...Situated 90 km from Rishikesh on the Rishikesh-Badrinath Highway, Riverside Resort stands majestically overlooking the Alaknanda river. Lavish accommodation, complete with all modern amenities and endless entertainment elevates the Rafting or the retreat holiday experience to heavenly heights.
It is an ideal place to stop over enroute the Holy shrines of Badrinath, Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib.... Or a stopover for the trekking enthusiasts to Chopta, Tungnath, Auli and Valey Of Flowers.
As a holiday destination is provides adventure activities on the Alaknanda or short trips to The Tehri lake, Pauri and Khirsu.
Costly resort compared to other hotels in same town. It is costlier than hotels in mussoorie. It is even costlier than its sister concern in Mussoorie on Mall road. Hotel manager tried to convince us to take superior quality room stating that the lower price room have room heaters but we will have to switch on and switch off room heater intermittently, otherwise the MCB circuit will trip off.😁😁😁 Restaurant doesn't provide fingerbowl and we have to go outside hotel building to wash hands....🤣🤣🤣
Visited the place withy father for a business visit for 2 nights (in seperate bookings as we were travelling for meetings). The bed sheets and towels were just dusted but not cleaned for the second night. Bedsheets had dirt marls and bad odour. The prices were jacked up due to nearby govt. staff coming in regularly. Few food options, even fewer ones fit to eat. No staff available to provide proper service even at such a high price. Breakfast/dinner not included in room rent.
It is the most overpriced place to stay with pathetic service and rooms. The rooms are worse than a motel and they should call themselves motel and not a resort. Dirty sheets, substandard furniture, dirty curtains are a few things to name. Food menu is limited and to serve that basic food they take hours and bring even a simple thing as a toast, cold to you. Tea can take them 45 mins. If you have good money to spend then stay at a good place rather having a bad experience here.
We stopped for lunch on the way from Haridwar to Joshimath. The resort offers great views of the river and you can walk down to enjoy the view. It is an excellent location. The food was simple and reasonable. Certainly decent enough to meet a hungry traveller's needs. No beer which was a shame.
Stopped over for food... Rates as high as any good beef restaurant in Mumbai but horrible quality. Khichdi was given by mixing dal n rice separately. Rice in khichdi n pain rice was uncooked. Lime soda was bitter n overall food very bad. Indifference in the attitude of the management made the experience even worse.
