It’s a totally overpriced place with absolutely average room and under average breakfast options.
I don’t understand this high price because it’s totally not worth for it.
It’s not enough modern.
The only positive feeling was in connection with the staff.

The price is staggeringly inexpensive by U.S. standards but the quality is superior. The room I had was average size, quite pretty and details were of a high standard . There is also a superior traditional Hungarian restaurant , and a whirlpool and sauna. A lovely sleek modern hotel in a 19th century setting.

The hotel is nice you can see two different faces.
One from Main Street “old “ and second from background “new “ . Interior and design are perfect.
Rooms were clean and good designed .
I had a dinner and I enjoyed very good red wine from local grapes.
Good location I recommend to for business stay

Stayed here for a wedding which was taking place at vineyard a short distance away.. All i can say is faultless.. From the rooms(very clean) and well presented, to the restaurant, quality of the food was of a very high standard! The local village is a short walk away.. Well worth a visit! A special thank you goes to Zoltan working tirelessly on reception. He made our visit special, from the time we arrived, until we checked out.
If you are ever in this beautiful region, i can highly recommend this hotel, and it should be at the top of your list!!

Very kind and professional reception. Hotel is in a modern style. Carpets need cleaning. Small beds with soft mattress. Feather pillows were not available but rather stiff hollofill fillings. Had a tough night. Found no international TV channels. Breakfast was a minimum in a large empty hall. Not sure where the four stars come from. Three would be rather ok. Ranking would be 2.5 if available.

We stayed here for two days visiting family. Overall great hotel, large room so we decided to have our "babysitter in charge" my mom stay with us. The bill kicked the 30K HUFper night range which was pretty steep for Szekszard. I dined once at the restaurant which was very nice. The fois gras was amazing! Also the Meszaros wines are great!
Some of the guests are business people with extended stay so you can ran into these bored Germans once in a while but other than that it is a nice place to stay.
My only problem was with the carpeting. It needs deep steam cleaning. We could see some stains on the floor which was a bit discouraging.

Nice Hotel with friendly staff. Parking available - inhouse restaurant with nice wines and good menus- one side facing main road - means noisy, so please ask for rooms facing the other side.
Breakfast max. Standard and not matching to ****. Poor buffet with small choice. Rooms are new renovated- would be perfect if ....

+ good location
+ free parking
+ free wi-fi
+ nice big rooms
+ very nice staff
+ reasonable prices

- breakfast was mediocre at best
- considering that this place is owned by a winemaker, the wines were way too overpriced (compared, in a shopping center you can buy them around 10-15% per bottle less)

We stayed in a superior room for one night. The difference btw a standard and de luxe room is only the size (20-22sqm vs 30sqm). The enterior is pretty new and modern, it is good to see how much it counts if a hotel is fully renowated or newly built. We had wine tasting and dinner in the evening. The wines are okay, below the Szekszárd quality vineries (Takler, Eszterbauer, Vesztergombi, Dúzsi, etc.) but not bad at all. Cabernet Franc Reserve was a very good selection, full body, typical, gentle CF taste. Food resulted in mixed experience: my pate was great, the wild boar was fat and hard to eat. The service overall was good, the weird experience was the bit drunken waiter, Peter. he was funny and polite but pushy too. The breakfast is the only downside of the hotel. The estate fully deserves a 4-star ranking or even more but the breakfast was way below average. No selection, low quality of food and beverages, no real coffee.
