met us...
