We had an amazing week at the farm with our 2 daughters age 2&4. My youngest was very scared of animals at the start of the week but by day 6 she was feeding them! The cottage was perfect for us and had a lovely fox theme, my girls loved the toy box! Lots to do around the farm, we didn’t feel the need to go out everyday as there was lots to keep them busy! My daughters didn’t want to leave but were so excited to be presented with a young farmer certificate on our last day! We rebooked within 48 hours of being home.

We really enjoyed having Millie and Paige to stay. it was lovely that she grew so much in confidence over the week. interacting with animal is fantastic for a childs' development especially after the long periods of lockdown which we have had to endure over the past year! Also for them to have the freedom to run, play and be children again is so wonderful to see. We are so pleased that you would love to come back. Best wishes Carolyn, Carl, Tamzin and Nathan

Birchill Farm Cottages were beautiful, we stayed with 3 toddlers and they all loved the animal feeds and tractor rides. Farmer Tamzin is just wonderful. The family are so accommodating and have thought of everything for the kids in the cottage. We stayed in granary and it’s just beautiful. Thanks for a lovely long weekend 😊

We stayed at Birchill Farm in October 2020 and had a fantastic time. This was during the COVID pandemic but not in lockdown. The owners had a schedule for animal feeding adhering to social distancing and measures were taken to keep everyone safe. We were really impressed. Carolyn and Tamsin were engaging and fun at feeding times. In fact, our daughter insisted we bring Tamsin a gift from a day trip as they got on so well! The farm is in a wonderful location for many attractions, beaches and things to do within easy reach. The app the family provide was very useful to tourists. The farm is great for all ages and they accommodate smaller children so well with toys, books and kid friendly utensils (we have visited here 5 times since our daughter was 3!) We love the bespoke cottages that feel like a “posh home from home”! We have stayed in The Granary, Bramble and Elderberry (the latter being our favourite as my husband likes the wood burning stove) and we will be back again. A wonderful place to stay and relax in beautiful Devon.

Had a wonderful three nights stay at Birchill Farm, lovely cottage, clean, cosy and modern. Lots of fun activities for the kids. Booking process was very smooth, Carl & Carolyn provided all the info and are very friendly and welcoming hosts. I would definitely recommend a family holiday with kids or just a quiet break.

It was our second visit to Birchill farm and it absolutely exceeded our expectations! We stayed in hazel cottage - it was clean and Carolyn made sure we had everything we needed. As a family of four, our three year old and 1 year old had the best adventures once again - it was a perfect getaway for us all! We loved the animal feeding in the morning and the fairy walk and gnome garden were an added bonus!! Beach visits and lovely restaurants recommended by Carolyn all added to our stay too - we hope to return to Birchill again soon ! Thank you all !
