We stayed at Hotel Lake Shilloi during our final leg of the journey from Kohima, as we had a flight to catch the next day. The hotel is located at a central point near Clock Tower junction, adjacent to Vishal Mega Mart. We stayed at a standard Non AC room, however, the room had no windows and this was slightly claustrophobic. Though the room had basic amenities like geyser, fan above beds, cupboard, reading table, dressing table and had great services too, but without proper ventilation, it was depressing to stay. During our stay, the power also went out for a good 30 mins or so due to a short circuit and we had to come to the reception as we were plunged in total darkness. We had complimentary breakfast too and were given a choice among Aloo Parathas and bread toast, omlette.…
Dimapur is a transit point especially for Nagaland's capital Kohima. This is an excellent hotel - away from the crowded markets for a hot bath and clean bed. The breakfast is a la carte - but the make it well. Good place to stay.
This hotel is located in the circular road. The hotel is from 3 rd floor on wards. The rooms are clean and simply but adequately furnished. The service is good. The tariff is little on the higher side for this small town.
This property is located on busy road right in the heart of Dimapur city.Their standard rooms do not have windows. It was difficult to stand in such a room for more than 2 minutes. This information was not available when we booked the room online. I suggest they write this in their website so that travellers can make an informed decision. I should add the hotel graciously offered us a deluxe room. Rooms: rooms are smaller, they should provide reading lights above headboard area. Bath room: floor had cracks, the walls were not very clean; insufficient lighting-there was no light fixture above the mirror; finally he crudely placed drainage outlet was a sore in the eye. Restaurant: spacious, good ambience and very good menu. Waiters are polite and always smiling; thumbs up for…
As I love travelling exploring places, hotels never thought there is one back home with a world class service and the food is just WOW!! the pool make it to my surprise.I have to suggest this hotel if anyone from outside searching for a homely peacefull vacation.
Hotel Lake Shilloi is a small budget hotel in the small town of Dimapur. The rooms are small but clean and offer basic amenities. The staff is very helpful and attentive. The food is decent though the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired in terms of space and general quality. However, it is the most suited hotel for its price range in Dimapur.
This is very good hotel to stay in Dimapur. Newly built. Good restaurant. Service is also good. Friendly staff. They were quite helpful esp because I reached when demonetization took place in India. But they helped us out.
I stayed in this hotel for four days during my business trip. I booked the room with all three meals. The rooms are small with not so good outside. AC kept on getting tripped. After one odd time requesting housekeeping to fix the problem, I learnt to fix it on my own. I had to move out of the room and reset the MCB. The staff kept in reminding me of terms and conditions that I can order only fish or chicken. Prawns were not served to me as it was not part of the package. Swimming pool and health club were being renovated hence could not be used. Bar was good but glasses were smelling. Can't help it as there are not to many options in Dimapur for you to stay
Went for a dinner to there restaurant. The food was OK in taste but was greasy, a lot of oil was used in all preparations. So didn't feel healthy eating there. The ambience is great for a city like Dimapur, it was clean and spacious. They play live music on Fridays and my next visit will be on a Friday.
