Probably the worst hostel you can do. Our room was full of insects with a big worm in the bed. We asked to change the room and it took us 4 bedrooms to find one with only a spider in it. The staff doesn't care at all, is not welcoming and the food is absolutely horrible for the price.

It is located half way in between the carpark/cable car station and site no.2. It's a nice walk up if you slow down and enjoy the scenery along the way. However, it is not so good place to stay if you want to go site no.3 (where cable car ends) cause you have to go almost all the way down...

Nice and cheap for backpackers. Dorm rooms only 30 CYN. Rooms with aircon and warm showers. Only downside is the squat dunnies. Takes maybe 40mins to walk there from the carpark where the buses drop you. You can pay an old lady to carry your bag if want otherwise just walk through the first village which is down in the...

We really enjoyed our stay at Dazhai IYH. It was a bit hard to find the way to the accommodation from the bus drop so we had to ask many locals on the way who all were really friendly and pointed us towards the right direction. It is a 30-40min walk through the rice terraces - if you have heavy...

i think the official name for this is Dragons Den Hostel in Dazhai, which might explain the lack of reviews. Really gorgeous, authentic hostel (bring earplugs, it's traditionally built in the indigenous style which means no sound proofing or modern insulation, a small price to pay and we were travelling with a baby - nothing woke her!). Run by friendly...

What a lovely place. We arrived with a flight from Bangkok over Guangzhou in Guilin in the afternoon and were picked up by a bus which brought us to Longsheng. It seems we were slightly unprepared as we needed to pay entrance to the 'rice terraces' on our way. We were no aware of this. The the bus driver dropped...

Although basic (squatty loos) and a bit confusing to find. Beds were comfy, food was good and the whole place had a fantastic community feel. Location was absolutely stunning, amazing views accross the rice terraces. We enjoyed a suprise powercut and played chess my candle light! Amazing experience, helpful staff and would highly recommend staying a night to catch the...
