we stayed at this quaint homestay for a night for a mountain view at fujikawaguchiko. The owner, an elderly gentleman fetched us at the train station. He was very friendly and helpful despite the language barrier. We stayed in a room upstairs. There are lavatories and small kitchen provided on the floor but bathroom is only available downstairs and it...

Clean basic tatami rooms. The owner Hiroshi-san picked us up from the station and brought us to the busses bound for the mountain. Very helpfull and hospital. This is a traditional homestay ryokan, with a fridge in the common area. Hiroshi lives in the house also. We would recommend this guesthouse when climbing mt Fuji

Booked one night here in July before our Mount Fuji hike, and really enjoyed it. As traditional as it gets, essentially! There's plenty of spots to eat and bathe nearby (you get a discount ticket to local onsens, but we unfortunately had no time), and the hostel itself is very comfortable. When our Fuji hike was set to begin, the...

Nice minshuko about 20 minutes walk from station. Japanese style rooms clean with shared toilets and Japanese bathroom. The owner is very nice and extremely helpful. The room is 4000 JPY per person. The house is about 5 minutes walk from the red and green line sightseeing bus and plenty of restaurants, supermarket and convenience stores. I totally recommend this...

We had a good time at this riyokan. The rooms were clean and fresh and the owners were extremely nice. He picked us up from the station and dropped us off, also before and after climbing Mt fuji. This meant he drove us at 6.20 in the morning! The showers and toilets are not very great. There is 1 shower...

This ryokan is amazing - but hard to find!! When we arrived at the train station we showed lots of locals the print out with Japanese directions but no one seemed to know where it was! We wandered around for about an hour until someone knew where it was. The owner is super helpful and lovely and made us feel...

This ryokan experience was wonderful and i would recommend to anyone. It is really clean, quiet, views of mt fuji from the front, views of surrounding mountains from the kitchen. You are free to use the kitchen facilities and there is free internet as well and 3 beautiful kimonos if you want to dress up. The owner presented us with...
