Stayed there for 3 Nights and had a wonderful experience overall. Ambiance : They have tried to give the resort a village feel and have done it magnificently. There is a small pond with fishes , lot of tress and flowers all around. Also badminton / table tennis court to keep one active. Rooms : We stayed in Super deluxe Room. It was spacious pretty well maintained and had plenty of Sunlight . But surround by tress , plants there were few bugs. Do close window at night to avert the same. Food : Breakfast was complementary and spread was filling. There were Cornflakes , Milk , Alu Partha , Poha quantity was huge and they never ran out of any items. Tea was pretty special over there. Dinner we had Chinese / Tibetian dishes and were lip smacking. Must have. Also they have Bar menu and at cheap rates when compared to Other Bar. Location : Ideal spot to relax and un-wind. Situated at Darap and five minute walk away from Village Walk entry point. But make sure to carry enough cash as there is no ATM. Load-shedding is regular affair but ther have generator service. Pelling is 7 KM away and only ATM there is SBI (Which ran out of cash both the time we visited) Special Mention : The Manager "Buddha" and his staff will make sure you have a great time , always available and very much helpful. Even Buddha sings very well and one day he kept us engaged for over an hour by singing songs and playing guitar. Only Con which I can say is there is no view from Cottages. But again a simple walk along Darap Road will compensate that .…
I spent my holidays in sikkim Darjeeling tour in this hotel, very nice service and good staff and a good experience with hotel. Nice village type wooden rooms, tenis court, bedmintan, kareoke music, dining hall, small lake, shoping shop, fireplace etc. Very very excellent resort.,
nice stay .never seen such a hospitality by a resort. stay is great because of hotel manager buddha. resort is 15 minutes from pelling. kanchenzenga is not visible from resort. but peace is there. hospitality is there. bonfire is there. karaoke is there...............
I am back to my home town hyderabad last week from sikkim tour. During my tour I happen to visit pelling and I had spent 1 night here with my family. The village experience is amazing. This is definitely for the people who want to stay clam and looking for piece of mind with no disturbance. Not the place for party lovers. The quality of food is very good. If you visit this place then don't miss their Lunch / Dinner. And their manager Mr.Budha, the great person with always helping and pleasing nature. If you have not planned your tour, just explain him your budget and places of interest, he will take care.
Resort gives you the feeling of village as you are away from city life, traffic, Internet, Intercoms and very close to natural habitats of vegetation and animals. Food was good, so was Hotel Manager Mr. Buddha. Not so good points- Room size could have been little big
Great great secret find to get away from city life. Truly a home away from home with all the bells and whistles. Super tasty food with local produce(specially the aloo paranthas!!!!!). The view is to die for and all you need is a book, tea or beers and you can spend the entire weekend just enjoying the sun and clean air. A big thanks to the property manager Mr. Buddha for arranging a bonfire & musical night. The resort is far away from the hustle & bustle.....truly a scenic place.I would love to visit this place again.
very nice and peaceful place to stay in Darap near Pelling... food is very yummy.. rooms are clean and well maintained.. 5 cottages are there, made mostly of wood.. surrounded by beautiful greenery.. staff is very well behaved and good, especially Mr. Buddha.. He is very decent guy, talks very politely and helps whatever needed.. he arranged bonfire for us.. all the staff welcomes their guests in a very nice way.. would recommend everyone who want to visit Pelling and enjoy peaceful stay, away from noise and city life.. I would like to visit it again if I ever plan for Sikkim in my life..
had a wonderful stay at Cherry Village Resort Pelling, peaceful stay, good breakfast and Dinner just like home made food ...good place to relax, peace n village stay experience.center of attraction is Mr.Buddha, really impressed with the way he welcome us and the way he treat his guest, very well behaved and decent guys n also i would like to thanks the little guys who always fix the tv problem n always provide us the hot water bucket...though we were the only guest in the resorts so there was not that much of excitement or bonfire something like that on those days...but we enjoyed our stay here..but i must say one thing if you really want to enjoy trip in Darjeeling, entire sikkim,Namchi and Pelling then the best man to design your trip is Mr.Sonam Mocktan owner of Lords Tours And Travel. One of the best Tour advisor and travel agency group..wish u all a very best of luck, keep up your best service.thank u…
I would say it was one of the best hotel of my stay in Sikkim (Have stayed in 5 different hotels in 4 different towns). We stayed in this hotel for two nights in first week of Oct-2017. Location: It is at 3-5 KMs away from main Pelling town. It is in a small village, Darap. There are small groceries shops at walking distance (Walk towards Darap Village) if you want to buy something like snacks, biscuits, cigarettes, etc. Hotel rooms & facility: This is a very small resort (it has only 5 rooms). Hotel/resort facility is designed keeping village tourism in focus. There is heavy use of wooden in room structure. Rooms were clean & very well maintained. Food: Food is really very good. Would recommend to try Veg Pakodas (Snack) & Aloo Paranthas (in breakfast). Customer service: This is the best part of this hotel. Mr. Buddha (Hotel/resort manager) and the boy (I think his name is Basant) are very responsive & courteous. Mr. Buddha is multi-talented guy. He also arranged bonfire on both the days for us. Overall experience – I will definitely recommend this resort for peaceful & different experience of village tourism and high-class customer service. I would love to visit this place once again in my life time.…
It is located in a small but beautiful village. The whole area gives you a vibe of village tourism. The rooms and the surroundings are well maintained and as per the standard of a homestay even the food that they serve are local.......everything was good.
