The hotel is easy enough to find, particularly with SatNav but as another reviewer points out the name is "Hotel-Restaurant Amandois" and also shows the logo of the chain of which it belongs, "Logis", which in many respects is easier to see, particularly as the frontage/entrance is rather uninspiring. One feels that one is actually entering an office or shopping...

As a frequent traveller I have come to experience many hotels over the years. The Hotel L'Amandois is generally a good hotel and meets all the basic requirements that one would have for a short stay. In the summer the lack of air conditioning in the rooms can make it more uncomfortable and difficult to sleep, however fans can be...

Easy to find as it fronts the main square. Despite the rather dull exterior, this hotel is quiet, clean and newly renovated. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is private parking at the rear. An excellent base for visiting the chateau and museums in this area. A very helpful Tourism Office on the far side of the square....

Warm reception, good English spoken by receptionist. Comfortable room & bed. No a/c, but very quiet fan was effective.Good evening meal and breakfast. Recommended for a stopover on the long journey between Calais and the south of France. More expensive than some of the cheap places I have used for this purpose before, but worth the extra.

Certainly a comfortable room and hotel, staff friendly. The private parking is a boon. However, when asked on arrival by the receptionist for a credit card I firmly ensured it was just for security purposes as we were paying our way using cash. When asked to enter my pin I assumed any security deposit would be refunded when we hadn't...

For some strange reason (probably the first reviewer) this restaurant is shown by the name of the town on Trip Advisor. The proper name is as above. This is a decent hotel with good sized, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. There is private parking, which is reached from the street behind the hotel. The restaurant is excellent and very reasonably...

There is very little to choose from in the way of hotels in Saint Amand Montrond. We chose the hotel since it was centrally located and had an elevator. The entrance to the hotel is a bit odd. You go thru a store front to get to the lobby, which is tiny. There are no common rooms or any place...

I stayed in this hotel, which is actually called Hotel L'Amandois, for 4 nights in order to attend a business meeting in the town. It was a very pleasant stay, everything is right at this hotel - the staff are uniformly pleasant, cheerful and helpful - no French shrugs or scowls here! The bedroom was of a good size, well...

Although the hotel is unremarkable from outside and the decor is plain inside, the room was functional, very clean and well appointed. Parking is excellent, outside the back of the hotel. The welcoming and efficient receptionist who also doubled as a waitress could not have been more helpful.Dinner was superb value and really well cooked: the chef clearly took pride...
