Fairmont Cottage sits on a hilltop with a stunning view of the Himalayas. It is built like a typical English cottage summer home. The aesthetic sense has been maintained to this day to make your perfect ‘Home away from home’. We have two full time caretakers on the premises who cook as well. We can provide meals, but prefer that you run the kitchen yourselves, like you do at home. The services of the staff are free, for procuring items and cooking. We have satellite TV, excellent wifi and mobile networks, power backup and heating arrangements. Our large fenced garden and private hill gives a sense of seclusion, yet we are just off the main road. We can accommodate nine people comfortably, and a few more with extra beds. If a traditional , hill - home experience is what you're seeking, this would be it.

Beautiful property. Ample space. All conveniences. Helpful staff. Nice grounds. But: no direct access by car, need to climb a steep set of steps. some housekeeping challenges. Good for a young family (s).

We were 8 of us and we all were very happy to have found this cottage. Our friend recommended this place and it met all our expectation. 1.The cottage is sufficient for 8 people (Singles) and if you are going in couples then, 3 couples can easily stay as there are 3 and a half rooms in total in this cottage. 2. Dheeraj Bhaiya (caretaker) & Ganesh (Cook), both were amazing. They were very hospitable and made sure we were taken care off. 3. On the whole the cottage is very spacious, clean & beautiful. Its quite & the backyard has a beautiful view. We spent most of our time there. 4. If you are expecting a 5 star cottage or something fancy then, this might not be the place for you. But if you are looking for a comfortable, specious, clean & homely vibe, then I would recommend it highly. 5. As the market is a bit far, we would tell Dheeraj Bhaiya & Ganesh, what all we wanted to eat the next day and they would make one trip each day to the market and get whatever we required. 6. You might find a few spiders or cockroaches, but that could also be because we went in the month of May, it wasn't exactly the winter time. Also lets not forget, its a cottage and not a 5 start hotel. I just mention this, so you know you might spot 1 or 2, but I wouldn't dwell about it. And believe me,I do suffer from Herpetophobia. :) 7. On the whole, a great great chilled out place with great staff. I highly recommend it.

It is a very well appointed cottage and we could spend hours just hanging around in the cottage. It is very cozy and the helpful caretaker makes it very comfortable. There are a lot of collectibles which are very engaging in themselves, particularly if you are a cricket fan. Now, the reason we went was to get a view of the Himalayan peaks. We couldn't have asked for better. The location of the cottage gave us panoramic view of all the 'seven peaks' in all their glory! Of course, a bright clear sunny day is needed. We spent hours in the cottage gazing and absorbing the magnificent peaks, sipping numerous chais and munching on all kinds of snacks.. The fireplace in the night made it a complete experience! Enjoy your stay!

since the place is on top of a small hill, the views are fablous, from every room. It's very convenient to book the entire cottage if there is a small group of 4-10 people. The atmosphere is laid back, and there are great walks and picnics around.
