Well let me put it as getting in and out off the property had always been a challenging task thanks to the unplaved almost 1-1.5 kms of the approach road to this property. Trust me it’s not for the faint hearted ! More so if you love your car ! An Off Roading Experience in itself ! But once you were at the property the staff just took care of you in every possible way ! This was our 4th visit to Mahua Baug. Having experienced what we had over the last 3 visits in as many years ..made us come back again n again. Appproach road not being a deterrent . This time we had booked 2 rooms 3 nights each from Nov 3-6. 4 adults with 4 kids (3 less than 5 years and one 10 years old) Plans were to celebrate Diwali away from home at a homely place. Kids came all prepared with their play tents / games / crackers etc looking forward to a wonderful holiday at Mahua Baug Having left Mumbai home early around 7 and reaching Mahua Baug by almost 13.00 hrs with some halts in between we were a tired lot. Meanwhile the approach road hasn’t improved a bit over the years and on the contrary detoriated a bit more this year after monsoons. Up one arrival we were informed that the lunch is ready. So after keeping our luggage n freshening up we moved towards the dining area …that used to be below a mango tree with nicely laid table n yummy food along with a hammock or 2 for relaxing pre n post meals ! It is then we realised what we had got into this time. The gardens were gone..so was the mango tree all we saw was long grass and a property in shambles. There was no sign of any maintainance. “Beyond Stays” the company currently running the resort screwed up our short vacation on Day 1 . Another factor that stood out this time was on the insistence on full Advance Payment while booking ! I was hesitant doing that but had to give in halving had no choice because of fixation with Mahua Baug. While I spoke to Beyond Stays customer care in Noida we meanwhile did start having our lunch …!which comprised of a Non Veg Chicken Gravy Preperation / Paneer for Vegetarians/ Dal / Rice /chapati / Salad n lastly some cold small gulab jamuns ! They agreed for a complete refund and deducted 3 k plus for the lunch we just finished. Holiday was a disaster .. to begin with ! More so with Diwali weekend a day away all resorts were now booked or had jacked up there prices to levels to beyond what sanity would allow! Finding an alternate resort for our planned holiday ..was a tough one ! Sharing set of pics that we clicked while on the property and a set shared by Beyond Stays while booking the property… See the difference for your self ..how they cheat you ! Do read the photo captions !…
We stayed here with family here. The cottages offer amazing view of sea beyond with all the privacy possible. Beach is near and koliwada just across the river. A quiet stay. The staff is very cooperative and the food was just amazing. One of the best stays we have had.
Stay at Beyond resort was one good experience. Resort located on rocky beach of mahua bagh which is 1.3 km away from murud-kashid road. There is an gravel road once you leave the road(P.S. avoid taking low ground clearance car like honda city). After reaching the place.. 1. Property has homely feeling. Interior and furnitures are of colonial designs. 2.serene and calm surrounding where you can feel cool breeze and listen to sound of waves from sea. There are beautiful mango trees also in and around the place. 3. No TV at rooms, however internet quality of airtel was very good(4g). 4. Amazing food but options are limited.trust me.. the food is very delicious and equally hygienic. 5. Prompt response from the caretaker(Mr. Ronit) whenever you ask for anything. They organise bonfire also on request. Overall a wonderful stay with some minor drawbacks(no in room dining, road from resort till highway). One must visit the place if he is looking for getaway from hassle of metropolitan life and enjoy some 'self' time in lap of nature.…
Visited January..2019..what a view..what a place..didn't bother to leave once..we were there..!! nice attached pool..I guess the weather played a crucial role in what I am writting..today..not taking away anything from the staff..they are all good..front desk..restaurant..housekeeping ..all..keep up the good work..enjoyed our stay..and as your suggestion..we are coming the rains..!! congratulations..!!
Although the distance from the resort is a little unsatisfying , the stay was enjoyable and was too indeed taken care . Need some cleaning to be done but as the weather is somewhat like that so maybe . But a visit to the resort is a must
It was an amazing experience with our family. Keep it up. Enjoyed holi to the max and also had my birthday celebrated over there. Just a little mess in the last about the rooms but everything else was amazing.
I chose this place for my 1st solo trip and what a glad choice it was. The rooms have large verandahs a view to the ocean. So I could sit there all day reading, sipping on coffee and gazing out. The room is spacious and well appointed with all modern amenities. In fact it's one of the coziest beds I have slept in. The beach is a 3 min walk thru the property and the resort arranged for evening tea on the beach. The food was also pretty good here. I would definitely go back...this time not so solo ;)
We planned a Trip to Shirdi, Nasik and Murud by a Tour Operator from 21st to 25th November, 2018. We booked two rooms for one night in shirdi and One in Nasik. In Murud she gave us V Resorts, thinking a Brand Name, we booked two rooms for 2 nights in V Resorts. Till We reached V Resorts in Mahua Bagh, Murud our trip was going excellent. We reached there around 5.30 pm when it started getting dark. There were no sign Boards, directions on the road. First We took the wrong road and went up hill adjacent to the cut we supposed to take. After going around two kilometers uphill we reached a village, they guided us to right path. We then came on the right path but it was a scary road, full of holes, bumpy kachha road, a very narrow road, on both sides there were very big plants of cactus, adding to scariness of the route. It is around 1.5 kms. The road leading to the so called resort is 2 kms of rough road full on small boulders, a small car will surely get damaged from the bottom by hitting the rocks. Once that kaacha raasta ends, you see a lot of fish boats parked. There is absolutely no beach but a rocky sea front, where fishing boats are parked and on the other side you will get the sight of people pooping. Definitely not a nice view. Once We enter the Resort we realized it is not a Resort it’s a Farmstay. We looked for Reception, there is no reception just a room which you can say office, a Manager was sitting there he received us and showed us the rooms adjacent to his office. It was another shock because The rooms he was giving us do not have even basic hotel amenities. There were: 1. Beds were hard boards. 2. Light was very less, we could hardly see anything. 3. There was no almirah, no mirror, no table ( all my suitcases and other things were lying on floor) 4. No TV 5. No Fridge 6. No Intercom 7. Curtains were just a thin piece of cloth hanging with holes in it. 8. Spider webs, insects, lizards in room. 9. Adding on to our shocks bathroom was in the backyard, outside the room. Bathroom had a roof but backward is open and back door opens in Jungle. Anything snake, lizard, frogs can drop in and give you company is bathroom. 10. The room we stayed had a back door, opening which you can see open land. The passage to that door is open at roof and once it's dark, we felt literally scared considering the open roof and the wooden gate is very old and feeble. 11. No hot water, no geyser. We thought of complaining and asked for change of room but that Manager told us that there is no other room available as they have only 10 rooms and all are booked. Anyways we thought chalo ab toh fas gaye, atleast we can enjoy with drinks and dinner there. But there was no room service, no ice, no cold water, no cold drinks, no snacks were available there. They have very limited Menu for dinner only. They served dinner in open garden with very less light. Not at all hygienic. There is no place for lunch/ dinner & hence it is organised on the lawn, breakfast & lunch is still ok on the ground but absolutely not dinner as there are lot many insects & no sufficient light & hence one will not know when the insect will fall in the food…. Surprisingly the Manager vanished after that, we could not complain him about anything. Then we called our Travel agent and told her to change our hotel. In the morning, from the guests staying in other rooms informed us the Milk Powder kept in the room is EXPIRED…….I could not believe my ears and checked in my room too. Oh my God they served us POISON. We met another Manager Mr. Rajesh in the morning. On telling all the complaints to him, he informed us that he is working there for the last two years and every guest comes there have similar kind of complaints, he always pass on every complaints to the Management but they don’t listen and do not get things rectified. We then went to have breakfast, another task for us, because of lack of staff we have to do self service. Thankfully we got another Hotel in Alibaug for 2nd Night and checked out V resort immediately. Only positive thing about this So Called Resort is that their courteous but minimal staff. We saw Ronit running everywhere with smile. Mr. Rajesh was also courteous. I suggest NEVER GO for this. Waste of Time and Money and lot of emotions get disturbed.…
Everything about this resort spoken to by the call center executive, the claims done are false. The photos are misleading and its not the worth to visit. On phone the executive makes you feel its a star category resort and worth the time and money, it isn't. False and misleading; 1. The entire resort is in a semi run down condition. There are only 4-5 people to run this place. 2. There is no security and no reception to start with. 3. The rooms are basic and not worth the cost and hype as shown. 4. There is absolutely no beach but a rocky sea front, where fishing boats are parked and on the other side you will get the sight of people pooping. 5. The nearest beach is 7 / 8 kms. 6. There is absolutely no facility in the resort and there is nothing around it. 7. The road leading to the so called resort is 2 kms of rough road full on small boulders, a small car will surely get damaged from the bottom by hitting the rocks. 8. There is no laundry and hence you will surely question the hygiene conditions of the towels, etc. There was no bed sheet provided so you end up directly using the thick quilt which has been used multiple times. 9. There is no basic amenities like a phone etc to call someone for some need, like water is a problem, or the electricity has conked etc. I can keep writing a whole lot more, there is much more. The only saving grace is the extra courteous staff who go out of their way to help you feel at home and yes the food is good. But a big thumbs down to the management and owners of this resort.…
This is called relaxing weekend place. Very good service. Love to plan another visit. Also food was very nice. Reasonable rate for special arrangement like candle light dinner. visit this place with nice view.
