We were part of a small group tour of Turkey who have been coming to this hotel for many years. Unfortunately we only had 2 nights at this amazing hotel but the memory will live on. We had a cosy little room on three levels with separate bedroom, bathroom & sitting room. We actually felt like we were in a...

Was thrilled by the beauty of Cappadocia and so happy that we stayed at this amazing cave hotel "hidewaway" at Ayvali. Great and peaceful location at a tiny countryside village, but still in the center of all sights (12 kms from Urgup). Stayed 3 days at a unique suite, with lots of history, space and style. Never slept in such...

Gamirasu was an extraordinarily special experience from the moment we arrived and were welcomed by the staff and provided the opportunity to sit together and discuss a plan for our visit. The plans was magnificence as was the execution and every part of the Gamirasu experieince: the rooms, the staff, the food, the service – everything was exceptional! Ayvali is...

Gamirasu is a charming hotel located in Cappadocia providing a great cave experience. The rooms are a bit tight, but they more than make up for it by their efficient and friendly service. The chefs too are amazing and produce perhaps the best fresh bread that you can get anywhere in Turkey!

Staying at the Gamirasu Cave Hotel was one of the highlights of our trip to Turkey. Tucked into a series of caves which were originally a monastery, the hotel captures the unique feeling of these cave houses and churches (and in fact there is a small 12th century church at the top level of the hotel). The room we had...

We stayed here as part of a package cappadocia tour and loved it! The hotel is quite unique constructed on the site of a former monastery but what makes it truly outstanding is the warmth of the staff. The food was great and the rooms are very clean. My favorite spot in the entire place was the swinging chairs on...

This was a great hotel. We stayed in a cave suite, which was basically three rooms with five beds all connected togther. We were in a cave, but the rooms were not dark or damp but quite bright and light. The food was excellent. We had both dinner and breakfast. Stayed two nights.

Gamirasu is one of the best places to stay in Capadoccia. Very helpful team who manage the place, and take care of all your needs. Food is simply superb since most of it is grown by them. So it is natural and all homemade (or selfmade, to put it in a better way). The place is in a quaint village...

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear that you have enjoyed your stay at Gamirasu. I am sorry to hear that you felt our hotel is far from "the center". As you have already been in the area, you have probably seen that Cappadocia is a large region with several "centers", one of them is...

Gamirasu is a beautifully-done up cave-hotel in Urgup Village, Cappadocia, Turkey. This was our first stop on our 2 week Turkey and Greece tour. Gamirasu is the name of an exquisitely restored 35 rooms troglodyte cave house opened in 1998, in Ayvali Village near Urgup in the heart of Cappadocia, Turkey. The hotel is located in a restored thousand-year-old Byzantine monastic retreat which offers modern conveniences without distracting from the spiritual feeling of the area which has been known to be inhabited for more than five thousand years. The finish is stylish and the atmosphere inviting and romantic. Indeed, it is the perfect honeymoon destination, with many couples choosing the intimate cave suites for access to some of the most breathtaking and unforgettable scenery in the world. The sense of tranquility and authentic village atmosphere around the Gamirasu is instantly soothing, with nothing to disturb you but the sound of birds and sumptuous aromas drifting across the warm air from the old Monastic kitchen. Breakfast consists of all local and organically grown produce, including freshly baked bread, clotted cream, honeycomb and fresh fruit. A 7km hiking trail departs from the front door of the hotel and follows a remote valley with a beautiful brook flowing down the middle.
