Beautiful hotel and gardens. Our room was huge, very clean with a great bathroom. Staff is extremely friendly and helpline. Food in restaurant is great but service could be improved! The wine bar is a lovely spot with great cocktails... Perfect for a sundowner.

We spent three days using Castello Dal Pozzo as our base for exploring Lago Maggiore and Como and could not have been happier with our choice of hotel. The facilities where new and excellent. The staff was very friendly and attentative as you can expect from a 5 star place in Italy. Our children aged 1 and 3 where feeling...

I'm reading other reviews of this hotel and am just stunned as to what a few have said about no variety for breakfast or lacking in the service department! My husband and I stayed here after staying in many hotels in and around the Arona area, and this hotel just blew everything else out of the water! Our service was...

Lovely hotel, excellent spacious room and standard of bathroom modern and extremely well finished. Staff very friendly, dinner excellent. Beautiful location but when we stayed it was rather hot so the hotel would benefit from an outdoor pool.

We stayed at Castello Dal Pozzo for a week during our vacation. The whole stay was perfect from our arrival until we left the hotel. We stayed at a beautiful room in Palazzo where the reception is located as well. The room was tidied two times every day and the staff was always available to help us with anything we...

Positive: Newly renovated, refurbished and clean rooms. Negative: no Château atmosphere since the Castle is not even in the same property, Poor service level (restaurant, breakfast;), below standard breakfast quality, missing welcoming atmosphere and appropriate details. No place to have an enjoyable time. The value for money in the restaurant is rather poor. The Castello is just not what you...

It is a 5 star hotel and will get better when the swimming pool and spa are added as planned. There were a few issues with service, but we think it was more misunderstanding with the language and the staff recognised when there was an issue and knocked our drinks off the bill. So very good overall and in a...

A group of 18 of us stayed for a golfing holiday - with the others returning for a second year having enjoyed it so much the first time. The hotel is superb, all the staff being wonderfully attentive and the quality of the rooms and catering were all first class. If you are a golfer, there are some world class...

“My advice to you is: Hire a car. The hotel is beautiful and the location idyllic but it gets very costly very quickly if you have no wheels. Don't bother walking into the closest village for food as there's nothing to see and one below average restaurant. Visit the three Borromeo Islands in Lake Maggiore. Isola Bella is especially breathtaking. An unforgettable experience. Milan is also around 1 hour away on train. Worth doing.”
