Room size is small, over priced, food is average, if you take food in your hotel room, then you have to 10% extra on total restaurant charge. Lots of sound from side building.so you cant sleep in your hotel room.

We recently stayed at Shantiniketan Lodge/Hotel, Manager's behavior at reception was good since we booked rooms online so never got a chance to have an actual view beforehand, but rooms are slightly overpriced considering the distance from new digha sea beach and there was no provision for direct sunlight entry in rooms making it little damp. The only negative experience was the cleaning staff who knocked on the door at night time on both days when we fell asleep. This was simply unwanted. Also to mention they should have an uninterrupted water supply which was not there during our bath time . The picture provided during online booking clearly had two bath towels on the bed which were not there during our check-in and we had to ask them to provide which they provided later on unwillingly citing the reason that this is not in their room policy. Then why you are misleading customers with an exaggerated picture?

1. All are fine. I just fallen in love ❤️ with Hotel Santiniketan. I will go there again. Room service are nice and Room service boys behaviour is also good 👍. I will prefer first floor aka deluxe room and second floor aka triple deluxe room for good ventilation and healthy breathing.
2. Safety is great in this hotel. Inside the room you may face network problem. They have many Wifi router facilities. You can connect with any one of them and take internet facility and wifi calling.
3. Hotel is near from Digha Sea beach. You can reach in 8 minutes by walking. At this price range Hotel Santiniketan is good.
4. Foods and drinks in this hotel is very good 👍. I am very much satisfied with their food. Nicely cooked and tasty also. You can trust on their food for health security.
5. Rooms are nicely decorated but ground floor rooms have one small window and ventilation system is not healthy if AC shut down. People who have asthma or any breathing issues they may avoid staying in ground floor rooms with NON-AC situation. Ground floor rooms are cheaper so if you have low budget then you can book ground floor rooms. 👍

The hotel room & bath was neat and clean. The food served was excellent. The staff were very helpful and decent. The property was 10 mins walking distance from beach and overall location was ideal. Would love to stay again in my next visit. Strongly recommend for a budget stay.

Rooms were good enough for a budget accommodation! We were a group of 7 and everyone enjoyed our stay there!
Location is good. (5min walking distance from new digha sea beach). 4 out of 5
Foods were tasty except for one day, when we didn’t liked the food. Value for money.3.5 out of 5
Rooms were neat and cozy. 4 out of 5.
Hospitality of the hotel staff was warm enough to make us feel at home. Staff behaviour 4 out of 5
Overall, if you are looking for a value for money budget accommodation at New Digha , this would be the one I would recommend.

A very affordable price with very clean room. The food is cheap and excellent. The staff behaviour is also very good. The hotel is near railway station, new digha sea beach and the new digha bus stand. We booked an non-ac suite for five people and we are impressed by the hospitality. We look forward to stay in this hotel everytime we visit Digha.

They are not helpful anyway . The photos was not at par as the real room and website description(Goibibo). They took 200 rupees extra penny from us to give us website described room.
The manager was not at all cooperative.
It was clearly mentioned in our booking details that breakfast was free and complimentary. But they were not ready to accept that. After lot of hassles and arguments they accepted the terms. We have to tell them and show them many things such as booking details. Our trip started with that bad experience. That's all. We don't want to describe more . We booked another hotel after that day with our own and it was a fabulous experience.

Nice rooms and excellent sevices. Room rent was nominal compared to other hotels nearby. Sea beach was little far about a kilometre but we were happy with that as the road to the beach was good for a walk with beautiful scenic view.

Good hotel with in house restaurant NAVARATNA , basic amenities all available. But room services need to get improved. Towels were not available while we stayed there, but thanks to team as they provided nonspicy foods as requested for our old and kid family members.

My name is Mridul Kanti Saha. My booking was for 29th Feb '2020' to 01st March '2020'. Room Number was 301 (Non-AC). The room was well lighted, cleaned and well decorated. They have their own food junction which called Navaratna Multicuisine Restaurant. The food was so yummy & delicious. They love to maintain good hygiene in terms of top quality rooms and food. Hotel manager Mr. Apurba Jana had set up the best services for us. And all the other staff were really professional and very well mannered. I would love to visit Hotel Santiniketan again and again. It is the best quality hotel in New Digha. Thanks again for letting us stay in your hotel.

The nearest beach is New Digha Sea Beach. Its is roughly 700 - 800 meters from the hotel. It takes around 6-7 minutes by walking. You can also avail toto/van from hotel gates. Hope this helps.
