The so called Deluxe Room with AC is the worst room which we have ever stayed. This is not meant for human staying. The room was so dirty. Horrible service staff. AC did not work whole night. The charges are very high. Totally dis-satified.

This is not a hotel.... just a lodge.. They don’t have a front desk team, they don’t have a house keeping team ... Good set of rooms.... Run by some random people who don’t have any basic understanding of what hospitality is.. Nearer to the bus station of Salem... will do good for an emergency stay... But value for money...? I doubt it.. Nothin special to recommend..

Behaviour of the person Rammohan at reception is awful. We stayed at another hotel in Salem the night before but never faced such behaviour. We came at 5.30pm but we had to wait for 45mins for the room to be ready. The person dint even check that we had booking in emerald ac room. He spoke very harshly to me without seeing my booking that I have to stay in standard room only. Was disappointing stay. Atleast see before u speak to Ur customers and when we entered he shooed us off saying we don't have any rooms please leave then after I showed my booking mail.He saw the diary. Then he said ok sit.And the check in time is 12.pm still when we came at 5.30 pm we had to wait.

We stayed here while we were travelling from Kerala to Bangalore on bike. It's an good place for budget stay in a good location in salem. Don't expect much facilities. Just a room for a stay. Negative aspect is that they don't have proper covered bike parking. I parked my bike in front of the hotel on road side.

We stayed at the Laila Palace [don't know about Laila Gold Palace] mid-Sept. It was convenient as it is close to the new bus stand, just walking distance. We just stopped for the night as we were just driving through. Though there is no restaurant, coffee/tea was brought very promptly to the room. The staff was helpful and cordial. The toilets are tiny.

We ve booked in online. .but they didn't allow to stay for the prescribed time. .especially front desk person was so irritating, rude , idiotic, useless..in night times they kept the TV sound very loud in reception. .we couldn't sleep properly. Even after we ve said to reduce the volume they didn't. . Worst hotel and worst stay in my lifetime. .

We landed up in this hotel thinking that it was the Best available for Rs.1100 near the New Bus stand, Salem. This is about a km. away from Bus stand.. Better to take an auto costing Rs 30/40. If one is very particular about proximity to Bus stand, better check into Juha Residency, which is just opposite to Busstand. Also very good restaurants like Saravana Bhavan are available closeby. The rates there for a comparably room is only Rs. 1176. As regards Laila Palace standard room is concerned, no major complaints. Room in the first floor was quite ok,though small.Neat and clean. All basic comforts were available and working. The service was excellent. The reception staff were friendly and helpful.Through them we had booked a taxi -Ganesan-and the rates were reasonable. The only problem is they don't have a restaurant, nor any good veg. restaurant is available nearby.
