We stumbled across this village by chance: we'd heard about it, been recommended to visit it but could never find it. To cut a long story short, turn off the 125 at Budens & take the first exit off the little roundabout. After about 1,000 metres, the road runs out & you're left to negotiate a dirt road which, after...

Yes it's a beutiful place and it can be very relaxing and provide a really pleasant stay. But being such as small village may turn it into a nightmare. We've been told about the children running around during the day but we never could guess and be prepared for a group of mature individuals doing a party in the only...

We were tipped off to this property by an article in the NYT. We only had a night to stay in Algarve and it wasn't yet beach resort season, so this off-the-beaten-path 'village' seemed like an ideal spot to see something new. And indeed it was. Our cottage was spotless and very tastefully decorated. While the location seemed a bit...

This is a rather unusual location for a holiday. Described as a 'forgotten village' Pedralva has been restored and the little houses are now used as a holiday accommodation. The peace and quiet is wonderful and there are many walks straight out from the village plus many other lovely places to visit not far away. The wildflowers in April were...

My fiancé and I visited Portugal in October 2012 and have been meaning to review Pedralva ever since. We spent 3 nights in one of the villas with a big terrace and BBQ. We found Pedralva to be amazing for the size of space you get, the quality of the villa inside, and the peace & quiet you get from...

We picked this place based on all the high recommendations on trip advisor but were extremely disappointed by it. The only thing we loved in this place was the restaurant and the great staff at the restaurant. First off we had booked a "room with courtyard" but that is certainly not what we got unless I am misunderstanding the definition...

A great experience. We booked one night but we decided to extend our stay. Very quiet and peaceful. Off course, not easy to reach unless you have a car. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our one bedroom house was very spacious and very cute. We used the kitchen to cook and had dinner in a small patio next...

Beautiful old village, completely renovated. Excellent food, very nice restaurant with local quality food. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The place is a bit secluded but close to the top surfing beach in Algarve. There is no tv but many leisure activities like biking and surfing. The swimming pool is beautiful.

We stayed for two very relaxed and enjoyable nights. The rooms were spotless clean and pleasant. The place itself is very charming and some of the best beaches in EU are right around the corner! If you look for an unspoiled environment with a good price/quality ratio, you are certainly right.

It is a great place to get away from routine and stress. Fantastic location, great service and very nice surroundings. The houses have the excellent size to accommodate a family or group of friends. There are great beaches within 5 Kms. The country field is great for hiking or just a relaxing walk. No internet or phone service in most...
