”Frozen woods” is nestled in a beautiful, remote area of Kumaon Himalayas in Uttaranchal at a height of 6900 feet with a panoramic view of the Greater Himalayan peaks like Nandadevi, Trishul and Panchchuli. The view of the Panchchuli range, for which Kumaon is famous, is perhaps nowhere so splendidly offered than this area. Those who wish to avail of this grand spectacle must remember that the Himalayas show their face only to early risers. Its sole charm is quiet walks along the dappled glen with wildflowers, rustling pine trees and serenity. Escape to a place where there is no sound except the silence of the mountains and lose yourself to the nature. It is not a place for people who want to watch TV, but if you like reading, writing or just walking, you will love this place.Driving through dense oak and pine forest cover, you reach ”Frozen woods” in a comfortable eight hour drive from Delhi. The property is close to a reserve forest teeming with bird and animal life. Deer, bears and panthers are not novelties in these forests.Mukteshwar is a renowned holiday getaway and is a mere 8 hour drive from Delhi. We have a number of special packages designed exclusively for our institutional clients/foreign clients showcasing the rugged natural terrain and the abundant wildlife. Uttarakhand also offers nature enthusiasts an abundance of flora and adventure lovers too will be pleased with the numerous mountain trails that afford opportunities to trek through some of the most beautiful terrain described lovingly by Jim Corbett the renowned author, game hunter and wildlife conservationist.

Coming from Almora, this resort is about 10 km before Mukteshwar. Good location with excellent view of snowclad Himalayas .The room was good sans a mirror even though bathroom had one. There is a decent sit out to enjoy fresh air and panoramic view. The owner stays at the resort and ensures pleasant stay for the guests. Kudos to the chef for good food. Pleasant and responsive staff.

Excellent property, wonderful stay and a perfect place to break away from the concrete jungle. Situated just before the lush green forest en-route Mukhteshwar from Almora, Frozen woods offers the right comfort and the hospitality. Staff is very courteous, food is excellent and guess what the property has a cafe that serves lip smacking food and the right ambiance for one to cherish

Place is not what they shows in pictures. Messed up property , uncleaned , unmaintained , full of smell and seapage in room. Most smelly room. Sharing original pictures too. Worst place to stay, full of insects.

This was my second visit to the Frozen Woods resort and definitely not the last one. Situated amidst the calm wilderness of a small village called Satkhol, this is a beautiful and cozy resort. The owner, Mr. Manoj is a gem of a host and will make sure that you are always well taken care of. Mohit, the resort manager will always be there to fulfill your needs no matter what the time is. The food there is amazing and you must have their Pizzas for sure. There is ample parking space for your vehicles right in the premises of the resort. Would highly recommend this place.

We visited Mukteshwar in May and stayed ate Frozen Woods for a couple of days and had a really great time. The rooms are spacious and clean and the view is great with nice sunshine. Manoj and Hemaji were gracious hosts with lots of local knowledge and stories on lockdown. Mohit and his team were always helpful and very efficient in all services. And the best part was food - everything that we ordered was delicious. Everyone from parents to kids enjoyed the stay.

The idea was to spend 26th January weekend quietly with my wife. Both of us alongwith a friend and his wife landed at Frozen woods around 3 pm after a long drive from Delhi and instantly fell in love with the place. It is right on the side of picturesque peora-mukteswar road and thus very easy to locate.Rooms were large, spacious, clean and beautiful. The vast compound outside the rooms was a great place to bask in the sunlight and enjoy 180 degree view of Himalayas. The next morning we had a good view of Nanda Devi. The staff members were always at their toes to make our stay comfortable. In the night sitting in the dining area around fireplace, having a few drinks and amazing butter chicken by young chef Rahul made everything memorable. We also had a chance to have a long chat with the wonderful, down-to-earth host and owner Mr. Manoj. He was humble enough to share his own life story and how this man from Bihar had this vision to live and feel the charm and beauty of mountains. All in all, a place where I would wish to go more than once and will highly recommend to everyone.

In search for some respite from a cluttered urban lifestyle, we found this beautifully designed accommodation and nest-like coziness, the panoramic views right from our balconies providing an impressive spectacle of the snow capped mountains and clear skies. The owner is an amazing host and is blessed with an equally supportive team. It was a real good find :) #seredipity #amustvisit #peace
