We stayed in this property for 2n and enjoyed all aspects. The property is close to Dhela and Jhirna gates and has excellent staff. The food was very good and different options for all meals. The rooms are spacious and clean. Do safari bookings through them only.

My wife & I were on a Corbett exploration trip for 9 nights across a couple of resorts and Dhikala FRH. We stayed @ JJR for two nights. Our objective was to explore resorts for future trips, since we run a club that facilitates wildlife expeditions in India for our members. The resort is aptly named a Jungle Retreat and it has indeed put the right measures in place to make it so. While a luxury resort, it has established processes such as a no use & throw policy, developing an environment has blends with nature, segregated waste disposal etc, that truly embodies simple, yet important steps towards making a resort eco-friendly. The food was delicious, especially the continental lunch. As a wildlife photographer, whose trips generally average 8-10 days, I skip lunch. But @ JJR, I just couldn't resist the food. I'm not a big fan of north indian food, despite that the kumaoni dinner at the gol-ghar was heavenly and an absolute delight. While heading to JJR from another resort, I informed them only 15 mins in advance, that I had friends with me who will join me for lunch, before driving back to Delhi. They courteously organized lunch for five people, instead of two, despite my request being quite a late one. I thought that was a really good gesture. The sensitivity with which a resting python that had made a meal out of a langur, was managed was exceptional. This python was resting in a waterhole just outside my lodge, and the staff kept regular watch to ensure it was safe. I would like to specifically call out Nazir Rizvi for his engaging service - helping me understand how they use local produce in developing products, for the pickle tasting session during dinner and for truly being an awesome host during every meal. Finally, do I have a couple of improvement areas for JJR - Yes... 1) When I requested for packed refreshments, the first thing I was asked was, whether my safari was booked through JJR - I request that the staff be instructed to refrain from asking such questions, since amounts to service differentiation and can spoil an otherwise wonderful experience. 2) While it is not possible to keep insects out of the room in such environments, quick responsiveness to guest calls can help. Different people have different tolerance for insects. While I was ok waiting, others may not. Hence, request prompt action when you receive such a call. Finally, a big thank you to all the staff, particularly the local staff for being extremely warm and welcoming...

After a great deliberation of whether or not one should travel during the pandemic times, we chose to go ahead with our short break at Jim's Jungle retreat. The good thing was that they were running at lower capacity, all tourists had to carry negative rtpcr or be double vaccinated and their staff was all staying in the campus. The stay provided the family with a much needed respite from the stressful year that had gone by. The resort is lush green and the cottages are all spread out giving a great feel about being close to nature. Food was great with a lot of personal touch and the staff ensured that we had a very comfortable stay. Nature walks within the resort were interesting including the one done at the night. We went on two jungle safaris but unfortunately did not spot any tiger. We did see deer, foxes, elephants and various birds though. We did two excursions from the resort. One to Boar canal and one to Tumria reservoir. Nice and well organised trips. Cost another additional 8400 per vehicle. Breakfast packed and had at the picnic spot enroute. Lovely experiences. Would definitely like to go and stay here again. Thanks to the whole team for a wonderful stay.

Stayed in Jim's jungle for 2nts. Very well done retreat, spread out with a jungle feel to the resort look, gives a feel of jungle stay. Very warm welcome, easy check in. Cottage was good size, clean, it had a feel of old black and white movie times. So it comes with its problems.... bathroom door was a struggle to close, ceiling fan also had a small noise along with jungle, monekys made plenty noise on the tin (metal) roof of the cottage making it diffcult to rest in cottage during day time (resort has a dedicated person to shoo monkeys away), had to change 3 tea kettle before getting a working one. Besides these issues resort was great. Food was good, service was prompt. Dedicated naturalist of resort took us on walks n birding around retreat which was very informative. We went for two Jeep safaris to jhirna national park, was great fun. Only issue i have is that while waiting for some sighting naturalist would talk amongst each other loudly while telling others to keep quiet. Overall had a great time in Jim's jungle retreat due to good sighting i had in jungle, retreats concept of environmental friendly and saving carbon footprint is inspiring but retreat (20 years old now) needs upgradation now in few areas like cottage doors, roof and room facilities.

Visited this property with family from 23rd February '2022 for 2 Nights. Right from entering into the property in the midst of buffer zone a serene place. From continental lunch to beautifully curated dinner. Everything was excellent. The fresh air, fresh produce and the smiling faces was making it difficult for us to leave but we did so with a promise to return back. They even arranged 3 safaris for us. We loved the jungle but was unlucky not to spot a tiger but we heard their growling

I have been visiting JJR every year since 18 years, so, there was no doubt in my mind where I had to host a special lunch for my hubby's 50th birthday. We invited 15 friends from Delhi and they loved the property from the moment they entered. The special arrangements made for us were simply wow. The bar, the layout of the table, the service, the timing, the cake, the champagne, the attention to detail, I can just go on and on. A special thankyou to the GM, Mr Shyam, the F&B manager Mr Nazir, the chef and the complete staff. We can't stop talking about JJR

Such a refreshing and lovely time we had out here at Jim's Jungle Retreat. We had heard great things about the property already but its usual hard to exceed expectations that are already set very high. Jim's however manages to pull that off and some more. We were 2 couples with 7 & 11 month old infants venturing out with our new borns with many apprehensions for the first time for 3 nights here. But the staff led by the GM Mr Shyam and all the food arrangements by Mr. Najeef and his team were just fantastic and always helpful with every tiny (may even have been ridiculous) requests of ours. The chef had spun the most amazing meals. Every Lunch and Dinner was a treat for any foodie. The quality of the greens organically grown at the property was impeccable. The fruits served at breakfast were succulent and fresh. The non vegetarian dishes whether chicken, fish or mutton were just delicious which kept us wanting more. The experience of the walks around the property were also very cool since it borders the Dhela zone at Jim Corbett with lovely birding opportunities. The housekeeping folks were also super helpful and forthcoming. We had an issue with the heating in the room with the oil heater not functioning and an infant who needed the warm room given the extreme cold weather at Jim Corbett in December. The technicians were at it to get everything working perfectly so as to ensure our comfortable stay and they were more than successful with their efforts. Thanks again guys. The rooms/cottages are just beautiful and keeps the experience as real as can be for a visit to the wild. a lovely wrap around verandah and stepping into the room we had a sitting area, bedroom, dress area and a very eco friendly, true to nature fully equipped bathroom. We had enough room for our baby car nanny to sleep seperately within the room as well. Their service to our personal travelling staff was also very good and well looked after. All in all both our families and our babies had the most awesome time here with pleasing evenings in front of the bon fire. Wish we could have stayed on and longer. Our visit had an icing on the cake with a tiger sighting on our last safari into the Jhirna zone. :) Thanks for everything JJR. Look forward to trying to make this an annual...if not atleast a once in 2 year visit for sure.

Jims Jungle Retreat may not be the first hotel you see on Google, but its a must visit. We stayed here for New Year's eve and it was amazing. The property itself is lovely with cozy corners and well appointed rooms. We stayed in a 1 bedroom cottage that was comfortable for our family of 4. The naturalists on the property not just ensure amazing safaris but also organise nature walks and activities for kids like stone painting, nature learning sessions and even treasure hunts. Abhisek who is a naturalist was amazing - very knowledgeable and patient! The food is super yummy with the chef ensuring different cusines for each meal and a wonderful hi-tea on New yrs eve. The cafe (called Carpet Sahibs) is a wonderful space to relax and soak in nature. The little touches by the staff like individual gifts under the Christmas tree, dining on the machan and even giving us a packed lunch for our journey is so appreciated. We will definitely be back! PS - its a totally eco friendly retreat with no plastic on site. Check out the cute natural toothbrushes and soap dishes :)

We recently stayed at Jim’s Jungle Retreat for a second time and frankly we can’t wait to go back again. What was supposed to be a 3-day trip, ended up becoming a 5-day trip because we just didn’t want to leave! The resort is an idyllic jungle escape where every meal is to die for. Our favourite was the mushroom and spinach fried rice with sticky sesame fish and pavlovas for dessert. However the best part about Jim’s Jungle Retreat is the hospitality and warmth which is not only for us, but also extended to our pets who travel with us. We visited with our pet cats. And we were amazed to realise that they actually remembered our cat from the previous year! The cherry on the cake is obviously the safaris which are meticulously organised by the staff. We had the pleasure of going on three safaris with Mr. Jeevan Routela, wherein we spotted a plethora of flora and fauna, including 5 tigers! He is extremely knowledgeable and dedicated towards making each aspect of the safari as enjoyable as possible. Thank you team for the wonderful stay, we will definitely be coming back very soon 😊

Finally much awaited outing with Family after almost two years... straight into the laps of Nature at Jim Corbett, Ramnagar in the beautiful nest called Jim's Jungle Retreat ( from the family who owns Imperial Hotel, New Delhi)... True to the lyrics of the song sung by Pink," Cover me in sunshine,Shower me with good times" was our expectation from the trip and it was much more than just lovely sunshine...infact, the star studded sky and the brightest moon made the extended weekend trip more complete at Jim's Jungle Retreat-Really a treat... Jim's Jungle Retreat proved to be really amazing place to spend our long awaited vacations...Family cottage having separate rooms, big courtyard and having feel British era Bunglows, lot of sunshine around... Alfresco Dining with Nature...green cutlery perfectly matching with greenery around...amazing and delicious food options made from fresh produce from inhouse Organic Nursery ...Mocktails were refreshing like Sunshine in winters... hospitality was at its best ( Managed well by Mr. Shyam) and the Carpet Sahib's cafe has everything to make you relax in any hour of day with wonderful collections of Books...and a machan to admire beauty around...infact, it houses a separate well stocked library in other block too.. The main highlight of the stay was BONFIRE with a purpose in evening with Naturalist, Sh. Manoj Sharma who runs a documentary on wild life esp on Big cats...not only the kids, Arjun and Isha, but we both enjoyed the world of Tigers and their importance in Food chain...Having the Tikkas, enjoying the warmth of bonfire under open sky in dim lighted lantern admiring the nature and big cat made our evening more special... The inquisitiveness of Arjun and Isha about Big cats were very well answered by Sh.Manoj Sharma and Sh. Amith...and they made special efforts to engage with kids to make them comfortable... The dinner was prepared very well and served at Golghar, just adjacent to swimming pool...the setting was really to the occasion...Deepak was managing the whole food arrangement well... Another major highlight of the trip was our Ist Safari at Dhela zone to see the wild cat in its habitat... Naturalist, Amith accompanied us and really made us enjoyed the whole experience of forest, pug marks tracing, wild animals, flora and fauna, beautiful sunset....next morning with Mr Madan, we had another safari in chillest winter morning to Jhirna Zone and successfully could able to have glimpse of majestic tigers in their natural habitat from a distance.... Sunrise was so captivating that shutters of camera loved it fully... Special thanks to all at Jim's Jungle Retreat for making our vacations and photo gallery so beautiful....will definitely come again very soon to enjoy the hospitality...
