Have been a repeat visitor and every visit overshadows the previous one. There are many great places on can stay at but makes every stay here so memorable and different is the personal care extended by the couple who run Citrus County. A rustic feel with all facilities one requires make the stay most comfortable. This is one place you must check out - and an assurance that there will be no regrets at all. Don't let this pass.

Nestled amongst acres of orange orchards this place is heaven. We stayed at Firdaus which is an extension of Citrus county (a 10 mins drive).
Rooms are very well designed and take care of all necessary comforts. We visited during peak winters and there were sufficient arrangements for heating.
The ambiance outside is fantastic with lawns, trees and orchards. The fireplace makes for very comfortable meals, sitouts and conversations.
Staff is outstanding and take great care of all your needs.
The food is top notch and Harkirat is an excellent cook. Endless orange juice and fresh fruits were definitely the highlights for us.
Harkirat and his family personally take care of all arrangements and he happens to be a fantastic cook too. We enjoyed the jungle walk and cycling around the property .
This is a place where you can listen to nature and soak in the vegetation and the environment. This is surely on our annual calendar now..

We stayed here for 1 night en route from Amritsar to Dharamshala as part of a tour organised by Audley. We got an air conditioned tent(!) and a very warm welcome from all the family and staff.
We were the only non vegetarians staying and had a fish dish prepared specially for us which we ate outside beside a fire pit. This followed several rounds of horsdoeuvres and was very well cooked. The owner insisted on taking us a tractor tour of his orchards and fields giving a real chance to see a quite different aspect of Indian life- rural Punjab.
We enjoyed our breakfast too.
Citrus County might not be to everyone's taste but we loved it.

For my wife's 40th birthday,we decided not to celebrate by doing the run-of-the-mill Goa or Dubai holiday with a bunch of friends, but instead booked ourselves a weekend stay at the Citrus County, a Homestay near Hoshiarpur. I was nervous about the quality of our experience especially since Punjab is not particularly known for its Homestays. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! Citrus County is a delightful gem. This charming Homestay, having nine well equipped and comfortable tents, is very well-run by the husband wife team of Harkirat and Jasween. Harkirat, the quentissential gregarious and fun loving Punjabi, organises wonderful experiences that makes your experience truly memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed our walks with Harkirat in his Orchards, where he described in detail, the several varieties of Citrus fruits being cultivated.
The picnics at their beautiful camp-site were lovely, with delicious food cooked live on traditional mud Chulhas, our boys playing with the farm animals, while we soaked in the beautiful environs and admired the not so distant Shiwaliks. The sumptous meals by the bonfire, gazing at the stars while enjoying a drink, were a perfect end to the splendid day out in the farms. Jasween is the perfect hostess, thoughtful and well organised, and the staff at their Homestay was polite and always eager to help. I also do recommend a visit to Hoshiarpur if one wants to experience a quaint Punjabi town, which is bustling with energy. All in all, a perfect way for us to celebrate my wife's 40th!

Our two families received the warmest of welcomes (literally!) with a bonfire and a wonderful dinner. Harkirat, his family and team are great hosts and looked after us like family... our afternoon at their other farm was so memorable. And the fresh orange juice at every meal was a treat!
The tents are very spacious and comfortable. Highly recommended :)

We went there in early March this year, a couple of families with young kids. Wanted to get a feel of the countryside, and more importantly get our kids to understand living beyond the city.
Right from the start, where we reached at 4 pm, but still had a delicious lunch along with a very gracious host, Harkirat waiting for us. Thumbs up to all the thoughtful experiences (visit to the nearby village, bonfire dinner in the forest, tractor ride, etc.) that made the visit all the more memorable. Add to this, the impromptu potato harvesting that we encountered one afternoon at a close by field, which for us as well as our kids was a unique experience. The quality and thought behind the menu for each meal, meant that even though the cuisine was essentially North Indian, we never felt that we were eating the same food every day. Tents are well appointed and comfy, and most importantly with housekeeping of a high standard. Our kids also enjoyed the little play area, and it was great to see them enjoy the ample spaces and nature. Would strongly recommend this place to anyone who wants a curated experience of the Indian countryside, coupled with the great hospitality of a host, who was always great company.

Have stayed in numerous hotels and resorts across the globe but the hospitality offered here is unbeatable. Away from the hustle bustle of city life, just 5-6 hour drive from Delhi perfect for a long weekend getaway. The temperature was much better than Delhi, it wasn't as hot as it's around Delhi. We had kids and a pet with us, kids loved staying in the Tent and plucking Nimboos, Keenus and Oranges from the farm.
They arranged a nature walk in the evening to a nearby dam, which was really scenic, the staff was really helpful, they accompanied us till top of dam with water bottles and glasses. The food served was delicious and fresh, as we were with kids we loved the home cooked fresh food specially the Candle light dinners.

We stayed 2 nights at Citrus and this was by far the most memorable part of our trip that also included Chandigarh, Amritsar, Dalhousie and Parwanoo. The kids were thrilled to have open space to play after being couped up in hotel rooms all over the place. The visit to the orchards and the food served there were amazing. We are really blessed to be able to experience life in rural Punjab. Fantastic concept and hope the place stays this way as we are really looking forward to coming back!

Citrus County is a little bit of green and orange heaven tucked away in Punjab. Comfortable accommodation, great food and extremely warm hospitality, it is the perfect get-away for city weary folks. To laze in the sun on the lawns, or walk through the orange orchards or go for a day trip to the Pong Dam - all the while gorging on delicious north Indian fare is the stuff of dreams.
