Its a small and cozy hotel with less than 20 rooms. The staff is very cordial & helpful. The Hotel Managers / Reception staff Mr. Partho & Mr. Abhijeet were very helpful & helped us quite a bit to plan our travel for 4 days. The owner Mr. T. Bhutia is also a very helpful & accomodating person. We had hired 2 rooms & the rooms were very spacious, with clean bathrooms. Whenver you book a room here, make sure you ask for a room facing Kanchanjunga. The view of Kanchanjunga in the morning, with the first rays of the rising sun falling on the snow capped Kanchanjunga is absolutely breathtaking. The room service etc is good.

First and foremost...
If you are in Pelling, try to put up at Upper Pelling and not in Lower Pelling. I have visited Pelling thrice and have preferred to stay at upper Pelling, Lower Pelling is congested and having no particularly amazing scenic beauty.
Now about the Hotel...
Nothing flashy, nothing unreal.... good, honest, low cost property with all round bengali stuff and bengali cuisine, superb view of Mt. Kanchenjunga.
My advice will be to book the suite room (only one) with personal terrace, facing the valley-range view, to enjoy the most. You can see the extensive Mountain ranges, valleys and the forest covering the ranges and valleys. in the evening time, I even once heard a barking deer, though that's very rare, but, then, I was lucky !!!
Car/Taxi is available from the hotel, for sightseeing and pick up/drop at NJP or Bagdogra, at a reasonable fare.
Though the hotel property is not too flashy, but the maintenance is great... furnishings are good, floor is carpeted and hospitality is really good.
Food is typically Bengali and the quality is average. Booking can be done from Siliguri/Kolkata over telephone. Overall, this Hotel is a good choice for a hastily planned trip, with a budget on a lower side, as it is more than "value for money". Thumbs up for Simvo.

Me and My family members stayed in this Hotel from on 9 March 2015. We were provided a warm welcome and Superb Room. For Dinner, lunch and Breakfast they have variety, which we have to inform in advance. Room service / House Keeping was very Good and very accommodative. Special thanks to Manager who is quite helpful and very friendly, for his best cooperation with us/ Guests. Considering us he has also automatically upgraded to View Room type. Hotel Simvo in Upper pelling is worth of staying as it offers an amazing view of mountain range of Mt.Kanchenzonga from the hotel’s Open Terrace/ balcony in the morning. We will definitely stay again. & strongly recommend this Hotel. We had a marvelous stay in pelling at Hotel SIMVO which had Wonderful interiors, very good service and some excellent dining too. The maintenance / architectures are great with good furnishings and carpeted floors.

Checked in 11/03/2017 afternoon
Checked out 13/03/2017 morning
3 couples, booked 3 super deluxe rooms with attached balcony and mountain view (601,602,603). Booked through Makemytrip.

The view from room/ balcony is just stunning and NO OBJECTION AT ALL.
But the positives ends here. We had good reviews about Simvo before booking. But we experienced the following -

1) We were told 24 hours hot water availability, but during power cut we did not get it. They have power backup which allow a single light in each Super Deluxe room. All other electric options are non-functional that time. And we experienced a power cut from 11/03/2017 evening till check out.

2) Exactly same for charging points. I enquired other few hotels nearby. They said they don't allow charging during power cut (which is same here, so no issues). However geysers are operational and included in power backup system.

3) Wi-fi works only at the lobby/ reception area.

4) Televisions were not functional in either rooms (Super Deluxe)

5) Balcony door of room 601 was cracked at the screw point and very very hard to lock fully.

6) Intercom did not work in room 601 and 603. The facilitators suggested an alternative electric switch but no one ever came whenever we pressed it.

7) You will get room cleaning if you ask for it. One towel is allowed in each double bedded room.

8) We checked in when it was raining. On that day they did not have laundry facility. So on request a clothe dryer was provided for Rs. 400 for the entire stay. But to our surprise they asked for Rs 400 per day for it. Swear they agreed for a total sum of Rs 400. And 12 and 13 March we could not use it because of power cut.

9) After checked in we ordered lunch and we were damn hungry and followed up the order 2-3 times. Instead of Egg Chicken noodles, they served Chicken noodles. And when we brought into notice, a boy came with a fresh Egg bhurji and suggested to mix it in the noodles.

10) We had complementary breakfast with our booking. On 12/03/2017 morning it was really really nice and tasty. But we had to check out at 07:30 on 13/03/2017, hence requested an early breakfast. They assured the breakfast would be ready by 06:30 but only bread-butter and omlet would be available. We were OK with this but at the time every kitchen staff was sleeping and at 07:10 we were served bread-butter but not omlet. Negotiated with that anyway.

I have no personal fight with hotel Simvo. Even the readers can check my other reviews where I go loud with praising. But currently Simvo is far far away from any kind of recommendation.

This hotel is located on Upper Pelling, close to Helipad. You can walk to Helipad (10 mins). Very nice terrace, you can see a very clear view of Kanchenjunga. Rooms are not so good, but, it is okay for one or two days stay. Hotel staffs are good and helpful. Foods are also good and cheap. They have their own restaurant.

I stayed here every time from my childhood. Rooms good, clean. Management is hospitable & courteous. Food quality good but little-bit costly (due to category of the hotel standard & adding of transportation cost). It offers an amazing view of entire mountain range of Mt.Kanchenzonga. Always ask for view room to enjoy every moment with Excellent view.

I stayed In this Hotel For 2 Nights with my Family we hadin all 4 rooms t our selves.
I guess Almost Every Room Has A KanchanJonga View. The Difference is some have balcony, Some have a Pvt Terraace, and somejust a window. Out of the Two days we got a very clear View on the day of our check out. It was really something.
The staff is Not well trained but is very Curteous and helpful, note that its a budgeted hotel, however they have been able to maintain their service levels pretty well. I am not sure if every hotel in Pelling has the advantage of the full View of the Himalayas but this one has, the food is also good enough, would recomend that you have food in the Hotel as there is always a shortage of good hotels in Pelling.

I with my family had a three day stay here in October 2014. The hotel has a vantage point of excellent view of Kanchanjungha. The hotel management is hospitable and arranged our local trips to our satisfaction. The hotel claims star status and all charges are high accordingly but without matching standard. But overall cleanliness, room decor and services are just like any standard hotel. Food served is definitely overpriced but not at all live up the expected standard.
