Tapola itself is a third class place to be! After travelling 25 Kms from Mahabaleshwar, what we found was a place destroyed by burning entire hills. The temperature was 40 degrees C and worst facilities. See some photos attached

I had been with friends all males trip for a chill out. This hotel should be necessarily avoided even if they give you a free stay. The tents in a relief camps are better. They ask for 1200 per pax and provide you half single bed. They say 3 people have to sleep on 2 single cots. The bathroom is...

The owner Prashant is very good and co-operative. I went there when he had renovated the tents. The place is good it has average to good food. People serving you are also good and co-operative. The view from the tents is very good and mesmerizing, we enjoyed our stay even though it was raining heavily. We had got a free...

Tapola is 30 KMs from the popular tourist filled hill station of Mahabalesshwar. It is named after the lake that surrounds the hills and trust me you will feel like you are in Scotland when you see Tapola from the hills. And here in Tapola is where Tapola River Camp is situated along the lake. There are many jungle camps...

Wonderful break from the hustle bustle of the city, being away from Mahabaleshwar town. It had already become dark when we were trying to reach there, hence had some trouble locating it. Next day we woke up early and went to the lakeside which was covered in mist. Maybe this is why this place is called mini kashmir. Then we...

Towards the evening bonfire was organized by the resort along with music. Dinner was average....

Awesome location - good proximity to lake and well managed boating services on the lake. Food for 1st 2 days was really good. But we were made to wait endlessly for our breakfast on the last morning of checkout and the quality of breakfast (misal) was bad. Also, they didn't provision anything for kids although we were the only family...

Tapola is a beautiful and unexplored place. We got a reference of this place from a friend and decided to try it. It was just some office colleagues for a weekend getaway. While checking the places to stay at Tapola, we came across some options for River Camps. Out of these, one was Koyna Agro Tourism. I went through the...

There were Satara, Kaas, Tapola, Pratapgad, Raigad on our list so we had booked a tent for 1 night stay at Koyna Agro basis its rating. The tent was spacious; beds and bedsheets were clean. It was hot in the afternoon so we requested for a fan and they arranged for the same. Food was not fancy, but was simple...

We went to Tapola (back water of Koyna Dam) via Mahabaleswar and stayed at Koyna Agro tourism and River Camp. It's about 25 km away from mahabaleswar near to back water of Koyna dam. Initially we had a filling that where we have come after seeing the entrance of the place. But my perception changed once we entered inside the...
