The place is an absolute value for money. The rooms are large and clean. Each room has a balcony which provides a good place to enjoy sunrise if you decide not to go to the beach. This place is a 5 minute walking distance from the beach and all the eating places highly-rated on Tripadvisor are situated nearby. The owner is very friendly and helpful.

We were at this lodge for a overnight stay and its very much decent hotel. The charges are very much reasonable and worth the price. It is run by a family who is very helpful and kind and live at the same place. The resort is very much near by the Ganpati pule beach.
The beach is at a great place to hangout during the evening time and the sea is very much clear and clean. There are ample of coconut stalls at the entrance of beach so anyone can enjoy drinking coconut water over here. Para sailing rides are available on the beach but not probably on all days, specially on weekend
About the temple, its a very good holy place and the ambience is just great. Not much crowded on the weekdays so one can have a great time over here. Evening aarti at 7pm is a wonderful experience so if you can manage then go for it.
Neraby places are Fish world aquarium (5kms away from the beach) which is not so great but can be visited. Children can enjoy here as you can see different kind of fishes. Prachin konkan is a place which is a must watch (1 km from beach). Very well build and very much informative about the Ratnagiri traditions. It takes almost half an hour to view the whole place and one can enjoy “Moodak” and “Kokam juice” served inside Prachin konkan at a small hotel. There are various kind of hand made accessories available at the stall.
Ganpatipule temple is a bit far from Ratnagiri station (almost one and a half hour journey). Richshaws are available from station but they charge too much around 450 rupees so its better to catch bus from ratnagiri depot which fare 35 rupees per person. Having our own vehicle is anytime a good option so you can also visit near by places.
Volvo A/C buses are available from evening 5 to 7 directly from Ganpatipule temple to Pune or Mumbai.
Overall it was a great experience and had a gud time with my partner.

I had been to this lodge in this August and found it quite hygienic and the staff is very friendly!!! It's value for money!!!!! The scenic and beautiful sea was breathtaking. Also visit the jaigad fort and prachin konkan to take memories back home. The only thing is you need to have a habit of eating spicy food especially with more chillies!!!hehehehe

I had my own doubts when I searched & selected this hotel due to some previous "not so good"experiences at Ganapatipule hotels.
But I was pleasently surprised with the cleanliness, calm and quiet location of this hotel.
The location is quite near to famous Ganaptipule temple.
The hotel also offers ample parking space.
I had rented a room with 4 beds (for family of 4 adults & 2 children) and overall arrangement was quite suitable for this big family.
The rates are also quite good.
The staff is efficient & well mannered.
Please don't expect this to be a very hi-fi place with lot of amenities but certainly it is a good place to have a one/two night stay.

I recently visited to this Lodge. The key areas of this lodge is as below -
1] It is near to Ganpatipule Temple.
2] Not most but enough cleanness to stay for one or two nights.
3] Warm gesture oriented staff & owner. As owner is living there itself so it is good for family as safety perspective.
4] They have their own restaurant.
5] Ample Parking space.

Advice for owner - Need to improve in below area -
1] Please provide Packed Mineral Water, single small soaps & tooth-paste in room by taking additional charges. It costs max Rs.50
2] Break-fast should be ready at normal time i.e. 8 AM.
3] Provide min. 2 charging point and that should be near to Bed.

Advice to traveller -
1] If you want to stay here then choose Balcony Room. So you can take experience of Fresh Air.
2] Carry your own mineral water bottles, soap & paste from outside shops.

We stayed for a night and 2 days in a 8 bedded room. The room was spacious and clean. Hot water is available in the mornings, although we did not need it in March. The beach was lovely. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They arranged a room when we reached before the check-in time. And also charged very reasonably when we checked out nearly 6 hrs late.
Lunch and dinner can be had at the close by veg. restaurant.

This is a typical bed n breakfast lodge.. but the rooms n service is more than expected. Though one cannot expect a star rated treatment. But i feel it is worth the tarif. The food served was good. But you should try Shivnandan and Shrisagar as they have a big list in their menu..
