Overall I would say the place is not at all value for money considering the rates they charge and service they provide(or the lack of it!). The staff has no orientation in hospitality. Basic curtsey like opening the gates for the guests to drive in is missing. The manager simply stands by watching guests get out of their cars, open the gates and drive in. No use expecting him to help you carry your luggage to rooms. In the canteen you have to ask for basic cutlery like spoons and glasses everytime. Food portion size is small for the price. The servers are quite stingy.Taste was so so. Room was clea. However there were big ants in the toilet. We had to spray toilet with water to get rid of them before every use. We asked staff to clean the washroom, but that didn't solve the problem, not did they do anything to solve it. The owner doesn't seem to care about the service or the property either. Whatsapp feedback received no response. The only time he responded was to share bank details for money transfer. Only plus was access to the beach.…
Me and my wife [both senior citizens] spent 14th to 16th February 2022 at this resort. In short, the resort completely satisfied all our requirements. Positives: [1] Location: Away from other crowded and noisy resorts. In fact, Solitude is the only resort in this area. The property is just next to the beach. From our room, the beach was just 50 meters away. The beach is slightly rocky in patches, and one needs to be slightly careful, but that is OK.[2] Service: The Solitude team quickly grasped what we required, and provided it. They were enthusiastic, without being intrusive. [3] Food: Wonderful stuff! All local inputs, and local style of cooking. Gentle on the stomach, yet tasty. Everything was freshly cooked. A haven for sea food lovers.[4] Room: Spacious and clean. The rooms were cleaned daily too. Negatives: We could not find any! We took a drive around the sea front through Dighi. It was a nice drive. An additional observation: The resort employs local people. This provides them with a livelihood, and it provides visitors to interact and learn about local life. Hope to visit Solitude again, sometime soon.…
I have been to this place at-least twice in last couple of years and I have never been disappointed by the place. The recent experience was a year back. when we went to this place for a weekend, we checked into the place on a Friday afternoon and didn't move our vehicles till Sunday afternoon. The best thing about this place is the ampleness of place and it's proximity to the beach. It's right on the beach where the river meets the sea so during low tides you could enjoy floating on the water and during high tides you could enjoy the waves. The rooms are good and the place has very decent food. The other best part is that this is the only resort in the village and the villagers come down to make the authentic local cuisines for the guests. All in all I would definitely recommend the place to any planning for a weekend getaway…
I stayed here with my family. The property is slight away from hustle bustle crowdy Diveagar. It is best for families who want just their own space on beach. The property is huge and they have good amount of cottages/rooms. The rooms are clean and tidy. The washroom is clean, though there was slow flush in my washroom. They have inverter facility so when power goes at least fan keeps on moving. There is very less staff on the location. For everything you need to get in touch with their manager (Santosh) who is cook as well as manager. There are two gates to enter this property. Gate 1 was closed hence i entered through Gate 2, there is no one to open the gate, you yourself needs to open it and enter. The property has dedicated covered parking slots for your vehicle. The food seems a bit costly as compared to its spread. The Veg thali we ordered (Rs.150) was not having sweet, though the food is unlimited. For non veg you need to tell them prior to your visit. They have breakfast menu from which you may select few items and tell them previous evening itself. The main attraction of this property is beach. Just walk few steps through the gate and you will witness a serene beach of Velas Agaar. There is not a single soul in sight. The beach is clean and kids can have fun in it. Its a great place to enjoy with your families. Do give it a try !! Note :- 1) This property neither have any website nor online booking hence everything needs to be done via phone call. 2)They don't have anything (a string) to dry your cloths so you need to carry your own along with you. 3) They provide packaged drinking water (Rs.20/ bottle). We have used normal water which we felt was ok to drink. 4) As per manager the bookings are strictly given to families only. 5) Outside this cottage there are few eateries (Khanawal) in homes where you can have your food as well.…
As the name suggests, if you are looking for a couple of days of peach and tranquility, then this small place is just the one for you. They have about 10-12 rooms , 2 per cottage , spread on a decent area. The property opens on the beach directly which is pretty crowd free so you can enjoy the ocean with some privacy. The rooms are clean and have a decent verandah to just sit and relax. They have a couple of hammocks in the garden and a small children play area. They dont have a fixed menu and is prepared fresh as per order, so you need to order in advance. The service was good and staff was friendly. Diveagar is close by and also the Janjeera fort. The drive to Janjeera from the cottages is very nice and highly recommended.
The place is beautifully located for people looking for a getaway to a beach without the regular hustle & bustle. The cottages are simple & clean...serves the purpose. Watch out for unwanted guests like lizards, honey bees or frogs :P. Food is made by a staff consisting of a couple of local people from the village. The resort is practically on the beach. The beach, not the cleanest...but is calm & serene with only the people from this resort. The property boasts of numerous palm & coconut trees that also attracts a variety of birds. All in all a great place to be if you seek Solitude.
