Detailed Reviews
Stayed here for 4 nights at the end of a group tour to Southern India and Kerala.
The hotel's gardens are vast and very well maintained. I was in a downstairs chalet room with small terrace and day bed - day bed was badly stained and the cushions needed to be cleaned. It was a short walk to reception/restaurant but if you are further afield, there is a buggy service. The room was large with all amenities, including mini bar, and drinking water was replenished generously. The air con worked fine. The food was buffet style and of a good standard with plenty of choice. Breakfast was also good with eggs/omelettes cooked to order, although the coffee machine and toaster did play up on a couple of occasions. The reception staff were very helpful and nothing was too much of a problem. The swimming pool was kept immaculately with regular removal of leaves and flowers from overhanging trees/shrubs. Overall, a very pleasant 4 night stay and I will not hesitate to visit the hotel again.

Lovely resort spread across 44 acres near all the major attractions in Mahabalipuram.
Adequate precautions for Covid was taken by temperature check at the entrance and also hand sanitization before entering the checkin area. After the checkins, you are taken to your room by a Buggy (electric cart) and required help is provided to transport luggage to your room.
The property was clean & very well maintained, it is cleaned regularly and has hand sanitizing units at multiple locations. They have pool view and sea views rooms and they had good views. The pools were shut due to Covid, but it was a lovely sight. The room service was great and we had no issues, even though we had to call them multiple times to get few items - they were always willing to help.
They have a private beach just behind the property and it is open from 6 am - 6 pm everyday. You can get a stretch of about a Km to experience the beach. They also have tea/coffee and snacks served near the beach in the evening (till 6 pm).
They have two main eating areas - 1) Water's Edge, near the reception/entrance, has multiple cuisines and has a larger sitting area. The buffet breakfast is also served here. It was quite crowded, especially during the Diwali weekend. 2) Wharf, located near the beach, is open at the side and is breezy, especially in the evenings.

Hotel sits just north of the town of Mahabalipuram ( about 1km) and on a sandy beach. It is set in large private well kept gardens.
Reception is a large open affair with plenty of seating and check in was easy, efficient and friendly. We also got a good briefing of the hotel facilities. As the hotel is essentially built in 2 parts a “townside “ part and “beach side part , there is a buggy service between them. Accommodations are either in single bungalows or 2 floor blocks.
Room 107 was a stunner, and really looked fabulous. It had lovely decor, twin beds, that were very comfortable, sofa with table, desk with chair, giant tv, fridge, fan and a/c. There was also a walk in wardrobe with laying out and hanging space, drawers and a safety box. Tea and coffee makings. The toilet/shower room , lies behind sliding doors. There is a large “rain shower”” wet area, sink, toilet and all toiletries.
Buffet dinner and breakfast was excellent with a great variety of foods that tasted great.
As a resort there are all sorts of things to do.
I liked the beach bar/ restaurant!
Oh yes - forgot it has the largest pool in Asia!
Overall - this is a really great hotel to stay in, if you come too Mahabalipuram!

I had booked for two pool facing villa for one day Checkin was 1 hour late for one villa and 3 hours late for the other,Just imagine they have 3 hours of preparation time already you r left with 21 hours they then delay 3 hours on top of it so remaining 18 hours,
Front desk service is far below average.
Food at the restaurants are mediocre, Service non existant its like eat and go if you want.
Dont ask for room service it will like take for ever,If you order lunch perhaps you could eat it at dinner.
There is a buggy to go to the beach the driver to which is always missing and the security guard always loitering around if you want to ask somebody to call the buggy.
Rooms are clean though not well decked.Location is magnificient a huge property by the beach,Infrastructure planning of infrastructure excellent.
The pool though cannot be used due COVID is maintained well and is soothing to the eyes.
On checkout the bill was not to the entity I mentioned and paid for, they said the bill would be sent by mail in a couple of days now its 22 days and and still waiting for the bill.So I call up yesterday asking for the bill ,my bill was cleared by this guy called Faizul Rahman ,He said that my Company was not in their database so they couldnot send the mail,If I was to send the GSTIN whydose my company need be in any of their database. He then handed over to another guy who said the mail id I gave is wrong hence they could not send me the mail.I asked him what e mail id did he send the bill no answer,So include bluffing too in the list of service they provide too. Finally it was handedover to a lady who said the will send the bill in a couple of hours<I am still waiting for the bill.
Please do go if you could accept a mediocre service with excellent infrastructure.

Having a good vacation is not about staying at a property that has great views, location with good access and nice food; it is about have you are made to feel. We traveled with a 1 year old baby and before we traveled we were worried that we may not be able to procure food the way we prepare it for our baby (simple and grounded down to semi paste). Not only did the in-room-dining team prepare baby food for us like we asked for all 3 meals in a day, they didn't even charge us for it. Starting from how we were thoughtfully given a quiet room that will let us enjoy even with a baby to the way the staff accommodated and served us in the restaurants, it showed that they cared that we have a good time.

We selected this location after comparing with few others at Mahabalipuram due to direct access to the beach from the property. Those worried about COVID can be rest assured that this is the best hotel taking all precautions with its guests. brilliant service staff who smile more after wearing the mask :) Would like to thank entire resort staff (cleaner's; buggey drivers; security guards) working very hard staying away from their families to keep visiting guests safe and secure. Special thanks and gratitude to Saurav Thakur & Sivakumar in the Reception desk during check in/ check out; Manna & Anirban for their service in Water's edge restaurant; Mainak in Wharf restaurant, Anita in Children's activity center; Pankaj singh for his empathy and courtesy (he changed our room for a minor issue), all staff serving snacks and tea by the sea side in the evening. Would also like to express our sincere thanks to Mr. Vijaykumar Director food and Beverage for leading a brilliant team of chef's working tirelessly for cooking so many tasty dishes and mouth watering desserts.
The warmth and hospitality of all we met in the resort during this diwali - lighted our hearts with happiness. Our daughter is already planning her next visit soon.
Tips on Rooms - Pool view chalets are cool, those who wish to see sea waves from the room should select sea view chalets, those who wish to swim n dance in privacy can select rooms with mini pool and jaccuzi.

We went to this place in the last week of Dec 2020, 4 adults and 2 kids. The resort is huge and has excellent landscape and infrastructure. They have direct access to a decent and clean beach. While the beach is no comparison to the private ones with resorts u find in South Goa but it still good to enjoy the sun, sea and sand.
We had some initial issues with room and housekeeping services but it was soon addressed when brought to the notice of the management. Mr. Hariprasad Suresh, Director-Rooms was kind and prompt enough to sort out our problems immediately for a great stay ahead. One of the room was also upgraded as there was some hot water issue with the previous one.
They have different restaurants and the food spread is decent with good taste. Do ask for live counter dishes if you are on a buffet as it not displayed anywhere. Mr. Sabya at the Water edge restaurant made sure every guest is attended to and is satisfied with food and service. Sabya, Well done!
Their beach side restaurant The Wharf 2.0 has great food option and we loved the taste. The restaurant or the so called shack again cannot be compared to Goa shacks but it is fine. It is on the beach but fenced away from sand. Sujay at The Wharf was amazing with his service and recommendations. We truly had a lovely time there. Sujay, wish we had more like you everywhere..great job.
Overall a great place to stay. Beautiful meandering pool, all time running buggys, beach, kids activity centre, huge chess, etc, etc.
Areas for improvement are room service speed and food spread for non-vegetarians.
Recommended!!!

This property is heaven on this planet. Certainly the best we have ever visited. Extremely well managed and quality at its best. Mr Hari Prasad the rooms director was very prompt to take care of us on arrival and Suraj from the water edge restaurant was very keen on the service part. It’s bang on the beach with two excellent pools. The only concern this place has the in room dining rates are too high, forcing guests to dine outside or get food from outside. We will go back soon as it’s hardly 60 minutes from the Chennai airport.

There was no value for money during the stay.It looked as if the hotel is using the radisson name to lure in customers but the service, rooms and facilities at the resort do not match the standards of a 4 star resort.
When we checked in at 3.30 pm,we were told only one of the rooms was available and the other room needed another 30 min for the cleaning to be completed. In the second room, the kettle top broke and dropped into the kettle ,bathroom door wasn't closing properly and had to be attended by someone which took a good 40 minutes. We noticed the air conditioning leaked water in the room and we found water droplets on the furniture and floor. There was a strong odour in the second room after the cleaning was complete and it lingered on till the end of the day.
In the bathroom,we noticed the flush button was placed just behind the toilet seat cover meaning if one had to use the flush button, they had to put the toilet seat down to access it.This shows the lack of thought and application of common sense when it was installed.
ATV had broken down and we couldn't utilize it,the same was said when we wanted to use the air hockey setup as well. The foosbal table was badly rusted and was old and creaky and when we wanted to play table tennis we noticed the ball was broken as well. This shows the management really did not care about the upkeep of sporting facilities which proved to be a huge bummer.
Upon informing in advance that we would be checking out and needed some one to help pick our luggage, there was no one coming to our rooms for almost 40 minutes and we had to call a buggy cart on our own to go to the reception with our luggage.
All the above instances did not give a pleasant feeling during the entire stay and i would definitely not recommend the resort to anyone in the future. What was supposed to be a fun and enjoyable family get together experience ended up leaving a sour taste for everyone in the family. There was more disappointment than wow factor at the resort.

We had booked a garden chalet, but were upgraded to a pool view chalet at check-in. The resort is huge and very well maintained. The rooms were big and the view out to the pool was very relaxing. The beach was a 5 minute walk inside the resort from our room and is very well maintained, with a lifeguard always present. There are buggies to ferry guests around the resort at anytime.
We were lucky to be at the resort just when the swimming pool access restrictions due to COVID were lifted. Though the pool in front of the rooms was not open, the infinity pool overlooking the beach was. Clean and well maintained, we had a great time in the pool. They also had an outdoor jacuzzi open.
Breakfast spread was good. Food at their in-house restaurant, the Wharf, is on the expensive side, but the ambience is nice, what with it being right next to the beach.
Overall, we had a great time here and would love to visit again!!
