First things first, this place is heaven. The rooms are fabulous and supremely comfortable. It's present in a beautiful location surrounded by mountains. It has just enough amenities to let you have fun and keep you relaxed. I booked this place for my honeymoon with Valentine's week package. The welcome drinks were spot-on, the best we've ever had. The food was great too, just one dish had slightly put us off, but that's perfectly okay. We enjoyed a game of pool and chess. Room service was prompt, and the staff was very polite and professional. We planned for a week stay in this beautiful resort from 29th Jan to 5th Feb 2022. I checked the possibilities of snow fall on 3rd to 5th and planned our week long workation, school and holidays here. The resort is a perfect setting.. in the middle of valley , surrounded by peaks...Since we were needing space for kids to attend school n college and office for both of us, I booked Chinar Villa, which is 2 bedroom villa in the resort. Its a perfect place for family with big lounge on ground floor with Kitchen and two beautiful bedrooms on 1st floor. Kitchen is not fully operative. It has beautiful views and we were lucky to witnessed snowfall on 3rd to 5th Feb and after that its turned into fairytale scene. Now coming to service... I have taken 1 star out becuase of two…

Dear Mr. Tarun, Thank you so much for your kind and earnest review. I have made due note of your valuable feedback and profusely apologise for the wi-fi issues that you were having during your stay. The main server at the time was a little down it seems, but I can understand the impediment it must have been to the smooth functioning of your work, and I apologise for the same. We too resort to our phone hotspots quite often, but I am trying to find a way out of this problem. As for the breakfast options, I have communicated the same to the chefs and they will be working on improving the breakfast spread when we have fewer rooms and no buffet. That said, we are always open to your requests and would be happy to serve you the breakfast of your choice throughout your stay. Please do keep that in mind whenever you visit us next. In fact, based on guest requests, we prepare elaborate breakfasts with just a day's notice. I will make sure that my team conveys that more effectively to all our guests. On 9-Jan I called front office to check the status of manali roads.. they informed car can reach till UR. So I trusted them and no made any prior arrangements. I started at 3PM at shimla and reached manali (Near Green tax) at 5AM and understood Roads are bad and impossible for 2WD vehicles. Called resort at 5AM if anyone can help me to arrange transport to reach UR but the irresponsible responses surprised me. Concerns/Experience: Front office who answered my calls were not in a position to talk in English. They want to cash my situation by saying 5000/- for transport arrangements. I was suffering in -10 at 5AM to enter manali and they were not concerned. By the time I reach UR my hands freezed and not in a situation to write anything. They forced me to fill the details in…

Dear Mr. Anil, Thank you for your kind review and for also pointing out the concerns as you had done so directly by me. I would like to inform you that I did conduct a full inquiry on the issue, and the following is what I was able to gather : - - That the front office, upon being asked regarding your tentative time of arrival, did provide the numbers of the taxi facility and also clearly mentioned to you that the resort does not directly provide vehicles for transport. - That your estimated time of arrival was not specified to them beforehand. I can understand that transportation in extreme weather conditions can span well beyond the estimated time, but they would have been able to serve you better had we had a few hours notice. This is the same reason why the heater might have not been placed in your room upon your arrival, and I am told you reached our resort early in the morning whereas our check-ins take place only post 1 PM. Had the front office been informed about an early check-in, they would have definitely assisted you better. We host early check-ins and check-outs very often and the team is well versed with the drill. I advice you to keep the resort staff informed beforehand to avoid such inconveniences in the future, both for yourself as well as for them. - We have had a case of fraudulence in the past, which is why we have had to tighten up our security and check-in procedure. The staff informed me about providing you with a heating facility to warm your hands before initiating the check-in formalities. There is also a contactless check-in form on our website and had you wished to fast-track the process, you could have submitted us your contactless check in form with the id proof copy. - Moving on, my staff is mostly versed in Hindi and some are versed in English. Had you had difficulty, you were welcome to request for an English speaker to get on the line. Given that all the staff goes to rest post 11 PM, the security guards are able to provide most assistance in Hindi in their absence. - I would also like to clarify that there was not a lack of concern as much as a helplessness on my team's part to reach you via transportation. They assure me that they tried their best by providing you the transportation company's details. You are adviced to book your shuttle or taxi beforehand next time. While having noted your concerns, I have tried my level best to provide you a well-rounded response to the issues raised. I thank you for levelling your review so maturely and still awarding us a 4 star rating. It shows your generosity and level-headedness. To conclude, I apologise for the inconveniences you faced, and assure you better coordination in the future, provided you are able to allow us a heads up and give us prior notice. the view during snowfall is magical at urvashis retreat, it was like walking into a fairytale. its also the best in infrastructure across manali. we had a 3 night stay here and we had the best time. we were lucky to get snowfall during our stay and had booked a luxury room with a huge balcony. perfect to enjoy the view, they were nice enough to give an additional heater as we were feeling cold. very thoughtfully made elegant boutique property. food was alright, surely a lot of scope for improvement. very happy with the staff, everyone was quite helpful. definitely booking this for any future visits to manali.
