It is a fine hotel in the city. The rooms are quite good and the service is awesome. However, according to my opinions the food needs to be a little bit improved. I would also suggest a better maintainance of the rooms. However, if you're looking for a budget stay in Asansol, you can definitely check into this hotel.

We had first stayed in this hotel in 1989 when it was newly inaugurated. After many years, stayed in this hotel again recently and found that it has been thoroughly renovated and upgraded with facilities. The entrance and reception area has become quite impressive. Room had all facilities. However management will do better with some upkeep. Our room TV was not working and it was found that set up box is faulty and needed to be changed. These things should have better been checked beforehand. Also our room had an aluminium window on the road side with a door also which had it knob within reach of even a child. Since there was no grill there is risk of an accident specially with guest with small children. We did draw the attention of the management and hope it has been taken care. Spread and quality at breakfast will do better with improvement. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Good for 1 night. Think it's the only somewhat decent hotel in ASANSOL. Nice hotel but rooms very tired. Need updating, especially bathrooms. Great breakfast and we had dinner there which was excellent.

Horrible hotel. Location poor than you can think of. Service is so poor that you may have to call them multiple times to get one thing done. Even the basic amenities in the rooms are missing. And the price should not be even half than what they are charging keeping in mind the poorest quality of almost everything. Choose a premium room in hotel Sormishtha Residency. I had stayed there earlier. much better. or

Some where in 1990s I used to stay in this hotel 3-4 times for long durations.Every thing was new and very nice.Recently I stayed in this hotel from 08.08.12 to 09.08.12.I was totally shocked to see the condition of the hotel.Room conditions, hotel common area is in pathetic condition. The entire hotel is stinking and even best rooms are very dirty and unhygenic and absolutly no maintenance.Toilets are filthy.Food is also very bad.I dont know on what basis no-1 ranking has been given. The entire hotel needs to be demolished or fully renovated.Even the staff anf front desk are very ordinery. Will not stay in this hotel and not recommended for any one.Prices are also very high and no value for money.

I am regular business traveller to this city, its a small town in the border of West Bengal & Jharkhand. Thoe hotel lies in GT Road the best area of this city where every business traveller will prefer to stay.
This City does not have any decent place to stay, and one should always avoid staying in Asansol, however if there is no choice one can blidnly prefer this hotel. Remember do prefer Deluxe Room in the Second Floor towards left Wing.
Deluxe Rooms in Second Floor are comparatively better, Granite Furnished quite ok toilet. Food of this hotel is reasonablely good.

Other category rooms are pathetic.
Morning Buffet is worst with limited choices i.e. Juice, Sandwich, Puri-Bhaji and probably worstly preapred upma.
Anyways this is the only hotel where you can stay and the price what they charge some Rs 2400.00 does not worth at all.

My client booked this hotel for my 1 day stay in Asansol coz this was one of the best or rather the only good hotel. And it turned out to be a unique little gem, really.

I have stayed at many hotels over the years, often luxury ones with impeccable details and fantastic designs. Price-wise Hotel Asansol international is on par with these better-class hotels. But the comparison fails: Hotel Asansol international is not a luxury place. Yet, I will fondly remember the stay I had there.

It is the perceptive and friendly service that makes it worthwhile staying in this small hotel. The staff are social at just the right level and they go to great length to make you feel at home.

Even my family, who did not stay in the hotel, was received with open arms and exceptionally generously when they came to visit. The owner even offered us to invite them all (6 people) to the hotel

This said, there is nothing wrong with the facilities. The room we had was spacious and pretty, the breakfast is good and the distance to the city is limited.May be small, but it’s a relaxing and quiet place – one where you really don’t mind spending a week or two.

And as many people might have written before. Hotel Asansol international is a place you would definitely come back to and recommend to your friends. Thank you very much for making my stay so pleasant!!!

This is supposedly the nicest place in Asansol-- it's definitely been around a while and is showing some wear, but is still reasonably nice by Indian standards (probably a one to two star by U.S. standards) Good on-site restaurant.

Service at the front desk was English speaking and competent and they have wireless working in some of the rooms as well. My room was not entirely clean at the edges but the main stuff (linens, bathroom, etc. looked reasonably Fresh)

Overall, for those business travelers with some experience with Indian hotels, this is a reasonable choice while in Asansol, as long as you are not expecting too much.

Very disappointed with their service. First one staff came to my room and asked for my car's key as they said they would park it in a safer place. I handed it over to them instead of doing it myself, because I was having my food that time. But they caused a dent and an ugly scratch on my car while parking it themselves. Moreover, the cars of outsiders are parked near the main entrance and the boarders have to park their cars right on the main road (G. T. Road), which is a very busy road and not at all safe. The rooms needed an uplift and the curtains were torn. Water kept coming out from a tap in the bathroom, which could not be closed. Although the door of the bathroom was shut, the sound of dropping water prevented us from having a good sleep. Even their food was average.

I don't think that they have any super deluxe room in the hotel which can accommodate all 4 of you in the same room. But the Deluxe room that they have is good enough to accommodate 3 persons. There are two separate bed and they add up a bed extra. The room is big enough to have one more extra bed for the fourth person. It again depends on the age of your children.
