Stayed here for 2 days... guest should take into consideration that Pelling is a small hill town located at an altitude of 7,200ft. Spacious room, they provide 2 blankets which is a big relief since it was 4 degrees C when i visited. Hot water is very much available and the food is just like home-cooked meals - warm and decent. The rooms are cold so definitely, guests should wear warm clothes. The staff is very accommodating and supportive, the common balcony offers a magnificent view of Kanchenjunga. Decent stay.

One of the best hotel in lower Pelling. from the room we have see Kangchenjunga, and rooms are specious also. food quality also good, but choices are limited. We are fully satisfied with their services.

Hotel swagat leading by manager Rony Sk is unique in all senses. Their friendly behaviour, food,services and attention to their guests are excellent in all respects. I must tell everyone to try once if they want to visit pelling in Sikim.

Hotel room : Spacious and that's it. They will give you one towel and small medimix soap. Whatever might be the length of your journey you have to live with that. Very old rooms built at least 15 years back and still managing with same old rooms. TV : It is there but no cable connection. Intercom : Not present Room service : They will ask what do you mean by that ? Food : Even if you ask one slice extra bread or one extra egg they will right away say NO. Wifi : You will get an answer, i quote "Its a remote area sir, so wifi is not there" Electricity : It can go whenever it wishes and no generators They say they charge 1500 (for room and breakfast) during off season. Really dont know what is that for ..... Waste of money and you will face all kind of embarrassment. So think 10 times before booking it. My stay was there for 2 days from 5th to 6th of September 2019.…

Most apps show this hotel as 2 star which is misleading. I booked through Goibibo being 2 star hotel but feel cheated. Hotel is just basic budget hotel. No Wifi, no lawn, no sitting area, no 24 hr restaurant- all this shown on booking apps is misleading.

The building from outside looks all bright and shining. Don’t be fooled. I would not even give it 1 star. It’s by far the dirtiest hotel I’ve hit upon. The carpets in the room are not cleaned in atleast over 4 years. Visible dirt on carpets, bed and the bathroom was the worst... there was feaces.. actual human feaces on the floor. The tv has no channels running and the main door to the room would not close until you leap and kick it some 20 times. No towels, no extra frills. Spent the night curled up on a dirty old chair on the fear of bed bugs. Do not book this place...! The staff is polite but doesn’t care about anything. The manager is extremely arrogant and doesn’t think guests booking a deluxe room is worthy of respect.

Moderate Budget Hotel -This is a budget hotel with home ambiance. The manager was very courteous and helpful. Food quality is good, just like a "food from our kitchen", Finally an average hotel with home ambiance without luxury.

We were in Pelling for two days from June 6th to 8th. As the first leg of our journey from Bagdogra to Pelling was delayed due to some issues with the driver ,we were very apprehensive and tired when we reached hotel Swagat at 10 in the night. But the warmth of the hotel manager and the boys there put us at ease.The room we were given had a nice view of Mt .Kanchenjunga and as luck would have it the sky was clear the next day morning and we had a terrific view of the Kanchenjunga mountains from our balcony,and could see a beautiful sunrise too. The hotel owner who is a retired army officer was very cordial and kind.Be it food,water or whatever we asked for,it was given without the slightest delay. I wanted to have cooked vegetables and they were kind enough to give it to me the way i had asked for. The three boys who were there in the kitchen and who carried our luggage to and from the room were very cheerful . I was really impressed wid the rooms and it's conditions...must say impressed wid the rooms their people and their services.... Only one complaint is that the food is not up to the mark...But one can get best food near the hotel...It's name is bhansaghar resto bar.... Amazing xperience...Keep it up👍👍👍😀😀😀
