Very basic hotel. The only reason we booked was since it was only for a night stay after coming from Lachen and then heading out early to next place.
Pros: Staff is polite, hardworking and helpful. Food was simple vegetarian but delicious with a homely touch.
Suggestions for improvement: There was a noisy stream next door to our side of the room. Windows could be better sound proofed. Parts of the hotel require painting and touchup.
Tips: If intending for few days trip in Lachung then there are better more luxurious hotels. If only transit like us then it's an ok place to only spend the night. Pick the good rooms on the higher floors if staying here.

If you really want a true home like care, I strongly advise staying here. Most courteous staffs who take care if you like family ( they cooked for us at 4 am without asking). It’s such a nostalgic and unparalleled experience that we decide to come back often just because we felt so belonged. Awesome homely hot food, all sanitized clean sorrounding and a great homely staff. I would rate it as 5 star rating

I visited this hotel in Oct'21 traveling with family and stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is decent and located in Katao road (you need to cross the bridge and take a right). There is a beautiful river at a walkable distance from the bridhe and an open area with a ' I love Lachung' sign for some nice photograph.
We stayed in a triple room which comes with a double bed and a single bed. Sunce we were 4 persons, another sofa cum bed was provided to us. The room was spacious amd in first floor with a beutiful view of the imposing mountain right opposite of the hotel. The mountain also had a nice waterfall. We could see snow capped peaks right from our room.
The staff is very polite and helpful, especially Kumar (called Kaka by the other staff) and they helped us make our stay really nice. Food was served at the dining hall and consisted of pure veg. But it was tasty overall with choice of rice/roti, daal, two sabzis, a soup and a gulab jamun (dessert).
Overall a decent property considering the remoteness of the place.

Lachung is the second town/village tour while travelling North Sikkim. This is the pit stop for visiting areas like Zero Point, Yumthang Valley, Hot Springs, etc.
This is a newer property and you could smell the fresh paints when entering the room(personally I like the smell of fresh emulsions, if you’re allergic check in advance).
As with the Lachen property of Rufina, this is also has standard amenities like geyser, 2 quilts and a decent bed.
The windows in the hotel rooms were not locking properly and the topmost window sill didn’t close completely as a wire was going outside of it. In such freezing temperatures that is a challenge. Though if you close the blinds you might get some protection.
The food standard and quality is okish with minimal spread like what we got in Lachen.
Overall the rufina properties are quite alike. If you find one good, the subsequent ones will have the same features as the previos.

we were there in last week of march.the front facing rooms have a superb view. the food quality was very good. they provide electric heaters on a chargable basis. neat and clean poperty.the side viwe rooms aree small in size but good for a couple.front rooms have a extra bed facility.

Decent accommodation with lovely view of waterfall. We stayed for a night.
Located near Lachung river and Lachung Monastery.
Dinner was nice. They packed us our breakfast which was ok.

We (a group of 3 people) stayed for 1 night in November 2021 during our trip to North Sikkim. At the time of check-in, there was construction going on in the hotel which meant access to the restaurant was almost completely blocked. Perhaps they could have done it some other time or during off-season. The room was spacious but quite a lot of things were missing -- a waste bin in the bathroom/toilet, toilet paper, floor mat outside the room or near the door, to name a few. The staff were polite and helpful though.

We stayed in this place(Lachung Deezong) and it was good experience. The service was excellent, staff out their was extremely helpful n room was very comfortable n food were awesome. I highly recommend ppl for pleasurable trip as hotel is at excellent location.

Splendid location at foothill. Friendly and supportive staff. Excellent food. They even pack the good breakfast for you as many would leave early morning before breakfast time to visit zero point...overall highly recommend for visitors to Lachung
