Have usually stayed at Manas or Mystic Valley on my previous trips. This was a very late decision and due to availability we picked Tropical Retreat.
This girl who co-ordinated the booking, Antasia, was very helpful and we went for the all meals plans, not wanting to move out due to Covid situation.
When we checked in, the bed seemed small for the 3 of us and she was helpful in getting us into a mezanine room which had 2 beds.
The rooms have a balcony and all rooms face the pool. The staff is very helpful. There were sanitisers placed all over the place and the room and common areas were sanitised everyday
The icing on the cake for us was that this property has a small adventure zone and my hyperactive 7 year old had a lot of fun on the Burma Bridge and the Rope walks.
The food needs a special mention as though the spread was limited it was delicious.
The only thing that could be better would have been fly control. There were flies in the restaurant. Barring this it was a very enjoyable experience.

Stayed here on a rainy weekend in August and our experience was perfect. Buffet spread was amazing and had insane variety in both veg and nonveg, probably the best food one can find in Igatpuri. Breakfast buffet had live counters for dosas, eggs and waffles, and even their teatime samosas were made fresh to order! The lawns and decor are beautiful, so lots of good photo opportunities. Game room was stocked well and had a billiards table, which we rather enjoyed. The dining area and lobby are spacious enough to maintain social distancing, and the staff was mindful of COVID protocol and sanitation. Lots of parking spots for cars.
Even though we were only 2 people, we were allotted a Mezzanine room which was on the first floor. Will recommend this over the double rooms on the ground floor because the pool view is much better from higher up. We went in the middle of the week, so the place was super quiet.
Bhavali dam is very near and makes for a good evening drive. There are also a few easy hikes nearby. Apart from that, we just stayed at the hotel and relaxed. Great value for money, especially in the monsoons. Highly recommended!

Chose to stay during the unlock 4 after a lot of online research. Location is convenient-off mumbai nashik expressway, yet good. Impressive protocol followed in covid times temperature screening, luggage sanitization and staff in PPE. However there were a few faults- The thermal noncontact instrument was faulty and staff with PPEs had masks below their nose. Checkin process was smooth nearly contactless. The first look of the resort was pleasing. It was clean and had all the facilities viz SPA (not functional due to covid), indoor games, outdoor lawn and a nice swimming pool. The water body with lotus plants leading to the restaurant was appealing. Had a bad experience in being alloted rooms with non functioning ACs, the fact which was not divulged even after repeated enquiries reflecting unprofessional attitude. However efforts at the 11th hour by Mr kedar and Mr Gurtej singh culminated in some relief, finally we got a fully functioning room and a compensatory buffet dinner. The breakfast and dinner spread were good and wholesome.we got good jain options too. Staff was courteous and helpful especially Mr kedar, Mr Gurtej and the TV and AC maintenance guys. Overall a good experience and would surely recommend to others. Request the hotel staff to be more transparent and forthcoming about any deficiency or mishaps (beyond their control) as revealing them rather then hiding (as in our case) creats mistrust.

The resorts looks amazing with the photographs on the internet so we thought it was ok to pay that much price. The resort is just2 minutes away from the highway.
Rooms : We had got the corner room. Our room no was 112. As soon as we entered in the room the bathrooms were stinking very bad. We had to call the room service twice to clean it. Then too the stink did not go. The AC was not working properly. The technician had came twice to repair it. On the 2nd day when the room service came to clean the room , they did not change the bedsheet. Infact they turned the same bedsheet upside down and it was again put on the bed. When we asked why they did not change the bedsheet, we were given reason that others do not do it. We had to request them to change the bedsheet. The window sliding was also broken. We had to show them the photograph.
Food : The food was good only when we checked in. Infact on the Christmas eve the food was really bad. Not much options. The desserts , salads and the breads were all covered with FLIES. We had complained about the same at the reception but nothing was done. We could see the FLIES all over the dessert every time we had meal.
The email we received from the representative with the confirmation of the booking details mentioned that if we want late checkout we can request. However when we requested it was denied. The front desk representative was not very helpful When my husband showed him the picture of broken window thats when somebody came in. We had to actually write them an email with the conditions of the room for which we got reply after 2 days.
Just 2 weeks back I stayed with a 5* Hotel in Mumbai comparatively with the less rates I had got amazing service and food. Here at tropical retreat I had spent almost paid 23000/- for 2 days , my stay was absolutely bad.
I would definitely NOT RECOMMEND anyone to stay there.

I always prefer quality of a resort over the brand. This resort has neither of the two. I planned this trip for my family to get some fresh air after months of lockdown. I expected there to be some sense of social distancing there but sadly there was none, especially in the dining area. People gathered right behind each other at the live food counters to place their orders. Imagine 20 people standing one behind another breathing down each other's necks without a mask during this pandemic. While checking out, our bags were brought out on the same trolley as bags from other rooms - again something that's not acceptable during a pandemic. Moving on from the poor social distancing we saw over the resort, another dissapointing experience was the wifi. In resorts located in remote areas, we don't have 4g available with full service so people depend on the wifi. At about 5 pm on day 2 I called up the reception requesting them to check the wifi as it wasn't working. 2 hours later they told me it was 7 of my devices that were faulty but not their wifi. This was an argument I had with no successful conclusion. The staff just put their hands up. When I went out to look at the wifi extender for our rooms, it was broken. something that can easily be fixed, was just not. The entire experience was poor except for the single room service staff that did his best to service all rooms in our block with food that was fresh and hot for us. For anyone who values money, do not visit this resort in Igatpuri or any other locations they might have one at. Get your money worth by driving down an extra hour to sulla.

Our family group of 14 had a great time at Tropical Resort, Igatpuri between 28th and 30 th December 2020.
Very nice, clean and cozy rooms add to comfort and "feel good" factor.
Clenliness, safety systems , very well arranged Menu in Restaurant are all plua points.
Roy, Ninad and entire team at the dining areas were awsome in Hospitality and service.
Food is also nice and tasty.
Well kept lawns, Reception areas, Walkways , huge parking areas are scoring points.
Advanture sports arena, indoor (enclosed )area for cricket and other sports etc are big enough for those who love to play sports.
Overall a very lovely and comfortable experience at Tropical Retreat Resort, Igatpuri, Maharashtra , India

I would highly recommend this hotel, if you planning a trip with Kids. They have excellent Adventure sports zone. Even in pandemic, when Pool are closed, kids to get place to enjoy. We as parents can be on our own too. Perfect Food to match all age groups. I would suggest to take Buffet in all meals, as the spread is super against the price they charge. The best thing is if you travelling during weekend, you shall get benefit of live music or any entertainment in evening.
Thus, overall i would say one of best hotel in Ighatpuri among all. Pricing differs site - to site when you book, but you may come across same great deals. To conclude, We shall definitely plan our next visit soon.

My package was including all meals. The day we were to checkout, the resort was fully booked for some wedding however the previous night only the preparation started and quiet some places got inaccessible due to that. They watered placing chairs the previous evening and blocked the main lobby and few other places. They couldn’t even accommodate my lunch on checkout, which ideally should have been part of the package coz the restaurant was reserved for wedding guest, an option of packing the lunch was given, but why would anyone do that, you can’t eat a meal in tour car, rather one would drop by to a restaurant. We were travelling with our parents and they somehow enjoy the buffet meal, this was very unpleasant of them. Anything within the package should definitely be considered, it’s a little unfair otherwise. Also we had booked the resort considering the pool was functioning however on arrival we were informed that pool isn’t functioning, after informing them that we would like to checkout they started the pool for an hour. Overall experience was below average.

Located close to the Nashik Highway available on Gmaps. Well Guarded & Secure Entry to the resort. It's a Huge Resort with Lots of Activities, a Big swimming pool, temperature-controlled pool, Gaming Room with lots of games, Hot water Jacuzzi, Big Gardens, Cricket & Football Turf, Disco, Restaurant, SPA, et.al All the above things are very well maintained and Operational. The parking lot is big enough to accommodate all the weekend Rush. The complete Staff in the Resort is well Dressed, Well Behaved, Polite & Helpful. Special mention to POONAM from the restaurant staff for taking care of us for 2 Days right from Buffet Breakfast till Dinner. The Restaurant is Big & Clean. The Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner serve Delicious food with Live Counters and a good variety of items. The menu was different every day and all the dishes were fresh & excellent in Taste. Discotheque has got a good DJ playing foot-tapping Music and Great Disco Lights. The spa is operational but you need prior Appointments. The Jacuzzi Tub is big enough for 6 Adults and is very relaxing, but again needs prior Appointments. The Main Swimming Pool is Clean and Big which is cleaned every day. There is Kids Pools, 3ft, 4ft, and Max 5ft depth in the pool. They have speakers playing music which adds to the Fun in the pool. They have a separate Temp-Controlled Pool at the backside which is Small with 5ft depth. The activities area has got many things to do with Proper Safety measures and separate Staff. It has got limited operational hours. The Cricket and Basketball Turf is very well maintained. Bat, Ball, Stumps, and Basketball are available with the security. We had booked the Anthurium Room which comes with an extra Bed on 1st floor like a Duplex. The rooms are very Spacious, Neat, and tidy with all the basic amenities. Best part is they give you 4 1ltr mineral water. The View from the balcony was amazing, Mountain View. The weather was Hot during the Day but Very Pleasant and Cool at the night even in Summers. Overall a wonderful experience.

The room we stayed was Anthurium, its a duplex room with modest setup. Rooms were very neat and clean.
The property looks very new and is well maintained, it has all the modern room amenities. Having said its a huge area to spend quality time with your family & friends.
The pool view to the room makes your evening very pleasant. You wish to sit in the balcony and enjoy a sip of tea or drinks.
Also there are some indoor games in the property like snooker, carrom, table tennis etc.
Swimming pool was closed due to COVID.
Buffet is available at a very reasonable rate and the food is equally tasty.
Staff on the other end is very well disciplined and punctual.
A good place to visit with family, friends and couples for a night or 2.
