We made a Big mistake of booking this Hotel for two reasons. One, we had booked it at the last moment when we did not have time to search, analyze and evaluate. Two, there were great reviews of beautiful view of Kanchanjunga from the room which were totally misleading. Even owner misguided when we booked room thr him that he would gives us a room with beautiful views of Kanchanjunga but actually there were four other hotels in front of our windows, that too back of those hotels with dirty terraces occupying huge black water tanks and other unwanted scrap materials which totally spoiled our mood. Even though, room was very spacious with separate sitting arrangement, carpet on entire floor, it was extremely suffocating. Another mood spoiling factor was, as soon as we entered, there was strong unpleasant smell of Non Veg. We are vegetarian but even Non Veg guest would find it mood spoiler. There is no open space, no lobby, no reception area except small passage – used as reception adjacent to restaurant. WiFi service was extremely bad. Speed was very slow and it used to get disconnected too often and would not come back soon. Geyser’s main control switch was on ground floor controlled by management. We received only one bucket of hot water not sufficient even for one person. Intercom system is out of order for long time. We were required to go down when we needed anything. Mobile number of one staff member was given but he may not necessarily be present all the time. Hotel is owned and managed by a couple Taman (if I remember name correctly) and Tashi. While Tashi is very kind, soft spoken ready to help lady and she did help us, her husband Taman I found moody and inconsistent person. Before booking the room he was extra polite but later when we had to cancel our second day's stay due to health reasons he was curt and disrespectful. It was he who had promised us that he would give us beautiful room with Kanchanjunga view. Of course, Kanchanjunga peak at very far distance can be seen from any room but before that, right in front of your eyes are dirty backs of 4 huge other Hotel Buildings. For dinner we went to Jain Hotel bang opposite this hotel where they served delicious 3 course Vegetarian Buffet Dinner with Good spread at reasonable price of Rs 370 per person. Overall it was not at all pleasant stay at Pemaling Residency and I would certainly NOT recommend. HARISH THAKKER GOOGLE GUIDE …
We reached Peling at 21:30 . It was tough to get a hotel at that time. We were lucky to get a excellent hotel like this. It's a great hotel ..very good room, very friendly behaviour from staff and the manager lady. Food is little expensive but ok .. From roof Kanchanjanha view is excellent.
We visited Pemaling for lunch during an organised trip. It was so good we cancelled dinner in our hotel and went back for dinner in the evening. We’ve been in India for a week and this was the best food we have had anywhere. The pakoras are incredible and between the 4 of us we had most things on the menu. Everything was great and I was able to go into the kitchen to watch the food being prepared. Great people, extremely friendly. Highly recommended.
We are lunch here. Nothing was too much trouble. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. And the food! Freshly cooked. To our taste in terms of spice heat. Try the pakoras. All excellent. It was that good we went back for dinner
We found this beautiful budget hotel next to Hotel Viewpoint where we had our initial booking. Upon check in we found that Viewpoint was utter disappointment and being with small kids we had to look for alternative. We were lucky that Pemaling was next door and had rooms available. The family managing the hotel is extremely professional and service is top notch. Dinner and breakfast both were excellent, in fact was one of the best we had in our trip. View from the hotel rooftop was beautiful. All in all decent budget hotel for family and worth recommending
super ...good place...the owner tamang and family takes care of you directly...so everything is in place. No wifi is a problem. generally network data is very weak there, especially vodafone/idea. Airtel is ok. Jio i am not sure. Food super. any time choice in pelling
Position of the hotel is good. Also service of the hotel staff (specifically Pranit) was really good. only draw back was WIFI. Wifi was not working at all. Though as per hotel staff wifi is working till 1st floor but during our stay it was not working in ground floor also.
This little hotel is family owned and the owners could not be more caring. They provide a welcome drink and nothing is to much trouble. One of our group had an accident and they were more than helpful. Laundry service is reasonable priced and returned same day. They speak good English and the rooms are very clean. The shower hot water it's a bit tricky, but just ask for help. The views from the roof are fabulous.
I was in pelling and stayed at Pamelling Residency. The property appears to be very simple, but the facilities are amezing. Nice well equipped rooms with carpet and warm blankets are soothing and relaxing. Beautiful interior with local cultural glimpse gives visitors homely feeling. 1)Hot water available for 24 hours 2)Galary provides nice view 3)Room service is quick and available for almost for all the time 4)Food is amazing and serve hot 5)Manager and entire staff are so helpful and ready to take your any last minutes requests as well 6)Rooms are clean and well maintained 7)Property is located near to sky walking and Hanging bridge 8)It was beautiful nice soothing stay.
We really enjoyed our stay here. After checking out other places that just weren’t worth the money we stumbled on this little gem. Our top floor room had a superb view of Kachenjunga, comfortable bed and hot water. Most importantly everything was super clean. Breakfast was included and was filing and delicious. But the best thing about our stay was the wonderful family running the hotel. Very hospitable and they endured we had everything we needed. Your warm welcome and wonderful hospitality truly made our stay - thank you
