Was passing through Salem during a road trip and needed a place to freshen up and rest. This is where I ended up after searching throughout Salem's hotels that were either fully booked or unreasonably expensive for 12 hours of stay.

One important like factor was that the hotel had a covered basement car parking - unlike many other such budget hotels where your vehicles need to be parked outside.

I took a double occupancy AC room - the staff were helpful and quite courteous. They showed me the room before I took it and immediately provided a bill and carried my luggage.

The rooms were big and also clean. The TV worked and the AC worked. The beds were soft and there was enough space for storage. The bath was decent - not big nor too sparky clean but was fine for a quick fresh up.

The hotel has a restaurant at the basement - a small restaurant but good enough. Though they take time to serve, it was fine because it was clean and again the staff were courteous.

On the whole, for a budget hotel this one exceeded expectations.

I had booked this property for an overnight stay . The front office staff is nice and welcoming . The rooms for a change were actually as big as the pics that were being advertised. The bathrooms were big and clean , the bed was nice and comfortable.
They also have a Vegetarian restaurant .The breakfast buffet spread is limited but some of the items were quite nice but it can be better . It is located well and there are other restaurants nearby at walk able distance or call an ola cab and travel to a restaurant of your choice like we had done .
Cons is we found that the TV sound from the next room was audible , ( considering that this is one tenth the cost of a Hyatt room where even conversations of the next room was audible quite excusable as far I was concerned )
Also most rooms , if not all don't have any view from the windows( view is a wall) .
Overall this place is good value for money .Would definitely recommend it for a budget stay.

I paid 1511 for a double room with breakfast , online. We have never had luck with budget hotels, and the only reason we chose this was that there were no Poor or Terrible reviews. Huge rooms, nice bathrooms, good beds, friendly staff (Tamil or sign language for waiters.. all languages at Reception), ample closet space, quick room service. I was impressed. Only thing is that the hot water in the shower could have better pressure... I would definitely recommend this for an overnight stay on a budget.

Stayed at AMR Evergreen over the weekend. We booked the rooms over the internet through a third party as they don't have their own online booking facility. 24hr check in. Free wifi (but it never connected during our full stay). The hotel has 2-3 halls which are ideal for small events. (I guess the hotel is famous for these halls as there were 2 events going on when we stayed). The room rates are fine with a free breakfast buffet (South-indian) Free for kids. The rooms are clean and done up bright. The hotel location is good. Just opposite to KFC and close to Adayar Ananda bavan, Anjappar. Lots of shops closeby. Close to the bus terminus.

The negatives: Parking is underground and abit tight. Can park abt 8-10 cars. Busy location and space constraint so no room view. You get to see a big solid wall. The bathrooms in the hotel are renovated but the cleaning staff are doing a REAL bad job. There's fungus all over the walls (especially behind the doors and near the loo) and hand shower (absolutely gross!!). Bathrooms need to be scrubbed well.

The restaurant food is good but service is TERRIBLE. Waiters just whizz past you and its a race to get the menu order out before he runs off again. Really your waiters need alot of training. They maybe understaffed, but its pathetic service. We had a bad experience with a waiter who kept running off in between taking our order (he ran off 10times before taking our order) ! Highly frustrating.

The house-keeping staff who came to set up an extra bed was clumsy. He did the bed up with his foot wear on and practically stepped on the bed a few times and got it dirty too.

I stayed in Salem for a day trip to yercaud. Apparently, this hotel was worth for the money because i stayed in single room for 3 adults and 2 young ones. The room was splendidly clean and spacious. Bathroom was tidy and nicely designed. I booked an executive room for the price of Rs.2747 with free breakfast. Though everything was good, they failed to take care in the buffet breakfast- the choice was very limited and the time we entered to the restaurant before 9am, nothing was left over. However, their veg dishes at dinner was superb.

Tips- Rooms at the back side is calm.
