The views from the hotel are amazing. In terms of the rooms themselves, they leave a little to be desired. Like most accommodation in rural China, they are in need of a good clean. As well the toilet is fairly smelly. On the plus side though, western toilets and a great shower. The food in the restaurant is good enough... More

Hotel was a little hard to find- especially since we were carrying our own back packs vs getting porters who probably know the location. Ping An is much bigger than I'd imagined. View from the balcony is amazing & what you've come to Ping An to see. Room is OK- really fantastic rain water shower but Wifi was a bit... More

We really enjoyed this place. The porters are very handy to carry all the luggage up hill. The food is very good and the view outstanding. From here you van make beautiful walking tours through the rice terraces. Don't take a massage here. The same girls who carry your bags and make your diner do the massage. Bad experience but... The location of the hotel is just marvelous, with views over the rice paddies from the terrace and your hotel room. The staff is friendly and helpful. However the rooms were poorly maintained and not cleaned daily. I don't know the other hotels in Ping'an, but I expect similar basic quality. The village is probably growing to fast due to... More

They upgraded us to a family room even though we had booked a normal room. We had a private terrasse with beautiful view on rice fields - water with hot shower - room clean ! Lovely staff - food was good ! And hotel is cheap ! We really recommend this place :)

This was our first stop out of Shanghai, and we were pretty happy with it. We were met at the airport by one of the guys who runs the hotel and we got to Pingan just before dark. It takes about 15 or 20 minutes to climb up to the hotel, which wasn't a problem for us, and I guess... More

This property is in an area where vehicle access does not exist and probably neither do building regulations. But it is fun even when the power is off because of a storm or when a group of locals come to celebrate something that requires rapid consumption of drinks. Our room had great views from the balcony and plenty of space.... More

The Li Qing Hotel is simple but clean with very firm beds. A reasonable menu is served, and it is almost essential to eat there if dining after dusk as the steps are not well lit. There is a large communal area for dining or seating, and 2 verandas if weather and temperature permit. Our room had small balcony. Full... More

We (family with two teenage kids) spent two nights here. The rooms and bathroom are small and simple. Meals, including the breakfast, are fine. Needed since there are not exactly many alternatives in the village. We enjoyed sitting out on the terrace on the first afternoon. Wifi worked and the staff kind. There is a steep half hour walk from... More

We stayed in Liqing 2. The hotel is simply good given the remoteness of the village. Ping'an cannot be reached by car. It is a 30 minute walk from the parking place uphill to Ping'an village. It is beautifully located between the rice fields on the many hills. We spotted a cockroch or two on our room, but we lived... More
