The hotel is a good one in Pelling at an affording budget. It is a 3 star property. The staff in the reception and in the restaurants are highly friendly. We went as a tourist of North East India to Gangtok, Pelling and Darjeeling and one night stay was in this hotel in Pelling. The geyser in the room was not functioning. The breakfast served in the next day morning was simple and very good. However, there is not much places to stay in Pelling. It is better to avoid the visit of Pelling and have one extra day either in Gangtok or Darjeeling instead.
Hotel is just about average - but has a great view of the Kanchenjunga! Rooms aren't very clean, bathroom taps leak and No Lift although its a 5 storied property! Breakfast spread is decent. Overall, OK for short stays.
De regency pelling is a nice 6 floor hotel. Better then other small hotels in pelling. There are 3 levels of pelling.. lower middle upper.. it's a small place to roam around. Hotel is ok not that luxurious but as pelling is small place it's ok to stay for 1 or 2 nights.. Mr Lawrence at the reception was very helpful. Gives lots of guidance on exploring new places in pelling. Food was ok.. chef gave us food depending upon our taste.. service is quick and all helpers are also co-operative. Overall can recommend this place to everyone.
Pelling is a very small town and this hotel has all the comfort one wants.Staffs are very friendly,we had to leave early one morning and the staffs packed our breakfast in such a beautiful way.Rooms are clean and has a very nice view of the mountains
This hotel is conveniently located on Pelling’s main road. It is barely 200ft from HavMore Restaurant which offers Pelling’s best choice of South Indian/North Indian & Chinese/Pizza dishes. We had booked a Super Deluxe room for 3D/2N, which was spacious, ~240sft, with large bay window offering a great Valley view. All Hotel Staff are courteous & helpful. Electrical maintenance is rather weak with some fittings non-functional. There is no WiFi - apparently all over Pelling. The buffet breakfast is a limited choice of poorly made items. Lunch & Dinner Menus offer a wide choice. Room Service is good. If the clouds clear timely, the room window offers a magnificent view of the Himalayas between 5am to 6am for a small time window of 15~20mins. We were lucky !
Great service. Amazing stay. Kind and courteous staff. The service was amazing. Hotel has an amazing view of the Himalayan range. Food is good and safe. Would definitely recommend this hotel for stay in Pelling
I found the most awesome staff I have ever found in a hotel. The hotel is having a very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms and good a I could see the mighty Mt Kanchenjunga from my room. The food was tasty. A five star for the service and courtesy. Highly recommended.
We (myself & my wife) stayed in Hotel De Regency for 4 nights this month. We booked the hotel on arrival at Pelling. We chose to stay on the top floor (Room No - 402) because of the beautiful window-view of the surrounding hills. The weather was cool and cloudy with some light rains mostly during the afternoons and evenings. We had some pleasant walks on the hilly roads of Pelling under the cover of our umbrellas. However, the highlight of our Pelling tour was the sight of the mighty snow-clad Kunchejunga Peaks from our Hotel window. The snow-white Kunchejunga Peaks made our mornings very enjoyable. The hotel is centrally located in Pelling. The SBI ATM, Petrol Pump and the local market are very near to this property. Some small good restaurants are also nearby. The taxi stand and various travel-agency offices are just a short walk from this hotel. We were served welcome-tea on arrival. The hotel is clean and well- maintained. They provide 24-hour hot water supply. Tea-maker (electric kettle) was available in the room and tea / coffee bags were replenished daily. The complimentary buffet breakfast had a good spread of tasty and healthy foods. The room-service was always very quick. The rooms were cleaned daily. The towels and linens were changed regularly. The entire staff were very friendly and courteous. They were always ready to help with a smile. A special thanks to the very energetic and cordial Mr. Lawrence at the front-desk. He took good care of us and helped us with the information of the local area. He guided us well in planning our sight-seeing tours of Pelling. Overall, we had a very enjoyable and happy stay at Pelling. Hotel De Regency was a real value-for-money staying option for us. They provided a wonderful holiday experience at an economical price. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our family & friends. …
This hotel is located in Middle Pelling and has unblocked views of the mountain peaks from the front side rooms. We could see all the snow peaks clearly from our room including Mt Kanchenjunga main peak. The hotel boys are mostly from Darjeeling and are very enthusiastic about providing a warm service. We had booked MAP plans for our 3 night stays here and enjoyed every bit of it. The food taste was awesome to say least. None of the dishes were repeated during our entire stay. Only shortcoming was unavailability of wifi in the hotel. Also they do not provide room heaters even during peak of winter. At night the temp was dropping to almost subzero levels. But they asked huge service charges for personal use of room heaters. Tea coffee kit and toiletries provided were of good quality, but they replenished it only after asking to do so. The hotel is also close to taxi stand and ATM. Handful of Bengali, Jain and Continental restaurants in vicinity. Overall, a very nice stay, if not the best in Pelling.…
We did not have any prior hotel booking in Pelling, so once we reached there, we engaged in frantic search mission. And after looking for about 15-20 mins, we settled for this hotel since it was near the centre and not a far walk from other from the places that we wanted to visit like the Rabdanste ruins. The hotel was clean and they were mindful of that fact that a quinquagenarian was accompanying us. They allotted us a clean, double-bed room with geyser and toiletries. Breakfast was included with the package and comprised of bread, butter, jam, omlette of choice (masala, plain or cheese), tea, coffee and a special item (paratha, puri bhaji and so on). The overall price for 3 people for 2 nights and 3 days with Breakfast was 6000. As dinner was not included hence we had to order well in advance so that they could get the veggies and stuff from the market since we visited during non-season time and it was not a running kitchen due to lack of tourists. But the food provided was flavourful and priced economically. The best part was the view from the room - being November the sky and clear and provided us unhindered view of the Kanchendzonga. In fact, the view is the same from any hotel you stay in Pelling. The beauty of Pelling is defined by the view of the Kachendzonga.…
