Our experience at this resort was unfortunately underwhelming. While we were looking forward to a relaxing and enjoyable stay, we couldn’t help but feel that the room we received was overpriced for what it offered. It lacked the level of comfort and attention to detail that one might expect at this price point.
Adding to the disappointment was the food. It was, at best, average and didn’t leave a lasting impression. When visiting a resort, we believe that meals play a significant role in the overall experience, and unfortunately, this aspect fell short.
The resort itself had potential, but these factors overshadowed what could have been a great getaway. For the price we paid, we had expected a much higher standard of quality and service.
Regrettably, based on our experience, this is not a place we would consider returning to in the future. There are many other options that provide better value for money and a more enjoyable experience.
It’s always disappointing when expectations aren’t met, especially when you’re looking forward to a special trip. We hope the resort takes feedback like this to heart and makes improvements for future guests.

Frustrated and tired, heading back to home from a place that we discarded to stay as it was below average and unkempt, we were crossing Zara’s Resort and checked for accommodation availability and luckily got a night stay in deluxe room for 2 Adults and 2 Kids with breakfast.
1st Night: Deluxe Room facing the property’s backyard
The deluxe room’s compact and they provide mattress if required for a kid above 5 years. Had dinner buffet at their restaurant “Rani Rasoi” with a nice patio to sit outside, facing a ground and main swimming pool. Kids played till late night and parents joined them or just relaxed around.
Breakfast Buffet was decent.
2nd Night: The cottage facing the play area.
Then we upgraded to a cottage which was bigger and facing the property’s kids garden area. We relaxed, walked around and kids also enjoyed. Lunch at the same restaurant. Evening high tea also there. Though there’s room service, but the place tempts you to be out all the time.
And then the magic happened in the evening…Clouds came down and the whole resort became foggy! It was wonderful to cherish that time and kids loved it as they witnessed it for the first time! The place is very good for families and especially kids as they can enjoy in the midst of nature. I also took my kids to see birds and a horse, kept within the resort.
Recommend this property to go with family, friends or a big group.

The resort is on the road with imposing two gates and all facilities written nearby. The rooms are big but ordinary. The pool is deep and clean and other for children not clean. Gym and games room is there but nothing attracts you. The restaurant serves buffet breakfast but it cannot be called lavish. It is better to stay in Lonavala and come to see Khandala.

We went for a long weekend as a family of 3. The property is huge and has many amenities. There are 2 open spaces, big enough to play football, cricket, or badminton with your family. There are 2 swimming pools too - one for kids and one for adults. Both well maintained. Additionally, there is a small room for indoor games - carrom and pool table.
The room was good too. We got one with a balcony and it was sealed with sliding windows to allow for the AC to have a good cooling effect there. The view wasn't outstanding though, considering that we were on a hill station. But, the property is less than 1 km from popular view points of Khandala, so no complaints.
The menu has a wide variety and the food is delicious too. We weren't bored even during a 3-day stay. Plus, the service was courteous. Everyone from the reception, housekeeping and room service was polite and prompt to help with our requests. Prem, Rutik, Chetan, Manoj, Roshan, and Rajesh were a few people we interacted with. This resort offers you almost everything that you may wish for in a great weekend! The ambience, the serenetiy, the rooms, the facilities, everything was excellent!
You will get pool facing / stable facing spacious and clean rooms with hot shower all day, clean wahrooms, towels, a TV, mini-fridge, and cutlery with tea /coffee options.
There are seating space (benches and swings) avaialble around the pool to spend time.
In house hotel available for guests who do not wish to go out for meals. Play room available with options like TT, Carrom and Pool which was maintained pretty well.
Located at a quiet place away from the city makes it an attractive pick for most, and sunset point is just 15 mins walk away, what more can you ask for?!
Overall it was a great choice, friendly staff and services.

My review is not based on stay but overall interaction that I had with this resort. I had booked this place for 1 night stay on 28th-29th June 2023 with extremely high excitement, however due to some unavoidable personal reasons I had to cancel the plan and hence I informed the resort 2 days prior to the check-in date. I asked them for a refund OR if they could postpone to some other date, which was simply denied by them. I understand that the resort is sticking to its policy, but the only thing which disappoints me is that, if this resort were customer centric, they could have put some efforts in retaining their guests instead of being inconsiderate. The resort should understand that the fact that, as humans anyone could be in such unavoidable situations which are out of anyone's control. So rather than denying straight away they could have been more considerate. This is something which displays the morale and values of any business.

Better understanding considering the Covid-19 situation. The resort called up a day earlier to confirm the arrival, but did not inform about the Covid-19 restrictions, upon arrival after being told the same to us, decided to reduce the stay and the same was not accepted and had to pay the pre-decided stay as the booking was done through Booking.com. Tried having chat with Booking.com which was not addressed. While making the booking on the website it was clearly indicated that the stay was for 4 adults and 2 childrens, however the booking was done for 4 adults only.
the least they could have done is to have sufficient staff in kitchen, the menu provided was bare minimum with absolutely no option of having any Indian Gravy, the only option was to order 1kg food for which they needed 1 day notice to arrange.
The breakfast option was horrible.
Would have appreciated a heads up from the Hotel Management about the restrictions so that we could have planned our stay and possibly look at other options available where there was no restrictions specially on food.

Sorry to say, Deluxe Suit Maintainance is very Poor, Washroom Exhaust fan out of order, Hot water Gyser not working, Electricity supply gets trip frequently and so on issues/disorders/Complaints. The Front office Receiption/Management is not upto the mark, unable to takle the problems, they are arogent. They are providing hot water bucket for bathing as Dharamshalas.

Neither the location nor the service quality is good. For every thing, you have to request at least 3-4 times. Even for water bottles, you have to ask them again and again. And cleaning they will not do even after multiple requests. Very bad experience. Moreover, the quality and taste of food is also not good. Would not recommend to anyone to stay there.

Actually If I would tell about one of the best thing in this resort is only Food and their staff. You can opt for the buffet and find various tasty foods over there. They have good no of option for veg and non veg both as well.
