Overall nice place to stay in Longsheng. Old creeky wooden building, but characterful. It might be a bit noisy if lots of people were in it as it was not well insulated. It is in a nice location, but around a 30 minute walk from the bus-stop which can be quite a slog if you have big back-packs. Perhaps leave... More

The hostel is located in Tiantou village, a 40 minute walk from Dazhai village. The hostel sent us the walking directions by e-mail, they were very easy to follow. He walk is easy and we were quick even with our large backpacks. The hostel is in a great location with awesome views over the rice terraces. It is a good... More

Booked through Agoda so minimal information on how to get there- we had an unexpected 45 minute uphill hike in the rain from the Dazhai parking lot. Comfortable beds, incredible views, reasonably priced food and helpful staff awaited us though making it well worth it. Also be prepared to pay 95Y per person to get into the national park to... We stayed at this hostel for one night in May 2016 and enjoyed our time there. We had a private double room with ensuite bathroom. The room was sparse but had an incredible view across the rice terraces. The bed was comfortable and had an electric blanket on it which we didn’t need but would be great in winter. Towels... More

Little piece of paradise off the beaten track! Great place to explore the Longji rice terraces with astonishing views! Restaurant worth as well the detour and the staff is the most helpful I have seen so far in whole China! Particular big thanks to Xuan Xuan who made our stay so delightful! Would definitely come back there one day!

Spent 2 nights here with a friend. Was a bit of hike to get up there (around 45min), but you get a great view in exchange as you are up near the top. It was low season as well so they upgraded our room to an ensuite and the view was great. The menu was standard but good, we ate there... More

I loved staying in this hostel. Before arriving the owner helped me to organize a bus from Guilin to Longsheng. She made the entire process so easy and she was so fast to respond to my emails. I went to Longji on a city escape as I was feeling stressed with work etc - this really was the perfect place... More

A very basic hostel. Fantastic views of the Rice Terraces and Ok food. Hostel was very noisy with very thin walls. No electricity or hot water when we arrived but eventually got a hot shower in the "bathroom" that was falling apart. Prices appeared to have more than trebled for golden week, making this hostel a very expensive option at... More

If you are visiting rice terraces at DaZhai, Dragon's Den hostel is one of the nice and affordable place to stay with English speaking front desk staff. Ask for rice terrace view rooms. We stayed at 305. Nice terrace view from the window. From Dazhai car parking lot, It takes slightly more than an hour to reach this place. But... More
