It is wonderful place to be around Must try- Ragi Pizza, Kumaoni Thali, Fruit Jams, Squashes and magic of nature.

Its a fantastic place to stay, very hygienic, lush green, great staff. We couldnt reach to the property in daytime due to the tour and received multiple calls from the owner about our safety and location. Morning buffet is prepared by the staff and owner, right in front of us in the kitchen. Network is an issue but its manageable with their wifi. Would recommend for tree house too, enjoy !!

First of all I would like to clarify one thing-This cottage is not situated at proper Mukteshwar so those tourists who want to stay near Mukteshwar dham or Mukteshwar market should avoid this place. This is situated in a village called Gazar which is 8 km away from Mukteshwar, far away from any locality or facility. Those tourists who like to stay at a calm, quiet, relaxing place, far far away from all the hustle & bustle of a tourist spot then this is the place to stay. No mobile network is available here except BSNL, that too very weak so no internet and there is no TV in the rooms either so all you have is lots and lots of time with yourself, disconnected from the world, just relax and rejuvenate in the jungle. Owner Mr Aditya is a friendly person, had interacted with him twice during our stay, he takes good care of the guests. He works with 200 local farmers for their development , which is a good initiative from the resort authority. Food was decent, food is served at a small dining area where a TV and a shelf full of books are available. One problem I noted that there is no telephone or bell in the room to call hotel staffs, you have to call them directly on the mobile phone but since airtel, vodafone, jio doesn't work there so if you don't have a bsnl connection, you wont be able to contact them either. Overall had a nice experience of staying in this jungle resort.

Update to my previous review since i cannot edit the last review for some reason.
The owner responded saying i was refusing to leash my dog and was unwilling to carry his bed.
Either he's confused me with someone else, or he's outright lying.
I was very clear that i usually prefer keeping my dog on a leash at all times, and prefer having him use his own bed. In fact, i carry not only his bed, but also his mats, blankets, toys, and chews. On a recent trip, i even carried his food with me.
My understanding of being pet friendly is that 1) the dog will not have to be confined only to the room at ALL times and 2) basic food can be provided at an extra cost, which should be included in the ridiculously high pet fee being charged.
My understanding of being in the service industry is 1) responding politely to all customer queries 2) not lying 3) being open to criticism and feedback.
These people have failed on all counts by my standards.

I have not stayed at this place, but the customer service I received even before I reached was so off putting that I instantly decided I will never visit this place. First, when you call the number advertised, you reach someone who says they'll tell someone else to call you back. Might as well just put the up the number of the relevant people straight up instead of wasting time on unnecessary calls. Next, though they claim to be pet friendly, they are not. You can bring your pet at a pretty expensive extra cost, but you need to leave him/her locked in the room. The pet is not allowed to roam, even on a leash. Though they are happy to charge a pretty packet for allowing the pet to stay, they will not arrange even basic food like simple boiled chicken. That too, you have to purchase yourself, and ask for it to be cooked. There'll be a separate charge for this service. All this was told to me with a definite tone of disgust by their sales person. Just a simple discussion with these people was so offending that I would recommend to everyone not to visit. Why lie and call yourself pet friendly when you're clearly not? Also, every person in the business is working to earn. But there's no justification for being so disgustingly money minded.

Hi. 1.Our sales person clarified to you that there are many other guests at our place and you need to keep your pet on leash but you were adamant that your dog is not used to leash. 2.You were not even carrying a separate bed for your pet and yes we don't allow pets in the same bed due to hygiene issues. 3.You may love your pey but it would be foolish to imagine that the property owners and all the guests at any property will also love your pet same way. 4.We are a pet friendly property but with some conditions. Thanks for not coming to Cottage Nirvana.

If you want to witness the Himalayas right from your window, and feel the calm and fresh air on your cheeks, the staycation at this place is worth it all. I stayed here with my friend and our stay was awesome. The owner and the staff were very friendly and catered all our needs. Apart from their cute and cozy cottage rooms if you want to feel more happy and relax, they offer various spa treatments too to pamper their visitors. The abundant greenery, birds, snow and hill view add to the pristine beauty all around the resort. If you are a avid reader, this place has spacious dining area along with a small library. It was a great ride down the memory lane seeing some old books on their selves. Around 5-6 km from the resort, they have a Cafe too that offers amazing food. One can also get healthy and natural organic products like pickles, jams, pulses, beauty care etc. A must try & highly recommended.
Alluring landscape all throughout the day and night with breath of fresh air. Fans of sunset shots must stay here!

Staying at Nirvana Cottage has always been a pleasent experience. Best place to stay in Mukteshwar for a different travel experience. Property is really beautiful, surrounded with apple orchids and farms. Aditya, property owner, ensures best of the food and hospitality to his guests whether its local delicacies or other dishes to make your stay memorable. Staff is so flexible and caring as they also accompanied us as guide to our trek to Bhalugarh waterfall. Must visit place!

The place is not a wellness resort. It has one room with all dusty amenities thrown in and see through windows. I was told that female therapist would be there but she wasn't. No yoga trainer either. No hillside view. I was all alone in the entire cottage with almost 6 men attendants. No walkable road to this place. You need to climb through a messy stairs. If I knew, I would have never booked. I gave 4 clothes to wash, only 3 came back. Reason given was, one flew away. Overall, spooky ,dilapidated and utmost filthy. I paid 5k for the room and 1k for 20 minutes foot massage. Can't believe.
Good point ? The owner refunded 1000 rupees which was my deposit. Food is served hot albeit only they decide and despite telling them two days in advance from nainital, simple pahadi food wasn't available.

Clarification: 1. I was in constant touch with you and you never mentioned that you wanted a female therapist or yoga session. Pl note, we need to plan things in advance, especially when it comes to a female Ayurveda therapist. I wish you had informed our team and we would have happily arranged for you. Yoga session: Once again, you never mentioned that you want a guided Yoga session.Not to me and not to our staff. We have three qualified Yoga teachers who live in the vicinity. But you need to either book the session in advance or inform the team. Surprisingly, you never mentioned it and now you are complaining. 2. Hillside view: What exactly do you mean by "Hillside view"? Mukteshwar is located at an altitude of 2280 meters(7500 feet). You "are" in hills and you are "surrounded" by mountains. Maybe you are referring to some hillocks in Gujarat. 3. Walkable roads? You were dropped off right inside our parking (inside the campus). Yes, it's a small 20 meters walk to your room but don't forget, you are in mountains. 4. Spooky/Dilapidated: You are living in a dense forest spread over two acres with spaced-out cottages. And we are blessed with about 2000 trees inside the campus, yes we have grown and maintained them with love and care, and yes, we are not a five-star hotel, and we don't want to become one. And we love it(as do our guests). The fact of the matter:: You wanted to meet your friend who stayed with us for good eight days(and very happily) but you were not able to coincide your trip with her dates(not our fault). You booked for 3 nights but you were not willing to pay for it and hence you paid only for one night. And we happily refunded your money(thanks for acknowledging) as we are also selective with our guests and we don't want a certain type of "energy" at our place. All the best.

I stayed at Cottage Nirvana in February 2022 last week. This is a nice cosy hideaway for anyone who is looking for some quality time for himself / herself in the lap of nature. Cottage Nirvana is surrounded by many trees. I was particularly happy to see the Red Rhododendrons in bloom in Cottage Nirvana. The rooms are comfortable. Mukteshwar remains cold even during the summers, since I visited in winters, so their Electric Blankets were very helpful to keep me warm. The food prepared by the Caretakers is wholesome and delicious. Recommended for travelers seeking peaceful vacations away from the hustle and bustle of popular touristy places. Best wishes to the Founder of Cottage Nirvana and his team.

We group of 10 people visited the place. Poor ambiance, condition of the rooms and bathrooms pathetic. Infact unhygienic. Pathetic food quality. Quite difficult to even take it inside. Flies all around while you take food. When complaint, it seems they do not care. You can't take food as per your own choice of menu and time. The menu is decided by them only with no variety. And the time is also decided by them. They call each group at a time for meals as the dining place is so small that can't accommodate more than 10 people at a time. Very less staffs, so it takes lots of time for any service. Infact, there is no services. One guy run around and try to give services to the visitors. No scenic view at all. Overall it was a very poor experience and can't even recommend this resort to anyone. The price is too high if we see the quality of the Resort.
