Feb 7th My wife and I called into The Bell for lunch. We were treated to a warm welcome from the Bar Manager and met the new general manager as well. The Bell has had a shake up and about time too. Lunch was excellent, my wife had the crab fishcakes' new to the menu and I had there home...

My wife and I, plus friend, stayed overnight on route to Somerset. Our room was very nice, and bed was comfortable. Our room had a separate lounge with fridge, sink, tea making facilities and items for a continental breakfast, plus bowl of fruit. Breakfast in dining area was served from 10am, this suited us fine, but may not suit all....

Having visited a few times during the summer we chose to visit for the pub and restaurant and stay over in one of the rooms. From arrival we were welcomed in a friendly honest manner by all the staff. Nick showed us our room which was all in order clean and tidy. We ate in the restaurant where many special...

As we were going to a celebration in the area we were luck to book a room here as in the past they have always been fully booked. We were only here for the one night and found everything to be fine. The room, although it had a comfortable double bed, was a bit on the small size but good...

My friends and I visited today, 30 bikers who had told the pub ahead of time we were visiting. Plenty of hard standing for the bikes, swift service from the team, uttely delicious beef roast dinner and friendly staff. Thoroughly recomended. A++!

Enjoyed a lovely over night stay, having visited the Westonbirt Arboretum. Excellent food, very friendly staff, who went that extra mile. We stayed in the large double room which was very spacious and comfortable.

Went for an early evening meal on Tuesday, which is Pie night. Good value and good quality straight forward meals. On white plates, which is how we like it. £5 for the basic pie and then you pay for chips, wedges etc to your own likes. Good values and pleasant atmosphere. Will go again.

Stayed for one night. The staff were lazy, rude and unprofessional. The room was cleaned but cramped. The shower was set to scalding and couldn't be adjusted. Coked breakfast did not start until 10am, so clearly not something they want guests to have. We had to make do with the bread and cereal left in our room, but as the...

after visiting the Bell for Sunday lunch we will definitely be returning. Although service was rather slow, obviously due to the number of customers, the Sunday lunch was excellent, lovely fresh ingredients cooked perfectly.

We have eaten and drank at the Bell many many time as it's so well situated in the village. However our recent eating experience was dreadful for one reason - namely a young member of staff called Rianna served my wife and son then ran down to the bar to play with her friends leaving me without my meal. I...
