The hotel is very far away from Pelling town, almost 10 kms away. We reached at almost 7.30 pm after a lot of trouble finding it. The rooms though big were very poorly maintained and need a desperate revamping. The facilities and ambience is way below average. The rooms have an old unkempt look to them. However the views from the property are spectacular especially the view of the Kanchenjunga mountain range as seen early in the morning. The surrounding gardens were in full bloom which kind of cheered us up after the initial shock. If the management would look into the maintenance this would be a beautiful property given the surroundings and views.

I had stayed in Summit hotel at Lachung before this & there definitely are issues regarding maintenance, the hotel atmosphere , you just don't feel at home & comfortable. The food here was unpalatable, Please look into this as I have seen many reviews on this. The bathroom needs lot of improvement. Geyser was not working on the day we reached after a long drive from Gangtok, this is not acceptable. Of course next day morning we got hot water in buckets & the geyser got repaired later. Somehow the personal touch is missing in Summit hotels. After staying in 2 Summit hotels, will definitely give a miss the next time & try other options.

The hotel rooms are not maintained. The electricity keeps tripping. They won't give you a remote to switch on the Tv. The Geyser doesn't work at all. The staff is good but facilities are damn poor. It is a waste of a place if not maintained.

The property was beautiful but the service was terrible and inhuman. After knowing the circumstances we fell into, you will be giving a thousand thoughts before you give it a visit. Here are the list of things - 1. We were a large group of pax, around 22 people. So we gave order of 10 plates chicken. But they refused to give this amount of food and gave us only 4 plates. 2. They refused to provide any lodging or fooding to our drivers. And the most disappoint and inhuman thing was they refused to let our drivers use their washrooms. ( After several arguments they finally gave the food and washrooms but changed a high price) 3. We had taken 8 rooms, out of which geyser and electric kettle was not working in 4 rooms. 4. They refused to serve morning tea in the room 5. The food is not as good considering the high price of it. 6. TV and wifi was there but not working at all 7. When we complained such things they asked us to give review in TripAdvisor. Imagine how unprofessional they are 8. When we rang the room service bell no one has come at all. DO NOT VISIT WITH YOUR FAMILY.
