Pro: very friendly staffs who are always smiling. Location walking distance from ferry terminal. Theres a karaoke and pool (sgd $1/game) at level 7. Cons: poor english. Drainage in toilet slow so expect flooding of bathroom. Grey bedsheets and towels with weird smell but seems like the smell is common throughout batam and balai. Breakfast soso. SErvice staff is TOP notch. Very helpful when it came to clarifying my room type. A few metres out of the hotel are eateries and a seafood restaurant. Junior suite was big and clean. A little dated hotel but coming from a fastidious person like me, I find it reasonable for the price that I paid.

The check in process is too late that I have to wait more than 3 hours!!Suppose to get standard room as my other family members stay at deluxe room but finally I get Suite Room instead!! I got free upgrade.. I'm shocked as I thought I enter wrong room though. It's really luxury and spacious for me to stay ALONE...

Really enjoyed my short stay here and will not hesitate to come back. At the time of visit the hotel was undergoing some refurbishment such as new lighting fixtures, door locks etc.Room rate is reasonable and facilities are satisfactory. Good breakfast with a few new menu changed daily. Another plus offered during the stay was the 'Buy 2 free 1'...

Just finished my second stay here. Had wrote a negative review after my first stay one year ago. However, I had no choice but checking in this hotel again due to lack of alternatives in Balai. After one year, there were still flies and karaoke noises in the hotel; staff still spoke very poor English; breakfast was still unsatisfying; bad...

Wasn't too sure of which hotel to stay, so decided to give Hotel Maximillian a shot. It's about 10mins walking distance from the hotel, and as the only tall 7-storey building on the street, it's pretty distinctive and serves as a landmark for getting around. Spent one night in the Deluxe Room, and it's large, spacious and clean. All plus...

Had a suite for one night. Fairly pricey (S$89) considering the overall vibe of the hotel was like a chalet. However, the room was big, easily accommodating a whole sitting area. My main requirement was that the room would be clean, and that, it certainly was, particularly the toilet and the bed. Amenities were basic, but good to have at...
