We attended our son's wedding at Doxford Barn in December 2016. The whole experience was absolutely superb. The ceremony was held in the atmospheric Threshing Room and the reception took place next door in the huge main room with an ante-room for drinks and a Snug area for those who wanted a sit down and a quiet chat. Everything went...

I attended a wedding here and the whole experience was wonderful. The cottages are beautiful and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. If you are looking for a stunning and unique setting, look no further than here. The food was excellent, the cottages are clean with everything you require, the scenery was picturesque and the...

We were attending a wedding at Doxford Barns - a truly wonderful location for weddings. Our accommodation for the event was West Cottage. We were slightly concerned by one recent review of this particular cottage but it was 100% - a lovely, charming, old cottage. Ample parking space off the road and when we arrived everything was ready and welcoming...

We attended a family wedding and took all the cottages. Lovely venue and they helped us because we arrived early and they were very accommodating. Cottages well laid out and with everything you need including fire wood. Small issue was only single beds and barely enough crockery. But we enjoyed it very much all being together as a family.

We recently attended a wedding in Doxford Barns and stayed in West Cottage for the weekend. The wedding venue itself was excellent - great venue, lovely food and friendly staff. Couldn't fault it. However, we were disappointed in the quality of our accommodation. Inside the cottage, the numerous ornaments, hangings, carpets and rugs everywhere just served to catch and maintain...

We have stayed here 3 years in a row now and have booked again for next year, it is a perfect location for our annual family get together and we book 3 large cottages. For us it is perfect, excellent location, cottages are well appointed, the ground offer some nice walks, especially around the lake area, a play area and...

My husband and I rented all of the cottages and the 2 pods for us with our family and friends to stay in for 2 nights as Doxford barns was our stunning wedding venue. Everyone loved it, the cottages are nicely decorated with mod cons without losing the rustic farm cottage feel. The sleeping and living areas are spacious and...

We stayed at northside cottage here as a family of five with three small children plus granny. The cottages are not luxuriously furnished but are sweet and an old fashioned cottage style and perfectly clean. The price was very reasonable for a week in August and I did not expect perfection. The back yard large stoned area is shared with...

We have just returned from a week staying at the Hayloft apartment. First impressions were good, and the bedroom and bathroom met our expectations, however a few tweaks could make the living and kitchen area of the apartment far more appealing. We reported a couple of issues with a dirty kettle and dining table. Which the owner dealt with promptly....

I booked the cottages for my husband's 40th, and so pleased I did. They were able to cater perfectly for all our friends and family. The family running this business were so hospitable and responsive. I'd highly recommend these cottages, as they were recommended to me by my Aunt.
