A little piece of paradise in Goa. We had a gorgeous cottage with a small garden surrounded by tropical foliage with a view of the sea.
We have stayed at many hotels in Goa, including the Leela (now St Regis) the Taj Exotica, ITC, Hyatt etc. but the grounds here are exceptionally beautiful.
Absolutely spotless, room service was amazing particularly in the evening where there was always a lovely bed message, foot bowl or small gift and often times a delicious cake was left for us. There was always a buggy available to go anywhere in the resort.
The adults pool was quiet and breezy with a view of the sea, Sadee was on hand to help at the pool, always with a smile and very gracious.
Other members of staff Derek, Avirupe, Mahika, Trupti, Anikta were all delightful and very helpful.
Facilities of the adjacent Taj Aguda can be used including the pool and restaurants and transport is readily available.
The Banyan Tree restaurant is at the doorstep of the hotel and serves delicious food.
A word of constructive criticism:
The Caravela Restaurant is one of the nicest locations on the sea anywhere in the world. However the decor desperately needs updating on the terrace to make it more enticing to guests and give a 5 star feel.
Also the toilets opposite the Caravela are in desperate need of renovation.
The General Manager did tell us there is a process of refurbishment from March.
The location of this hotel and its grounds are world class and we would definitely return.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Taj Holiday Village Resort & Spa Goa this October for 6 nights. I was traveling with my mother and maternal uncle and we were there to celebrate my uncle's birthday. I am thrilled to say that our vacation was spectacular and we created memories of a lifetime, all thanks to the exceptional warmth and hospitality of the Taj staff. Taj Holiday Village Resort & Spa Goa is ideally located to enjoy the best of the vibrance of North Goa while maintaining a serenity conducive to introspection & quiet reflection. With private access to the beach and within 2 minutes driving, or 5 minutes walking, distance from Taj Fort Aguada, these twin properties offer the perfect getaway for a family vacation. As one enters the Taj Holiday Village, one is greeted with immaculate & sprawling grounds with towering banyan & coconut trees gently swaying in the breeze. As the Goan band begins to serenade the guests at the main reception, the soothing notes of guitar & ukulele cast such a spell that all worries are left far behind. However, the greatest asset for the property are the wonderful staff who can be seen quietly & efficiently catering to the personalised needs of each and every guest. From the security staff to the front desk, from the house keeping to the restaurant staff, everyone greets you with a warm smile and a willingness to help which is truly unique to Taj. There are three individuals who deserve my deepest gratitude for truly going above and beyond in making our stay special. Manthan from the managerial team is a gem of a human being. His keen attention to detail and the warm heartfelt gestures towards his guests are a true credit to the legendary hospitality of the Taj group. He leads by example and is admirably assisted by a wonderful team, notably by Maitreyee. Of all the wonderful birthday surprises, the most touching was a hand crafted & decorated photo collage of our trip. When interrogated about who had crafted it, she smiled and insisted that it was a team effort. This speaks volumes about her own personal integrity and the close knit work culture of the Taj team. A most special thanks is also due to Tausif from the house keeping team. His genuine smile is accompanied by a subtle artistic flair which made all our 3 rooms a joy to return to each evening. His considerate flower arrangements and thoughtful turn down service ensured that there was no monotony and there was something new to make one smile every evening. A heartfelt thank you to Manthan, Maitreyee, Tausif and the entire team at Taj Holiday Village Resort & Spa Goa, for making our vacation truly special. The brand of Taj used to be the Gold Standard for service in the hospitality industry when Mr. Ratan Tata was in control of his businesses. Today the service at Taj has hit the ground. I say this from my personal experience over several years. Taj sells the Epicure Card membership for almost 40K now but they make it almost impossible to use the Epicure Vouchers. I wanted to use my Epicure upgrade Voucher & emailed Taj several weeks before my arrival. I was informed to simply inform Front Desk during check-in. During check-in I was told that higher category room was available for the 2nd & 3rd day of my stay but they could only confirm the upgrade the next day. No one reverted & upon checking with FD I got excuses about no availability. I asked to talk to the GM but the lady informed me that she herself was the Manager. Clearly she lied because the GM is Gaurav Miglani. We stayed three nights & we wanted to have Dinner at Paper Moon on 2nd day & at Banyan Tree on the 3rd day. Both these restaurants were closed for private parties when we went there. Why do we pay these high prices to stay at Taj if we can’t even dine at their speciality Restaurant or use the Vouchers. Everything at Taj seemed to revolve around getting in more revenues & they have forgotten about the one quality that used to define this brand which is ‘guest experience’ which helped create their brand in the 1st place. The Luxury room we were allotted had spider webs on its ceiling & the bathrooms had mould in the corners. Housekeeping clearly did not change sheets or pillow cases during our entire stay since a dirt mark I saw on one of the pillowcase was there throughout our stay.

We visited last year and the hotel was pretty, now the hotel has deteriorated beyond recognition.
No way no how could this hotel be called five star!
Everywhere is dirty. The bedroom floor, the tiny tiny bathroom inside old and tired. The duvet, cushions , sheets all greying and breaking down inside. Yuch!
Despite asking several times, outdoor chair covers were never cleaned, they were filthy beyond and stained.
Chairs around the adult pool dirty.
Adult pool food comes from outside hotel and is vile.
The Caravela terrace has faded flags, broken down tatty furniture.
They allow adults and children to come down in their pyjamas. Just disgusting.
Only single toaster, it does one side at a time and very slow. I almost bought them one!
Area behind toaster, bare wood and looked very dirty.
We only got night room service twice. The room cleaning not good, they did not clean around kettle area.
No point trying to flog this hotel as five star with this level of cleanliness and service.
Go to another hotel!

Unfortunately, I happened to encounter several issues during my visit from 25th April to 28th April at Taj Holiday Village, Goa. Firstly, upon checking into my room, I found that the cleanliness standards were not up to par. The ceiling fan & Jacuzzi in particular were not properly cleaned, which was disappointing given the high standards I expected from a property of Taj's reputation. I contacted the duty manager, and subsequently, the housekeeping supervisor acknowledged the oversight, but this lapse affected my initial impression of the room.
Additionally, I had a distressing experience at your restaurant. The restaurant team recommended the prawn peri peri & Butter chicken for lunch without informing me of potential allergens. Regrettably, I suffered an allergic reaction after consuming the dishes, which I feel were not fresh & hygienic, resulting in severe rashes and vomiting. This incident significantly impacted my ability to enjoy the remainder of my stay.
They should enhance training for staff members to ensure that guests are properly informed about menu items and potential allergens. Furthermore, reinforcing thorough cleanliness protocols in guest rooms, especially for simple amenities like the ceiling fan & Jacuzzi, would greatly enhance the overall guest experience.

The name says it all .Aamzing property with breathtaking views . We stayed in a beach facing villa and the room was quite spacious with a backyard facing the sea . The all day dining restaurant caravella offers multicusines with a seating experience next to the sea . We travelled with a toddler and the staff was very friendly and supportive of our requirements . They have a Thai restaurant - The Banyan tree lead by a Thai Chef .They served authentic delicious Thai food. We stayed for 4 days .The best part is if you are bored with the food in Taj holiday , you can have food at Tak fort agora which is just next to it including the complimentary breakfast . Their brewery 7 rivers is also great and right within the property .So you get all the experience right inside the property at the comfort of being close to your room.Must visit property

We had been there for a family holiday with our daughters, and booked two rooms. Wonderful property, green, serene, beautiful, nice & very scenic beachfront.... excellent location. All talked about restaurants of North Goa are within short motorable distance. Two nice pools. Choice to avail facilities between Taj Holiday Village & Taj Fort Aguada hotels is a double bonus. Breakfast at Taj Fort Aguada was superb. Staff was very cooperative. Housekeeping staff was promt & helpful, special shout-out to Rahul who was always there within a few seconds to attend our request. Memorable family holiday, This was not our first time at this hotel, and is neither going to be our last. Will be here again, and again.... never tired of this property & location.

This was our second visit to this property this year and i have no doubts in saying this this was a trip which will be cherished for all times. Wonderful experience, it was ! Nice reception, with a cooler drink and a garland, at the entrance. We were checked in soon enough and after a wait of hardly 10-15 min were taken to the room. Manasi at the front office was real helpful and the villa near the sea was just fabulous. Thanks to her, for the views that we had from the villa. It was rainy weather, at times, and that really amplified the experience. Less people on the beach and no shacks. Coud'nt have been been more peaceful and serene. And, this time, while we had the customary first breakfast at Kokum, yet, the next day at Caravela made us change our mind, and from then on, it was caravela only. The food and ambience, both swayed us completely. The pesonal attention given by Chef's Savio Fernandes and Chef Rakesh was appreciable. Had a small chit-chat with Savio and he is definitely a wonderful person and a good chef. We were compeletely rejuvenated, after the short stay of 4 nights and hope to be back soon. Saloni and Maithan from front office were both polite and helpful, as were the other housekeeping staff and the gardeners n servers in the restaurants.

They are purely focused on group tours only. Stayed there for 3 nights it was a nightmare experience. No fruit basket in the room, for breakfast they asked you to wait and thereafter they allot you a table after waiting, and after few minutes you will find that some chef relative is alloted this table and i am again asked to wait with eating plate in my hand. Before arrival i got 2 email about expected arrival time, i specified them around 1:30. Reached there at 2:30, they put me on wait for 1 hour. (Asked me to do lunch and they wont charge for lunch, wtf). What is the use of being a gold / platinum member of IHCL if you cant upgrade the rooms even if they are vacant. During check out met with another guest adjacent to my room, he was also complaining the same. Duty manager is has nothing to do, her only task is to give some discount on bill to satisfy customers. Discounts or free lunch cannot lure everyone. Taj exotica and taj auguada is far better in customer satisfaction.. my check in invoice also changed to 26-28 instead of 25-28, duty manage said she with take care of neu points as it is due to software changes(again a bluff), as neu points got credited for only 26-28 instead of 25-28 sept. I told her that i will write whole review when i will receive a feedback mail from IHCL, and guess what for this stay I didnt received any feed back form as well.
Lots and lots of complains. Guys i will recommend you to visit Taj Exotica (south goa) or either Taj Auguada fort if you want to stay in north goa. The focus of this hotel is purely on group tours.

I loved the Chonak Fish Fillet & King Fish fried in Rawa Masala. So cheeeeep & Sooo delicious
Please check the booking confirmation you must have received from bookingcom. Check if includes the kids. Taj would not go back on the terms of a booking.

More than the size, the location of the room matters when u select a superior or a luxury room
Yes luxury is slightly bigger than the superior but the luxury one is more closer to the beach . The view is better for the luxury ones, mostly from the luxury ones you can also have a view of the beach.
