I visited this resort with family for 2days and totally enjoyed our stay there.Best part Of the stay is to enjoy the natural beauty around as well as beach is at walking distance from there.Also rooms are clean and comfortable. Food is really tasty especially sea food is a must try.Also Mr Mayur personally takes special care of all the guests and is very open to any specific request in food. Care taker there is also extremely helpful. Definitely a must visit place for a vacation with family to enjoy delicious home cooked food surrounded by beautiful coconut trees.

We stayed at Gulmohar for 2 nights and 3 days and we enjoyed every moment there. It was an excellent experience overall.
Rooms are spacious and clean.
Good parking space
Open area for kids to play
Food quality was very good.
They do not have kitchen inhouse...But arrange for tea/breakfast/lunch/dinner as you wish.
Mr Mahendra was very co-operative and helped in every possible way for whatever we asked for.
Worth staying and recommending.

Peaceful....awesome service..clean rooms... Very polite and provide very good service.
Food is also good.we stayed there for two days.. We felt very relaxing.
Price is also reasonable its not costly. 😍

Believe me u won't regret going to this place this place is very close to shrivardhan beach & arravi beach.the food served here is delicious & they cook local cuisine.their seafood is worth trying.the beach there is very less crowded & gives u a feeling of serenity.if u want to spend quality time with family & friends this is the place.

We decided rather late on going on a short trip during the Diwali holidays and chanced on this lovely homestay , because the one that we wanted to book was full. Must say we were lucky at that , because we got a chance to stay at this amazing property and also interact with the kind and helpful owner Mr Bhoslae.
Talking about the property it's a nice and quite homestay a short walk away from the beach, though not the main beach , but i'd rather say it was a blessing to be away from the touristic crowd and still be able to enjoy the main purpose of going to a beach ( a nice swim )
The rooms are basic but neat and clean with a proper bathroom and toilet and also 24hrs hot water . There are only 5 rooms , so book in advance to aviod being dissapointed.
The owner Mr Bhoslae is a very kind and helpful man and took care of all our needs and also advised us places of intrest around and was genuinely intersted in our welfare and comfort. Special thanks to Mr Vasant too who is always there at the premises to take care of any of your needs.
There is no restarurant , but food is made as per your requirements. So you need to inform Mr Bhoslae in advance what you would like to eat in advance and he will have the same prepared for you . We had been to the fish auction which is a 5 minute drive from the property and a must visit for the unique experience . We also got some fish from the auction and Mr Bhoslae was kind enough to perpare the same for us. Food is fresh and prepared using fresh and local ingredients so was awesome in taste and flavour.
A must visit place if you are looking for peace and tranqililty!!

after going through all reviews we decided to book this resort for 3 nights.this resort is very neat &clean.The owner Mr Rizwan is very cooperative ,he personally attended us and asked whatever we needed, so that it could be available to us.Since we are vegetarian & eat very less spices,food was a big issue,but food was made according to our taste .Location is good, beach is at walking distance,in all we enjoyed our stay,and.will recommend this resort.

As the name suggests, its a family resort. No need to worry about safety and family privacy. Rooms are neat and clean. Owner Mr. Bhosale is very cooperative and provides everything you may need. The food option although not like a restaurant are hygienic and well prepared. Important thing is service is good and they arrange for a table right in from of your room amongst the trees, near the hammock. Also its good for peace loving people, away from the main beach and hotels which are crowded. The way to diveagar is also close to the resort, you can reach Diveagar within 30 mins. So a place where you can stay and enjoy both Shrivardhan and Diveagar. All in all a great family weekend destination.

Excellent! Gulmohar Resort is home away from home..neat n clean rooms, wonderful veranda outside rooms, A/c rooms....food good hygienic home made...hot water supply whenever you ask...Mr. Bhosale very kind to take care of guests...he also arrange for a cake as it was r anniversary..vasant care taker only person..always available...overall excellent..will visit again and have recommended others...beach is neat n clean...less crowd...water sports available...

I am an avid weekender who loves to go out quite often to relax and enjoy good food. Have been to almost all of the weekend getaways near Mumbai and Pune, but Shrivardhan has been an extremely pleasant experience.
Gulmohar is a neat and clean, beautiful and green place to stay (the pictures on this site are quite old and the place now has a lot of greenery). All the rooms are big with good sized bathrooms and facility for hot water. The food is homely with good Konkan flavors. Avid sea/non-veg foodies will love the economically priced meals here. Overall the place is a true value for money.
Both the partners of Gulmohar Cottage (Mahendra & Rizwan) are very friendly and give everyone a personal touch. Service is extremely fast (I was quite surprised with the speed with which we were serviced). The place has a good number of hammocks that you can use to relax under the shade of Coconut and beetle nut trees.
This cottage is a walking distance from the beach, however if you want to enjoy adventure sports, I would recommend taking your car out and driving about a 1 km or so to go to the beach. The beach has black sands however it has clean waters and the beach itself is very clean. Shrivardhan is the only beach in the Konkan belt that has been very nicely developed. It has a concreted walking track all through the entire stretch. This track has a lot of benches to sit and relax and also has sheds (that has UV protected sidings to give you a cool shade). During the night the beach looks beautiful when the entire beach line gets illuminated by the lights on the walking track.
I would highly recommend going to Shrivardhan beach (instead of Diveagar that is highly commercial and costly) and staying at Gulmohar Cottages.

This is a wonderful resort surrounded by coconut and beetle nuts trees, perfect for family as they cater families only...
Mahendra Bhosale (9822317533) and Rizwan both owners are very co-operative.. My Kids enjoyed a lot here. Care taker Vasant is also a caring guy. He ensured that I wont face any trouble during my stay.. Rooms and bothrooms are neat and clean..
I surely recommend this resort for family.. This is a very good option and also in budget but If you are looking for luxury I wont recommend this resort.
