I had a great stay at Siva guest house, the service was amazing. The host- Mr. Kolio Kumar uncle is probably the best host I have ever met!! He guided me with the nearest tourist and beach spots, also arranged scooty rental in cheap for me. Had great fun staying in the guest house and knowing Mr. Kumar. Thank you so much.
I found Siva Guest House on Booking.com and it looked the ideal place for me to stay at, as a single traveller. I have not been disappointed. From the moment I arrived the owner, Rama, and his manager Kumar have been most welcoming, friendly and helpful. The rooms are set around a courtyard and are very clean, have all the basic requirements and are comfortable. Tea and and coffee-making facilities in the rooms were an added bonus. The room rate is very good value. I couldn’t wish for a nicer place to stay. I shall miss everyone when I travel on to Pondicherry next week.
Our stay was very comfortable and pleasant, it's very close to beach and veg hotel... Value for money at an affordable for budget class hotel.... Nice location to take photos, clean and neatly, it's really recommended....
I stayed here for two nights relaxation at the end of a week visiting friends who run a Children's Home in a village much further south. The Guest House is well placed for the beaches, the rock cut temples and with plenty of choice of places to eat nearby. My room was on the first floor and faced the street; it was comfortable, clean and good value. The internet was free and worked well. There was ample hot water for the shower. Great advice and help offered by Kumar whenever I asked.
I visited the small but fantastic town of Mahabalipuram without a hotel and only some reviews I read online. As soon as I stepped into Siva Guesthouse I was warmly invited when asking for a room. I was shown the room and it was clean and roomy. The flat Screen TV was excellent as was the WiFi reception. The bathroom was also clean with good smelling soap. I had a great nights sleep at the Siva Guesthouse. If I did not have to catch a train I would have extended my stay another day. The location is also excellent. There is a great coffee shop across the street and all the ruins and beach are within walking distance. I highly recommend this Guesthouse.
On arriving late from Europe in Chennai, we were met at the airport by Ramesh, The guesthouse owner's driver, extremely friendly, considerate, polite, helpful. He drove us to the guesthouse and this was the beginning of a wonderful time. Contrary to our initial plans we would spend the next week with Ramesh, driving us through Tamil Nadu and Kerala, where we finally parted company. Ramesh showed as so much we would never have seen in the time we had, he explained traditions and habits to us, and he was extremely protective of us. He would never let us stay in our prebooked accommodation if he had not inspected it before. Without him, our trip would have been much less memorable. Oh, and we also liked the guesthouse, clean, good value for money, quiet, as other reviewers have said before us.…
We are very happy to stay in Mahabalipuram and Siva guesthouse is very very good!! Our owners with Kumar was very nice and very kind. We're stayed 5 nights and the room was very confortable and very clean.
This place is so clean, cute and cosy to stay in! But most of all, what made our stay so nice is Kumar, the manager of the guest house, who was very kind, available and who took care of us! I 'll surely come back to this place if I m back to Mahabalipuram, and warmly recommend this guest house! :)
I stayed three nights there. Kumar who runs the guest house is a very friendly and nice guy. Always helpul, whenever I had some questions for example how to get somewhere, he helped me. Rooms are nice clean. The guest house is in a good location. Martina
