A very very hospitable staff..⭐⭐ They packed my wine bottles which remained secure in the flight. Food was good... too.. . They had nice soup and snacks. . paragliding happens right next to the hotel... There are some decent eating places very close to the hotel including a very nice bakery. Next to the hotel there ie a little cafe too.. p. s. just no lift.
We had booked a trip in Sikkim for 6 nights, of which we stayed 2 nights in The Pelling Resort, Upper Pelling. We were received by Abhirup and team. They took care of all our requirements and never forgot to put a smile on their face when they did so. The ambiance of the hotel was very nice. It never goes without giving special thanks to the chef of the hotel. We tasted some remarkable and delicious cuisines with taste off the charts. We’ll be happy to revisit Pelling, enjoying the stay at The Pelling Resort in our future trips.
Very neat & clean rooms .superb view.food was very tasty. They prepared jain food for us and it was very fine. This resort hotel is at very peaceful location. Thanks to our Hemsang Travels gangtok for booking this hotel for us.
Pros: Hotel rooms(including bathrooms) are very big. There is plenty of space to move around inside room. Restaurant serves only Veg but very tasty food. I have given one extra star for food quality & presentation. Hotel staff is well behaved & prompt. Cons: Hotel location could have been better. Areas surrounding hotel gives you a feeling that you are in midst of a rural landscape. Power backup is an issue. I was surprised to know that even after so much power cut, they didn't have power generator. Battery backup provides only lighting. Hot water is an issue if there is no power in the morning.
The hotel has spacious rooms. Our room had a bathtub. The interior has been done with wooden panels. The promoters have spent on the physical infrastructure in terms of well-lit rooms with mountain views and bath fittings. Clean room, pleasant staff. Pooja, a young girl as the in-charge in a difficult terrain does a sterling job. Power was erratic. Inverter provides for two lights but no hot water. The hotel serves 'Pure Veg', which was a huge disappointment. Agoda should have made it more explicit. More than half the items in the veg menu were also not available, as we were the only guest in the hotel at that time. One of the items was bland and tasteless, while others were better. You can watch the famous Buddha statue from the hotel, only about 1.5kms from the hotel. You wake up to the view of snow-capped mountains - all a sublime bliss! For a hotel which charges so much, I believe heater should be provided at no extra cost, especially when power is unreliable.…
