I have booked room number 288 (VIP). View from the room is mind blowing. But dirty smell is coming all the time in the room's balcony, unable to stay even for a short period of time. Food is homely. The main lobby and reception area needs to be cleaned to welcome guests (look is very shabby). Staffs are well mannered and helpful, but giving tips is an issue. Everybody asks for tips, which needs to be stopped by hotel management. Hot water facility is available from 6 AM to 3 PM only (Strange rule set by hotel management). Overall cost of foods and room rent are too expensive compared to the service provided.

Why Sea Hawk? The answer is simple. The sea waves are just 100ft away. One of the oldest hotels in Digha and located at a prime serene location at Old Digha. Bar and restaurant facilities available. You'll all get a charm of nice old English holidays. Ask for Room 220, 221 or 222.

Cons: washroom entrance is too narrow for wheelchair, no disabled friendly rooms although elevator is available. No wifi connection available.

Conclusion: Overpriced. Unless they provide the wifi and disabled friendly services, Rs 3500/- is too much.

I visited on 6.6.23 A beautiful big hotel in the prime location of the beautifully renovated old Digha beach. The back gate of the property opens up in the beach and this is the old hotel in old Digha which opens up on the beach walkway. Our room rate was Rs3940.00 with a balcony from which we could see the sea . The room was very big , good AC , comfortable bed and good food but the only drawback were the people who would keep asking for Tip after each work they did. This was a real irritation for me. I always give a consolidated tip on the day I check out but due to this behaviour I just gave one guy who dropped us in our room and then I found that this was we have to face each time so I decided not to pay any tip while I was checking out. I was so irritated with this behaviour that I didn’t even feel like asking them to clean our washroom that was stinking and water dripping always. Request management to train the staff otherwise it will hamper the reputation of such a wonderful property

We three (me, my wife and daughter) checked in the hotel on 30th September and stayed for two nights. Earlier I have stayed in this hotel for number of times since 1993. The hotel being iconic one at old Digha was always best in my choice, but this time what I have seen is beyond my imagination. Nobody is bothered about cleanliness of the room / balcony. They did not sanitize the room in our presence. While asked they answered that it had already been done earlier. They ,of course, made an arrangement of manual spraying of sanitizing liquid on the pathway of entrance gate. Thank God we were having our own handy sanitizer spray gun with us and did it as far as possible before using furniture and other things. Staffs are not cooperative. Attached restaurant is not clean enough. I have to really think for my future visit in this hotel.

A below average, untidy hotel with no lobby, no WiFi, no toiletries and having a shabby Reception at Old Digha but charging inappropriately high room rates. The hotel has a dirty entrance, a street-side parking, an unkempt garden with a broken swing and an awful service with pestering tip-seekers everywhere. Food is average. Although close to the beach, the Sea-facing rooms get no clear view of the sea due to a row of trees that obstruct the front view. No online booking allowed either. One can get scores of much better and clean hotels at both Old Digha and New Digha at half the price.

We stayed for 2 nights on 4th and 5th of march 21. Although Room size was decent but linen wasprovided with torn and dirty linen. Walls laded with fungus and cobwebs. Stains all around in the toilet.
Worst experience of staff hooliganism. They knocked at our door at 11 pm at night for Tips as he didnt have shift the next day. They will ask for Tip for any kind of routine service , even for the routine house keeping services.

It is a worst possible experience while staying in a hotel with premium room rent. We stayed in the hotel for four nights in July 2024.
First there is no dedicated vehicle parking space though they claim that there is car parking space in their website. It is actually the pavement for general use of the public.
Secondly, There is no facility of running hot water in the wash room or toilet though the website claims that there is availability of the same. I did not get the facility during my long stay in any time of the day or night.
Third, the hotel rooms are not provided with any hot water kettle for making tea or coffee and they do not provide any tea/coffee sachet in the room. Even if you order for tea from the room service or restaurant, the quality is so bad that it is impossible to drink. But you do not have any other option. They do not provide any packaged drinking water in the room. You will have to buy it yourself.
The quality of food served in the restaurant are of very low quality and standards. There is no variety available. Though the management claims that the rooms are sea facing but in reality those are not the same. The rooms are having only an angular view of the sea.
While making payment the management only forwards a pdf copy of the money receipt through WhatsApp only. No original is provided even on reaching the hotel.
All the Hotel staff are greedy and only after tips. Openly and repeatedly asking for tips. This means that they are ill paid.

Will never recommend anyone to book this hotel unless the rooms are clearky shown. Really very very disappointed with the management of this hotel. I booked this hotel for my parents and paid in full on a Friday and I was promised that the invoice would be delivered by Monday evening. On following up multiple times on Tuesday they sent me a WhatsApp photo of the invoice which is highly unprofessional. Secondly when the room was booked I asked them to give them a room on the second floor and they convinced us that the view on the first floor is amazing and on reaching the hotel my parents found out that the view is there is a small building in front of the room which blocks half the view of the ocean- which was one of the main reason for booking this hotel. on calling them they said the rooms are all booked out- which was not the case when i initially called them and asked them about the room. snd the person who handles the call is one of the most indecent and unprofessional person i ever had a chat in any hotels. He doesn't have any decency to talk to the customers and disconnected the call straight away.

Hotel Sea Hawk is one of the best and one of my favourite staycation in Old Digha. An iconic beach-front hotel with excellent service facility. Food quality is too good. Rooms were neat and clean. There's a restaurant from where you can order food just by calling or dine in. It was a beautiful experience! 😍🌊

The location of the hotel is good. We stayed in the cottage & that one is good apart from some minor corrections. Food is also good. The worst part of it's staff.. extremely unprofessional, complete greedy. They don't serve you unless u give them tips for every service. They directly ask for it. Some kitchen staffs are extremely rude on phone . I sincerely wish the owner should seriously look into it .

There is nothing like OWN beach for any hotels at Digha. However, your location is just beside the beach road. you need to trouble yourself for 5 minutes walk to reach the nearest point of old Digha Beach to enjoy the feeling of the sea water.
