Early July: Our rooms were big, there was no aircon but in July a fan and a dip in the pool before bed was suffice. I couldn't stay there in any kind of real heat. The pool was good for dipping and sitting in it is not a big pool and once we asked Harry to scoop the leaves from the pool we were good to go. We did ask if they are gong to get more Kayaks Harry's looking into it, we will deffinitely go back if they get more Kayaks, 4 of us and two kayaks and they don't double up. It was just the ticket we needed, NO KIDS. As the teachers in our group were there for a break from Kids, so nice touch. The beds moved excessively when my partner moved, the whole whole bed moved, it could be easily remedied if they really wanted to, and it would make a world of difference. I loved Rarotonga and we will go back. …

Totally awesome place to stay. Good location, everything you need. The owners were really kind and good to chat to. They gave us some good recommendations of things to do. We took the kayaks out. Thanks for having us!

We stayed at Muri beach hideaway for 5 nights and absolutely loved our stay. We had unit 2 which was the one right in front on the pool and In my opinion the best one because of having the pool at our doorstep and also still directly looking out to the lagoon. The bungalow its self was super spacious, little kitchenette with everything you need, nice clean bathroom, very comfortable super king bed. The location was absolutely perfect!! A couple of mins walk to the Muri night markets, just down the beach from the launch spot for koka and captain tamas lagoon tours and a couple of mins to loads of resorts and restaurants. Super peaceful, kid free ,quiet and relaxing. Free use of kayaks, reef shoes and snorkel gear. Waking up and opening the shutters to see the beautiful sunrise and being only a few footsteps away from the beach was incredible. 100% recommend …

This is a story about lack of attention to detail. We booked the closest room to the beach. Upon arrival, we discovered there was no curtains or any other way to make the room private. As we were staying for 2 weeks, we wanted some privacy. Management told us that the shutters had been eaten out by borer during the lock down and they had not bothered, or could not, replace them. We informed them that if we had known about this, we would not have booked the accommodation. So I asked for a sheet and a battery drill and put up the sheet to give us privacy. The shower was not cleaned for the first 10 days of our stay and started to become more black than white with our dirty feet. I also noticed that the permanent wiring for the unit was just lying on the ground under the unit and would get blown around in the wind. There is a very good reason that wiring is made secure in a building. If it can move around, it becomes a way that a building can burn down when the insecure wiring breaks and causes a fire. I regarded the risk as low, so I did not mention it to my wife who would have worried. The smoke alarm had been removed at some point, I know this because the base was still screwed above the entrance to the kitchen. The curtains facing out to the pool, were torn and looked tatty. The location of the property was great, and the grounds were well kept. Management did come to us and apologize for the lack of a curtain and we insisted they tell future guests. In hospitality, attention to detail is what makes one property stand out over another. Muri Beach Hideaway needs more attention to detail and an upgrade. Some paint for the inside would not be a bad start.…

This resort is competely misrepresented as luxury type accommodation. when you book, you are directed to the home page, and then to the booking page. Neither of these pages state that it has ceiling fans only, and no air conditioning. Even when you click on Room Facilities. I would have thought that this was a prerequisite for a " luxury resort " in such a hot place as the Cook Islands, with an average temperature of around 30 degrees. There is also no wifi in the rooms, as you have to go out of the room to the nearest hot spot to get wifi reception. Another disappointing aspect is that the drop off area does not have any cover from the rain, and is often raining in the islands. We got drenched on the walk to our bungalow. We therefore cancelled our booking and moved in to another resort, with all these extras for the same price. The owners refused to refund any portion of the 3 night's accommodation cost that we paid, as we advised that it was totally misrepresented.…

Was a lovely place to stay in. Quite large and modern, though a fly screen on the door and curtains would be great as got hot at night. Pool was nice to swim in at night or if the lagoon was a bit rough. Friendly dogs came to join us also on the deck. Handy to nearby food locations and Muri night markets.

TA should have a "Good" option as this is better than average. We arrived a day late due to a tropical storm delaying our arrival out of Atiutaki. We struggled to find the entrance as it was raining and the entrance is hard to see. We'd been sent an email with these instructions but it was sent to our home address after we'd left NZ. We arrived on a Saturday at 12:20 and didn't realize the office closed at midday. Our Hosts thought our flight had been cancelled and we weren't coming. Luckily I banged on the door and we were heard. Our bungalow was right on the beach which would be amazing if the weather wasn't so bad. We should have asked for a more sheltered bungalow. The Bungalow was spotlessly clean and roomy. Weirdly we didn't have curtains on the slider doors. There's a little pool close to the beach entrance which looked freshly renovated. …

All the bungalows are exactly the same, they are priced differently based on their proximity to the beach. The bungalows are very generous in size with super king bed. Young couple who were operating the bungalows are friendly and helpful. They had a great range of gear, free to borrow, such as kayaks and snorkeling gear.

Spent a week at this chalet and it is very close to all the amenities you could want, food, shops, attractions, rentals. Irene & her staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. It is clean, my chalet was to the rear so I had no view of the ocean, but it is less than 50 yards to the beach. the only shortcoming was the lack of air-con, which in the current humidity was needed.

We stayed a week in this bungalow style accomodation which is exceptionally well located close to local eateries, attractions, hire places etc. it has a homey feel and whilst not shiny new is very much in keeping with the island atmosphere. You can self cater. Also a delightful friendly hostess. Recommended
