You can't see Mount Fuji from the room. Onsen is quite crowded (very noisy) and you need to bring along own towel from room. Dinner was decent but kids meal doesn't suits all children who don't like cold fried food. You could ask for more rice if you hadn't get enough to fill your stomach. Service was quite fast, cause...

Ryokan rooms. Suitable for families with kids. The meals provided are shabu shabu, sukiyaki or kaiseki beef set. Both breakfast and dinner meals are extensive. Very nice meals. Hotel staff are friendly but speaks minimal english. The mattresses willbe laod out for you when you have your dinner. There is a Lawson convenience store next door. I had so much concern before checking in to this hotel, especially for its negative comments earlier and possibly haunted experience near this area. I could totally wipe all the concerns away since this is a nice place to stay. First, the receptionists can communicate with basic English, you need to fill out a form to indicate the breakfast and...

Very good location right in front of Lake Kawaguchi. Friendly service staffs. Great meals being served. Room size is quite ok. There's also a small gift shop. However the little disappointment was the hot spring. One side for the gents and the other for the ladies. The one directly in front of the lift was of decent indoor hotspring pool...

We decided to book at Yamagishi after reading all of the excellent reviews, and calling to make sure the level of English was good, as our Japanese is not. It seems the ryokan has a few employees that can speak English. We opted for a Japanese-style room (highly recommended) and requested a 'lake view', as reviews suggested we do. Upon...

Firstly, the location of Yamagishi Ryokan was right smack beside Lake Kawaguchiko and Lawson was right next to the ryokan (not that you'll need to venture to Lawson since the Ryokan's full board meals were excellent). Upon reaching Kawaguchiko station, head to the tourist information centre and let the staff know that you have a booking with Yamagishi Ryokan. It's...

1. The view from hotel is a wonderful lake view, that let your hair down. 2. Convenient location to take a cable car and rent a boat nearby the hotel. 3. The breakfast is japanese style, it made me satisfied.

We stayed at this roykan while visiting Mt. Fuji. The location is really good, as it is situated right on the lake. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were nice, and equipped with all the amenities of a hotel.

When you arrive at kawaguchiko station, you can call the ryokan to arrange a shuttle service to pick you up from the station. I am truly glad we did as the walk from the station to the ryokan seems quite far. Most staff were not very fluent in English but are very friendly and helpful. One of the staff who...

Had a really nice time staying at this hotel. It is located about 8-10 minutes' walk from Kawaguchiko station. We both chose to walk to the hotel with our large suitcases and it was fine. Not challenging at all. The hotel faces the lake and the convenience store Lawson is literally just round the corner. It is a traditional style...
