If you're looking for out of the way and quiet -- Serene is out of the way and quiet!!! Comfortable setting; gracious hosts and yummy breakfast (by the water of course). Walking distance to 2 great Restaurants (Flying Fishbone and Zeerover). Best to rent a car if you stay here.
Simple room accommodations and a great air conditioner! Having a refrigerator in the room was awesome! Large shower!

The only thing missing (and it by no means reflects my rating) would be SAND! a little more beach - or being able to walk down the beach.
Thank beelikeme

Wonderful small atmosphere. They treat you like family and cook an Oceanside breakfast each day with eggs, coffee, bacon, fresh fruit, and juice. Small area to access the ocean, sun chairs, access to the ocean, beautiful sunsets. Room includes a small fridge, beach towels, snorkel equipment, and small cooler. Clean basic accommodations, charming interior. We requested a Queen bed and ocean view room. Try out Flying Fishbone restaurant within steps from the parking area also a real treat! Loved it! We will be back.

I stayed at Serene by the Sea for about 7 nights. By far, one of the best parts of my entire trip to Aruba. The location is amazingly gorgeous. It was a much needed treat to be able to walk out of my room and look at the beautiful water and to see a breathtaking sunset right outside my door. The room was lovely and spacious with everything you need and a little extra (they provide you with beach towels, snorkeling gear, AND coolers). While it is farther away from the main part of the island, it is more than worth the drive back to a serene sanctuary when you're ready to wrap up your day on the beach. There are a couple of great restaurants in walking distance and if you need a cab, the owners are more than happy to call one for you.

Besides the location being breathtaking, the people really made the experience special. Serene is family run and they treat their guests like they are also a part of the family. The genuine hospitality I felt there is not something that is easily found nor can it be duplicated. Truly one of a kind. A stay at Serene is made extra special by the people that you will meet. The hotel staff and guests are people that I will never forget and the great memories are plenty! (some I have yet to recover lol). All in all, this is at the top of the list for places to stay in Aruba!!! I'll be back!

Side note: The manager has great musical taste!
Thank Ashley H

I just got back from a few days at Serene By the Sea. If you are considering this hotel- don't hesitate, it's not going to be a well kept secret much longer... The lovely beachfront location is beyond compare and like nothing else in Aruba. The hospitality of Reno and his lovely family was a real treat. Breakfast overlooking the water and sunsets were 2 of the highlights of our stay. Serene by the Sea can arrange a special dinner or visit Tia Rosa's food truck and nearby Zeerovers for reasonably priced meals. For those concerned about the location - don't be, just rent a car. It's an easy 20-30 min ride to Palm Beach or anywhere else. Staying in Savaneta was a great choice to experience the other side of Aruba.

My wife and I visited and wanted something that was quiet and away from the crowded areas and we found it here. The family was hospitable and the other people staying there were friendly. There are only a couple of units, so there is not a worry about it getting crowded.

Hi yes the rental cars are safe, it would be better if you want to explore the island. There are a couple of restaurants in the area, like 5 minute walks. It normaly takes around 15 minutes to town
