I visited the resort with my children and grand children. It was very peaceful stay.Surrounded with palm trees, the place was very tranquil. Non a/c rooms have false ceiling,so it was very comfortable.Rooms were clean, with extra beddings and sheets .It is right on the beach,so we can go to sea at any time.Children enjoyed a lot in the play area.Owners and staff are humble.
Some suggestions:
Basic thali is served :chicken, fish, egg and veg. It's ok in the afternoon. But in the evening, afer a long drive or elderly people, would like to eat light meal but there wasn't any option.same thalis. When you are taking food orders well in advance,u can arrange some lighter options like kadhi khichdi, dal bhat, curd rice, veg.or chicken pulav.Similarly in breakfast u can replace poha with sabudana khichdi or upma/sheera.Please add sweet dish and solkadhi to the thali. When you will start serving 'dil se' you will see the results In Sha Allah, kyunki 'grahak bhagwan hota hai.'

It was a full family trip of 15 people. The hotel was basic but service and people were helpful. it wan on the beach and it fun.

it worthwhile staying in this small family-run hotel.

The owners and staff are social at just the right level and they go to great length to make you feel at home.

Thank you very much for making our stay so pleasant!!!

We spent 2 nights 3 days at the Subhan Beach Resort in Shrivardhan in Mid February 2021
The property is bang on the beach towards the northern side. I don't think any other property in the area enjoys this advantage of vicinity. We were three families and took 4 rooms. The AC rooms are slightly better than the non AC rooms, although they are both quite basic and strictly functional. The rooms are spread over a large area so may require some walking around, which is enjoyable though. Kids will also enjoy the swings and hammocks etc. Beware of the mosquitoes though. Better to carry some odomos or roll on repellants.
There is no facility of in room tea coffee maker, which can be a good addition.
I took my electric vehicle from Mumbai. I was able to charge the car overnight using a 15 amp plug point. EV owners may consider this property. Otherwise it is impossible to drive to Shrivardhan and return on the same charge.
You get breakfast lunch and dinner but there needs to be intimation well in advance. They also kindly cooked the first that we purchased from the fishing boats which come up to the beach.
The management and staff are very warm and cordial. They take care of the guests just like family members. Big thumbs up for that.

I am a solo female traveller & decided to stay here based on my friend’s recommendation, I stayed for a total of 7 days as I was completely in awe of the scenic surroundings. This place is prefect to unwind and recharge yourself, it is situated in the midst of coconut trees, and if you are interested the owners are kind enough to show you around the property and let you pluck the fruits, I did consume a lot of mulberries. The property has a breath-taking view of the beach, the resort is an absolutely safe and secure place. All the people I met during my stay were repeat customers, the owners are friendly, helpful and take good care of everyone.
The resort is serene and has a idyllic setting, away from the chaotic city life, you can sit on the swing for hours listening to the waves breaking on the shore, at night the entire place has a surreal feeling.

The breakfast served is basically poha, misal, omelette & tea, for lunch & dinner they have a thali(veg-roti,rice,dal & two sabjis) system, you need to convey your food needs in advance. They do accommodate your requests for certain dishes (noodles etc). They also have BBQ facilities.
For people travelling with kids they have swings, see saw, slides & hammocks to keep the little ones busy. They have wifi as well.

The only improvement I would suggest is better food options for vegetarian people.

we decided on booking subhan beach resort after going through the very few reviews available on trip advisor n some other websites.we were very excited about the fact that it was on the beach, had tree houses n cottages and the snaps on its website n tripadvisor were looking good. When we called up the owner he told us there were 2 types of rooms available- small room @ Rs. 850/- per day n large room @ Rs. 1500/- per day. we booked 2 large rooms for two days after negotiating the price to Rs.1200/-.We made a neft transfer of one days rent in advance.
We called up the owner after reaching shrivardhan and he guided us to the resort. Well the nightmare begins here......the resort is on the beach near the fish auction market so the whole place stinks of rotten fish. The beach is very very dirty and no one will like to walk on such a beach. The rooms were bigger mess....@ 1200/- we were offered a 64sq.ft room wide a wooden cot that wasn't even. The mattress was damp and stinking. There were sacks used as floor mats. There were no hangers in the bathrooms and no bulbs. the didn't had buckets so used paint cans instead. no flush system for potty and everything was dirty.
while we were deciding whether to stay or leave one guy from the neighbor cottage came out in towel shouting SNAKE SNAKE......there was a snake in his bathroom. the owner came n chased it away comforting everyone that it was a water snake n doesn't bite. along with humans there were snakes, frogs, dogs and there insects roaming around freely in the resort. One of the dog went and sat in the room we rented when the door was left open.
as i had a 3yrs kid and didn't feel safe staying in such place we decided to leave immediately. We informed the owner about our decision and he said we have to pay 50% of the next days rent as well even though we haven't stayed there for even an hour. We paid it and came out of the mess.
please check photographs for proof.
diveagar have much better options for lodging than shrivardhan.

I was looking for a family outing with my friends. Although rainy season has not yet started in June. Now let's go through each point which we look at while going out:

1. Location : This place is close to the beach, but beach is not visible from the room. You need to sit out. But this is located at the extreme end of the beach and is adjacent to the fisherman colony which makes the place too stinky and very dirty. If you are going without family, then it is just about OK to stay otherwise with Family it is strictly a big NO.

2. Cleanliness: This place is too dirty including the rooms and bathrooms. You can't even allow your kid to go out of the room alone and compromise the hygiene.

3. Drinks: We were looking to enjoy some drinks in open, but there is a big warning written on the beach that NO ALCOHOL allowed which however was neither conveyed at the time of booking nor instructed anywhere in the website.

4. Safety : There is no proper security or even fencing which makes it accessible to ANYONE and leaving pretty much unsecured. I was even afraid to open windows of my "NON-AC" room!

5. Basic amenities: This place doesn't even had basic amenities for which they were charging. A Non-AC room just had a bed and 1 table. When I enquired about TV, so the owner said, TV is there in Hall. No TV in room because of salty weather, so it can get destroyed. Bed sheets and mattresses were too stinky. Towel and soap were given only after requesting multiple times. There was not even mosquito repellent in the room and it was provided only after requesting.

6. Food: We ordered for food, and the veg food not even average, however non- veg food was just OK (not too great)! We ordered some French fries, and a paneer pakoda for starters. We were at the counter when the person mentioned that both are ready but it was delivered only after 1 hr, whereas because of which it had lost its taste and freshness.

7. Bed in Rooms: When we checked in , we saw that the bed is too small to accommodate 2 people properly. My family consisted of myself, my wife and my 1.5 yrs daughter. Almost same case for my friends(3 other families in this trip). Owner of the resort said it is a double bed, but it was a 4X6 bed. It can JUST accommodate 2 people, but if you have a kid, then either of the parent has to sleep on floor (which had lot of insects). When I asked the Owner regarding it, he advised that 2 people can sleep on bed and the kid can sleep on floor. And after fighting with him, he arranged for a wooden bed, to be added to this size 2X6. and height greater than the bed. But atleast something to add on.

8. Rates: The rates for the rooms are heavily over priced considering what was being offered to us in the name of "FACILITIES" and "AMENITIES". I paid around 1700rs, for a Non-AC room, with Zero amenities in it. and for 2 AC Rooms we paid 2500Rs each.

9. Helpless: When we reached there, my car got stuck in the sand since the only entry to this resort is via the beach. Because of this we were helpless and was in no mood to go out, even though we were looking to get few things. I had paid for this place in advance(around 2k) as we were travelling with family, otherwise I would never have stayed here. and by the time we reached it was almost 4 PM.

I visited this place after 11 years, been here when this was newly built, that time only 4 rooms were there of which 3 were built on trees, right on the beach this place is awesome, when I visited now the place is changed now and you have good A/c rooms and restaurant, we were there for 2 nights and our stay was fantastic. Food is good.

First thing first...the entry to the so called 'resort' is from the beach only. Yes! You have to drive onto to the beach sand, drive on across from the point of entry towards the property for approx. 800mtrs to get inside the resort's parking. This was in itself a crazy experience as the car just starts to swerve around on the wet thick sand. You can experience it as a cheap thrill to rally driving :-) ... We were 5 friends and took the large non-ac room. Though room was large, there is nothing except for the d/bed on one corner n a washbasin in the other. Clean bu smelly room. Bathroom and Toilet are separate with absolutely low quality of tap/broken rusty shower. WC was clean but badly fitted. Somehow the owners think that you walk into the toilet not wearing anything below....Yes... nothing to hang your shorts/lowers/pants. No hook/no rod..nothing! So you go inside and shout out to your friend to take the lowers and when done, hand it back in. No soap provided. Forget about towels. Get everything yourself. Even the cheapest of hotels generally provide you with the small 'medimix' soaps. That's quite cheap. Anyways..moving on... the one area in the 'resort' has a couple of hammocks.. 1 is so old that i'm sure someone middle-aged guy (if they are still coming back) can say..."i've have been using this since i was 9yr old" ...the 2nd one is broken. The 3 wooden swings are again, of very low quality and ill maintained. If you sit on the 3rd one, you should be lucky if you get without getting pinched by the 2 wooden planks shifting when you raise yourself up... other 2 are dirty not to be even looked at. The outside showers are again so old n rusty that the water flow in all direction but on your body....crazy!! The dining area .... wooden tables have been clamped and hammered to join some different kinds of wood. I guess everytime something breaks, it is fixed by adding a wooden piece bought randomly from the cheap wood store. The chairs are plastic with no height relation to the table... you can be sure that you cant reach your plate as you cant push your legs below the table .. there are wooden planks fixed at that height. So if you are above 5ft 6-7" you can't decently to eat. EAT!! - the food is fixed menu served on the table. Non-veg - chicken curry - pathetic + yellow daal - worse than pathetic + chicken fry - excellent + chappati - ok + boiled rice - low quality no taste rice! You have to ask for spoon, salad - onion and lemon. Nothing else. Verdict - below average dinner. Now the most interesting part - if you'r dining, DONT LOOK UP!!! Why??? there are huge cobwebs with big spiders that are more active than you at that time. Yes, due to the lights there are enough bugs/insects for them to dine along with you. There is no pepsi or coca cola products sold, no some local soda! Now the breakfast... Tea cups are kept in open... they just pick it n put Tea and give it to you...cleaning! Who cares!!! Omelette - the most pathetic that i tasted... no salt no pepper...some big chopped onion and green chillies added... and they are proud of it. Ketchup is local...you can immediately know that it has everything except tomatoes. Post check-out, we spent rs. 300 to have breakfast at a kiosk in Harihareshwar that was sooo good, fresh and tasty. My final verdict - IF SOMEONE OFFERS ME THIS PROPERTY FOR FREE, I WOULD NEVER GO AGAIN!! Period.
And most importantly, the beach has a permanent oil spill from the fishing trollers... so its black oil mixed sand n sea water is so damn smelly ... not even the beach is worth going into for even 5mins. Bye Bye Srivardhan Beach... Never Again :-(
